grin grin How much do those cars even cost sef? They prolly cost less than 30k u.s.d. Ogun state govt. donated 50 special edition Hilux trucks (that cost over 50k u.s.d a piece) to the Nigerian Police in the state and nobody made noise about it. Smh.

Bros, I tire oo when some people said such vehicles can only be seen in lagos state (while other SW states doesn't have such), I was like has these people ever visited ogun and Oyo states? I am certain they will see such vehicles located at strategic points.

I wonder why my SE brothers brag about every dick and Harry launched and truth of the matter is after 6 months, those vehicle will be begging for mercy but in short it's a welcome development from Ndigbos. I admire their level of expertise but they should stop bullying SW as if we are rivals. wink

they were praising Ambode for dealing with Igbos. Clearly from the article we can see dat yoruba traders are basially small-timers....complaining of rent going from 180k to 300k while Igbos pay 1.2 million for a new store space. When they try to hurt Igbos, they hurt themselves more.

Ok, ok, ok. If it will make you people let us hear word for once, Igbo traders in Lagos are richer than their Yoruba traders. Sotay dem don begin carry drugs join trading. There you have it. I hope you are happy now that I said you all are the richer traders? So when will una commence the move to Onitsha, abi na Aba? Coz this perpetual whining is getting tired. undecided

No, while we Igbos sympathized with every one who have lost their livelihood sources, your Yoruba brothers in NL think that Ambode is dealing with the Igbos not knowing their ppl is that worst hit, your ppl cant even afford the new market while Igbos have moved on, I said it before, you cant hold an Igbo man down from doing business he will rather do his business on the high sea and still make his money, Now Yoruba traders are crying probably because they have used most of their savings for Owambe while the Igbo traders have moved on as they have saved for the rainy day.

Yinmu. You Nairaland Igbos didn't sympathize with anyone but rather seized the incident as another opportunity to play the victim card and even MOCK the affected Igbo traders for refusing to relocate to the SE. One of you even went as far as accusing your fellows of being cursed if they relocate to any alternative shop:

https://www.nairaland.com/2847606/igbo-moves-oshodi-buy-shop

You said your traders have moved on yet they are still crying and even demanding for compensation?

https://www.today.ng/news/national/63090/oshodi-demolition-igbo-traders-demand-n20bn-compensation

It's obvious you people have serious mental and psychological issues. I'm glad that you at least acknowledged that trading is not the exclusive preserve of Igbos in Lagos cheesy, and that Yoruba traders are equally making their money cheesy, just that you feel in your warped thinking that your folks 'save' more of theirs. Smh. With the way you all were going about it, one would've been forgiven for thinking that Igbos are the only traders at the demolished Oshodi market. And by the way, how Yoruba traders choose to spend their money is none of your business. You are better off championing the relocation of your brothers to the SE and their demand for compensation than taking Panadol for Yoruba traders headache.

I Laugh YORUBAS when they are mocking IGBOS saying they have destroyed their business, we can now see that Yorubas are the most affected and they cannot even afford the new market while Igbos are already moving to the new shops.

There is adage thats says if lizard and Rat are beaten by rain when Lizards body will dry up, Rat's body will still be wet. I laff SWners

If as you observed Yorubas are also affected, and "Igbos are already moving to the new shops", why then are you all crying more than the bereaved? Must you whine and play the victim about everything? ?

What is this adekodere is saying . A friend of mine paid 15k pay month in the same Oshodi market even when it was just a tiny space that he was allowed to sale. No place in Oshodi pays 5k except road side hawkers . Forget about false media propaganda. I stayed in Oshodi for 4years and information am giving you is based on fact.

If every tribe should do same way your fish brain tells you, do you think it will augur well with that your egocentric baseless postulation especially your people that occupies SE offices.

Yinmu. I'll rather believe the Commissioner for Environment who went on record to say what I quoted, than some lying faceless internet iPod tout. Go and refute his assertions if you're sure of yourself and call a press conference to that effect. Or better still pack your load and relocate to the SE if you're not happy. Kapish! No amount of blackmail from you perpetual whiners will deter the Lagos state govt from doing her job. Y'all just can't be pleased no matter the 'palliatives' una go still claim victimization so make una buzz off abeg. cheesy

Adejare added that the governor had been so magnanimous to have allowed the shop owners acquire new shops in Isopakodowo market at N5,000 in a place like Oshodi.

“There is nowhere in Lagos where you will be paying N5, 000 per shop not to talk of the central Oshodi, but the governor agreed with them and we said we were ready to concede after which we now formally served them with a quit notice through the office of the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,” he said.

Abeg which other palliative una want again? ? If the traders complaining of victimization are dissatisfied with this Lagos state govt's offer of a 5k shop palliative at a better location, then they should sharply relocate to the SE. End of Discussion.

Imagine o. Yet some people will be opening mischievous propaganda threads claiming the allocated shops at the BETTER alternative market cost between 1 to 3-million naira? ? I am pretty sure it'll be difficult to find a shop that's as cheap as the Lag govt alternative market in the SE, yet these people just like to wail and cry about VICTIMIZATION at the slightest opportunity.

If Una feel victimized please pack up and go back to the SE. Una blackmail attempts are Dead on Arrival. Truth is you can never please some folks no matter what you do.

Politics / APC Seeks Partnership With Chinese Communist Party - The Sun by YoruBanger: 4:54am On Jan 07, 2016
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/apc-seeks-partnership-with-chinese-communist-party/

…President invites Buhari on state visit

From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja

ALL Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday signaled intent to partner with the ruling political party of the Peoples Republic of China, the Communist Party of China (CPC).

This was disclosed at a meeting held at the APC national secretariat in Abuja between National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni and a Chinese government delegation led by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Qin Jian.

The party’s chief scribe, who was represented at the meeting by APC’s Director of Organisation, Alhaji Kyari Abubakar, said: “China is a very important technical and trading partner to Nigeria. Both countries have enjoyed excellent social, economic and cultural relations.

“As China is aware, Nigeria recently witnessed a change of government which ushered in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The time for better cooperation between both countries is now as the APC and the Buhari administration work to deliver on its Change mandate,” he assured.

Speaking further, he noted that the healthy relations between Nigeria and China would ultimately be of benefit to Africa, adding that capacity-building and collaboration are the areas APC and the Chinese CPC can partner.

Meanwhile, Jian told APC leadership that the Chinese President Xi Jinping has invited President Buhari on a state visit on a yet-to-be-announced date.

He further revealed that following the successful 2015 Forum on China-Africa Co-operation (FOCAC) summit which brought together Chinese senior government officials and most African heads of government to Johannesburg, South Africa in December, the Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced a $60 billion aid package for Africa.

The package aid, according to him, would finance a broad range of assistance programmes to help Africa industrialise and modernise its agricultural production, boost the skills of its workers, build infrastructure and improve its health care.

I am not here to do wrestling competition with you.

I am here to point out things people don't see that counts.

WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS PEOPLE DON'T SEE

1) Economic orientation

2) Social orientation

3) Cultural orientation

ECONOMIC ORIENTATION

SOCIAL ORIENTATION

CULTURAL ORIENTATION

Cultural orientation: SE people tend to help their people start up business or get jobs to ease financial burden.

Do SW successful people help their people out of poverty.?

Poppycock! You all feasted on this thread, gunz blazing, hoping to have a field day talking shyt about the same region that is host to your armies of destitutes all over the SW region. You bold o, sitting there talking about SW people and poverty in the same sentence, compared to your nomadic ethnic group. Last time I checked, Igbo traders are in every nook and cranny of the SW region, selling their wares and coming in droves as economic migrants. We gave you all a market, bigger, more robust and better than anything you can match in your region. That is why we are your preferred destination anyday! Who are those buying from your traders? No be we Yorubas? Y'all invade our region coz you know we have the spending power and moola to buy your goods, without which y'all would be bankrupt! # FACT.

Go to the Agric section of this forum and see what young and energetic SW youths are doing in Agric, making more than your traders can only dream of. Just coz we don't make as much noise as y'all don't mean we're stupid. We're just silent achievers, that's all. Yinmu.
