If you are real omo oduduwa you should be able to read and understand

Arinze or whatever you call yourself. You guys are the ones always eager to measure deeks with Yoruba folks like you have a point to prove that you can measure up to us. Upon all the pictures you all keep repeating in every thread, Ogun still beats you hands down infrastructurally without even breaking a sweat. Economically it's CRIMINAL to even compare Anambra to Ogun because trading is the only viable occupation of private entreprise in Anambra. Not everyone wants to be a trader and that's why even Anambra indigenes with more ambition are forced to flee the state in droves.

Ogun is more robust in its offerings as industrial, mining and emerging commercial hub, not to mention its strategic position as neighbour to the Big Kahuna Lasgidi, which is why it keeps attracting more attention and emigration than your state. In spite of our 'brown-roofs', we are still your people's preferred sanctuary for economic emigration. Cure yourself of your inferiority complex issues and quit trying to measure deeks with those that will always be better than you. You are fighting a losing battle for real.

How are you?

Man you are wicked. That was below the belt yo. You sabi them wella. They're all from the 'village'. grin

Perhaps Ogun folks need to take some time out from their busy schedules and go around all the GRAs in the state and start snapping pictures like these jobless ibeo touts whose only vocation is snapping GRA pictures and posting them online for propaganda purposes. It's really bad to be jobless.

Yoroubas stop deceiving yourselves.... You guys did not develop Lagos, and No tribe can hold on to Lagos as their own in terms of development.

Yinmu. You certainly dont know what you are talking about. Lagos stopped enjoying FG attention and was abandoned by the FG since '91 in favour of Abj in terms of development. Up until '99 when Tinubu took over as uts governor the state had stopped developing. The Lagos everyone is talking about and praising today is the brainchild of Tinubu and his successors. #Fact. Without their diligence in resurrecting the dying state i am sure you lots would have been abusing Yorubas for allowing the state to deteriorate, yet you refuse to give them credit for birthing the modern Lagos of today.

I know the wish of you bad belle people, especially you lots from the SE, is for Lagos to stop developing or for something wrong to happen to her, but sorry to burst your bubble coz your wish will remain in the realm of dreams/fantasy. undecided Abuja has been fct for over 25 yrs yet in spite of the FG's absolute neglect of the Lagos gidi still continues to firge ahead thanks to the dedication of her SW administrators who decided to breathe new life to her after her abandonment by the FG.

Even OBJ failed in his quest to destroy the state when he wickedly witheld her due allocations for years, and equally failed when he also asked all Nigerian banks to forcefully relocate to Abuja the fct (the banks did that and noticed/watched their revenues plummet, and consequently relocated back to Lag not minding the consequences). Abuja doesn't contribute jack to Nigeria's GDP, no industries, neither does it have revenue earning streams that go into the Federal coffers like Lagos does (like airports, borders, seaports) so why should Lagos feel threatened by her? Tinubu initiated Eko Atlantic City without FG input, the Light rail and other infrastructural projects are state govt initiated. Abj on the other hand doesn't even generate igr and depends solely on fg.

Op, it's obvious you are one of the many misguided Yorubas who refuse to acknowledge that this country has never and will never be united. Your likes will eventually get Yorubas into some serious problems that may take generations to correct, with your line of thinking -- the infamous AFONJA miscalculation comes to mind. Unity can't be forced. if Igbos want out, why are you insisting they remain with the rest of the country? They as well as others agitating for a separation are entitled to want out! Nigeria's unity is NOT BY FORCE! Yorubas like myself also want out!!! This marriage has never worked so why keep fooling ourselves? It's criminal to force an unhappy spouse to remain in a marriage he/she's no longer interested in. Why can't Yorubas like you just get that simple concept? Yorubas can stand alone as a nation, we have all it takes, so why this twisted, self-hating, and cowardly 'One Nigeria' obsession for goodness sakes??

Are you minding the joker?? Even police came out openly to admit that they can't match those ijaw militants terrorizing them at ikorodu and Ogun state, the Deputy governor's convoy was brazenly attacked in spite of well-armed military and police escorts and she was even quoted as begging the FG to come to their aid, YET the joker is still singing 'Nigeria Unity'?? Since those incidents took place abeg how many arrests have been made?? Have you heard anything about their hideouts being stormed by the security agencies?? Even the security agencies sef don pick race and some joker is still singing 'One Nigeria' when the FG has clearly demonstrated that they cannot even protect Yorubas in Yorubaland. Now you're confused my friend, you were bashing yoruba like you are igbo in your first comment now your claiming to be a yoruba, if you're indeed the Churchill amongst your peers then you should know Nigeria is infused so well that we can not do without each other. Please stop this nonsense that won't get to anybody, I'm sure your fire will die here on Nairaland.. If you're indeed a Churchill you can start a change in yorubaland today not on nairaland.

This will be my last exchange with you coz you are obviously beyond redemption. I repeat that our destiny as Yorubas will not be left to Afonjas like yourself to determine, else we are doomed as a race. God forbid! Shalom.

Worse affronts you say? Please can you just make reference and quit spewing this hatred you have for yourself as a Nigerian..... Yes, I'm a weakling and I won't support violence in any form. I am a Nigerian.

Dude, if you have to ask then your case is hopeless. undecided But thankfully the destiny and future of Yorubaland won't be left in the hands of weaklings and appeasers of your ilk lest you lead our entire 40-million+ population strong race to a mass slaughter while singing 'One Nigeria'.

The difference between you and I is akin to what existed between Sir Winston Churchill and Chamberlain prior to WW2. Churchill was a visionary who accurately extrapolated Hitler's every move with precision and warned his country to prepare for the coming war (coz he could see that they had become hopelessly weak in their pursuit of a false peace), while Chamberlain buried his head in the sand and almost cost Great Britain her freedom and sovereignty all in the name of appeasing the German tyrant.

I am like Churchill and I can clearly see the gathering storm that is already shaking this country to its foundations, and raising the alarm to wake up my slumbering kinsmen who are under the illusion that our region can be insulated from the insurgencies besetting other regions no thanks to the faulty foundations of the fraud of a country. As it stands, we are the least prepared in the entire country for an inevitable armed conflict and already on the receiving end of a calculated war of attrition on several fronts. Change your mentality and quit living in a fool's paradise. Nigeria unity only exists in your naive mind. All is not and will not be well with Yorubaland for as long as we are deprived of the freedom and exclusive right to chart the course of our own future and destiny as a people. WAKE UP!!

Guy, ye tan arae, quit deceiving yourself!! Worse affronts than Nimbo have already occurred on Yoruba soil with impunity and even more sef dey come as long as weakling Yorubas like you continue to carry 'Nigeria Unity' on your head like a slave rather than mentally prepare for the inevitable disintegration of this unholy alliance of a country. Mynd44 and Seun, I know you two are ardent 'One Nigeria' unity promoters, but please don't fail to put this thread on frontpage that way the rest of Nigeria can also take their turns taking shots at the cowardly Yoruba tribe that have refused to remove their heads from the sand and take firm control of their own destinies as a people. 'One Nigeria' unity Yoruba proponents need more of these sort of embarrassments to jolt and wake them up to the reality that weakness in the guise of sophistication doesn't earn you respect but ridicule in the face of your igbo, Northerner/herdsmen, ijaw miliant/Niger-Delta foes. That is the effect of being an educated tribe. We value the unity of Nigeria and taking arms against any tribe won't solve anything.

And until deluded Yorubas like you realize that the so-called unity of Nigeria is non-existent, the race will continue to be the butt of jokes to the almajiri gigbos, ijaws, and herdsmen invading the region, murdering you with impunity and embarrassing you on your own soil. Yoruba definition of being peaceful = slap me on the left cheek and I will dobale for you not to slap my right cheek. Nonsense!

Just like a silly man knelt down before Fayose. A family man..Jeez

An eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth. Cowards be forming sophisticated and peacefulness to hide their cowardice. I ain't fooled by that rhetoric!

Keep gloating you hear? There's a reason why God made you and some of your kinsmen's heads flat -- it's because he deliberately deprived you lots of a fully functional brain. Consequently you always end up reasoning upside down and talk like a bunch of rettar.ds. undecided

Yorubas have an extremely violent side that is prone to barbarism, but the genes responsible for such proclivity has laid dormant for well over a century, thanks in part to civilization. But make no mistake about it, this proud race of no less than 40-million in population is naturally endowed with the capacity and propensity toward aggression AND the defense of herself against her foes. It is embedded in our DNA. Nobody has a monopoly of violence. 'One Nigeria' has only managed to tame our more assertive side (in exchange for an overrated 'sophistication'), but not extinguished it.

If in doubt, feel free to consult her extensive history in war-making for a refresher course. Anumpama.

Obviously Odumakin's faction of Afenifere is showing more concern and responsibility than both Governors of the affected Ogun and Lagos states. I watched Ambode condemn the attacks on t.v but he needs to do more! The identity and ethnicity of the perpetrators isn't in doubt and political correctness will not solve the problem at this point -- but superior show of force against the brazen perpetrators certainly will.

If Kano state government can officially setup its own localized police (the Hisbah) to intimidate non-Muslims in the state into compliance, I see no reason why Lagos and Ogun can't exploit the same privilege and setup well-armed vigilantes in the affected areas, capable of overpowering the ijaw miscreants terrorizing Yorubas on their own land, since the police and the army are obviously not up to the task.

As far as I am concerned, any Yoruba person still supporting Buhari and carrying 'One Nigeria' on his/her head like gala is living in a fool's paradise coz 'One Nigeria' only thrives to subjugate, exploit, and ret.a.rd the progress of/weaken Yorubaland.

Our leaders were duped into an alliance that is being used to blackmail them into silence in the face of this affront amongst others. How many Yoruba lives must be snuffed out to evoke a strong response and condemnation from our leaders? 100? 400? 1000??

As much as I detest FFK and Fayose's politics, I will never subscribe to the conspiracy to gag/silence these two outspoken Yoruba sons, especially FFK, at a time like this when true Yoruba leaders ought to be vehemently condemning this recent assault, coz obviously the police and the army have proved incompetent and unwilling to protect Yorubaland. 'One Nigeria' is nothing but a scam!
