Science/Technology › Re: How Long Are Mammals Pregnant? by YoshihideSuga: 7:21am On Jan 01 |
maureensylvia: Post term pregnancy does not mean one year.
I gave birth to my 4th child at 42 weeks, which is medically classified as post term.
The placenta is only designed to function for about 40 to 42 weeks. Beyond this, it cannot provide enough oxygen or nutrients to sustain a living baby.
This explains why a human pregnancy cannot last a full year. Did you read that earlier?
Many cases described as “one year pregnancies” are usually due to wrong dating, false pregnancy, fibroids, or misdiagnosis, not an actual living fetus carried for a year.
Personal stories, prayers, or spiritual beliefs do not change human biology.
No medical record anywhere supports a viable human pregnancy lasting a year.
I do not believe hearsay until there is documented proof from a recognized hospital, a one year human pregnancy remains a false claim.
Can you name a recognized hospital, medical journal, or documented obstetric case where a woman safely carried a living baby for 12 months? I actually love the bold as you requested hard evidence to support his claim. Here is a verifiable evidence: https://www.mamamia.com.au/longest-human-pregnancy/And yes, a one year duration pregnancy is a rarity. cc: SlavaUkraini |

guobe: There is this girl I know, I chatted with her just like 3 months ago and asked about her love life. She with him because the relationship wasn't heading anywhere. Just a couple of days now,I am seeing proposal, traditional wedding pics of her flying around. The bottom line is that once most girls are through with university, they just want to get married. Once a guy comes and say mar before he says rriage, they have jumped on him. Some of rice eaten. To avoid being called "evening newspapers" by social media alpha males. However, the "rush" to marry mostly happens in states with fewer corporate jobs. States like Kwara, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Bayesla, Kogi and the rest of the north. If I be woman wey just finish school in such states, me sef go quick marry. |

franchasofficia: Dating someone for years does not guarantee a superb marriage should you guys marry.
Marriage is a gamble.
Many ladies and guys pretend and hide certain bad qualities in them during dating until you marry them, then u can uncover some of those dirty characters and attitude. What matters most is to make sure you are physically attracted to the person, number 1.
Secondly, he/she has fear of God, two.
Thirdly, he/she has empathy and human conscience.
For ladies, she must be respectful and have a forgiven heart cos you must offend her severally self. If she is an unforgiven person, na war, and u can decode all these qualities in few months of dating and knowing if you are serious to know.
Lastly, her family background matters, how is the relationship among the siblings and between the children and the parents.
Money management. If she is a spender who only find joy and happiness when she is spending money, run!
If he is violent and find it easy to raise his hands to beat, run and don't look back.
If he does illegal things and crimes to earn a living, run!
Lastly, follow your inner spirit if you havent destroyed it in the past.
Over should agree and work together to improve their finances if they truly wish to marry How do people destroy their inner spirit? What are the ways? I agree with the rest of your comment. |

dragunov: Is it by force to stay in Lagos? Go back to your villages, towns, states and regions. The governors in the SW will not tolerate people sleeping in the streets. They will be taken back to their states of origin. A word is enough the wise. The majority of Nigerians who move to Lagos are Yorubas from other South western states, including Yorubas from Kwara and Kogi. This belief that the majority are Igbos is a lie. |

Thank goodness, President Tinubu stopped Asari. But young men remark that they aren't safe from police harassment and incessant arrests simply because they drive nice cars or dress as young men. Also, why was the crises "manufactured" yet Imo elites kept mum while their state was under carnage? cc: LagosOrigin |

adicius: North and south Nigeria can no longer live in harmony and it's clear to see. It's time we all have a referendum to split Nigeria into 5 or 6 countries. We would agree to share the oil revenue for the next 15 years as we have been together for 60 plus years. The 15 years will allow the individual countries to build the necessary infrastructure etc, it needs to survive. Also the south south will get the lion share of the oil revenue, but after the 15 years elapse, no more oil sharing . Each country should finally now rely on their national resources and human capital etc. This will foster competition and development and it's the way to go as no one will feel left out or marginalised. God bless . If Nigeria is to breakup regardless of the ensuing agreements, the country will have to experience a major conflict, nothing less than another civil war. Northerners won't want to lose access to the sea and its control. |

hatchy: Go to Abuja and see what these Fulani elites are building. Almost all the sophisticated Plaza in Abuja belong to them. Then you begin to ask, where do they get this kind of money from?
Apart from spreading Islam down South and middle belt by violence, they are also acquiring billions of economic power to take over the country. They make billions in the kidnapping for ransom business. The real owners of the Bandits/Terrorists are in government, all the arms of government. To be fair, apart from the alleged financing from terrorism, northerners control the agro-export commodities markets, enjoyed FX under Buhari, have Islamic banks that issue low interest loans and now, own and dominate mining sites. That said, Abuja is a Fulani city. In a divided Nigeria, Fulanis will takeover Abuja, rightfully so. |

Brendaniel: The problem is not APC, APC is only a product of the problem, you are trying to fight a product which is a combination of 2 ideologies and these ideologies have millions of people who believe in and support them, even if you get rid of APC, the ideologies may continue even with more intensity, Jonathan was not hated and removed because he was in PDP, no, these same ideologies came together to remove him, they saw him as a stumbling block to achieving what is happening now, whatever you see happening now in Nigeria now is not by accident or mistake
it was deliberate efforts of time, energy, ideas and resources put together to achieve what is happening, some people feel fulfilled by what is happening in Nigeria today
Put 2 and 2 together and you begin to see why possibly they so hated the military rule, the military will not allow them achieve what they are doing today in Nigeria under the so called democracy because the military has one ideology which is mostly universal regardless of religion or ethnicity which will oppose these ideologist agenda in this present democracy.
Ask yourself why throughout the long period of military rule why sharia was never implemented by all the leaders both Christians and Muslims till democracy came again after Shagari ? Thank you for your analysis. Regarding the bold, does it mean the country will be islamised in the near future? P.S. This is assuming the country doesn't divide or have constituted regional constituencies. |

franchasng: All of them appealed to Buhari to free him for the sake of peace, Buhari refused to listen, today, where is Buhari? They also appealed to Tinubu, Soludo went to meet Tinubu personally and appealed for Kanu's release, Tinubu said he is not the one holding him but the court. Ohanaeze Ndigbo appealed. Southeast Traditional Rulers Council appealed to Tinubu. Southeast Catholic Bishops appealed to Tinubu. Southeast Clergies appealed to Tinubu. Peter Obi appealed to Tinubu Deputy Speaker of House of Reps Kanu begged Tinubu to please temper justice with mercy and release Kanu. Tinubu paid def ear because his Yoruba brothers have been telling him to give Kanu a death penalty that nothing will happen, that Igbos cannot do anything, that they will only destroy their region at worst Now Tinubu listened to his brothers. To make matters worst, Tinubu gave order for Kanu to be transferred to Sokoto prison where dangerous Muslim terrorists and Jihadists are being held so that Kanu will be harmed or Bandits overrun the prison and abduct Kanu or harm him. And to Yorubas this is a wonderful news, they have finally defeated Omo Igbos.
Time will tell Thank you for this run down. It's noted that our elites tried their possible best. Let's see how it goes for everyone in the next decade or so. |

yummy001: I am not a fan of Peter Obi. In fact, I believe there is nothing he could have done any differently in changing the fortune of a failed country like Nigeria. He could even end up worse than useless Buhari and Tinubu put together.
Yes.. This is a script borrowed from the GEJ era. But Tinubu would be the biggest fool in the world if he feels this self-sabotaging script won't work on him especially when someone like Trump is now interested in the power play.
His political opponents especially from the North know they can't match him in the political arena.. It is a case of using whatever tool you have at your disposal to bring down your stronger opponent even if it means wiping out as many Nigerians as they can.
Trust me, if Tinubu fails to act decisively which I believe is even beyond his means at the moment no thanks to the fact that the military hierarchy has been deeply compromised, the numbers of casualty will get to a point that would make the whole country turn against him.
If he tries any rubbish to clamp down on the mass nationwide protests that would erupt, Trump or the military might have to step in.
This is the long term game plan. You guys can keep living in denial until the bandits and their sponsors up their game to take it to your doorstep. Nice summation. I don't pity Tinubu, after all, he worked with the same people to oust Jonathan. He and his people continue to deride Igbos. Best of luck to him! |

Politics › Re: Why Northern Christians And Middle Belt Should Be Thanking IPOB Everyday by YoshihideSuga: 11:56am On Nov 05, 2025 |
Walai: The Nigerian government and highly connected Fulani covered up the killings and extermination of Northern Christians. They used the influence of their daughter in UN to term the killings "farmer-herder" clash and blamed it on climate change. It took IPOB connection and lobbying to counter the Fulani and get the world attention to the real fact. On a serious note IPOB get superb connection. Imagine a group being able to lobby the America's Presidency and Senate and get their full attention to the Christian genocide in the Middle Belt. Infact, northern Christians and common Nigerians suffering from Fulani herdsmen insecurity should be thanking God everyday for IPOB. if we are to look at this whole thing with a sound, unbiased mindset, IPOB is the best thing to happen to common Nigerians in this case. Northern Christians did the lobbying the most. We should acknowledge that. Right from 2016-2018, Northern Christians lobbied very hard to get Nigeria on the list of CPC, and they succeeded. David Hundeyin was a lead journalist in that research. Why he has suddenly changed tune is surprising and disappointing. A prominent Northern Christian elite - Obadiah Mailafia - died mysteriously after revealing how these Fulani terrorists operate in a series of videos. It's that previous lobbying links that these Northern Christians worked on since it's the same president as of then (Donald Trump). On Facebook, there are pastors and Benue people living in the US who have direct contact with American lawmakers. While IPOB has some connections in this matter, we should allow Northern Christians take the full credits especially as they are the most affected group. This is because when the heat subsidise, others will blame Igbos even though we didn't do much of the work. |
Politics › Re: Why Northern Christians And Middle Belt Should Be Thanking IPOB Everyday by YoshihideSuga: 11:50am On Nov 05, 2025 |
franchasng: You don't know how far IPOB have gone to bring Fulani terrorism to an end, that's why Northern Muslims, especially Fulanis don't want to hear that Nnamdi Kanu should be released, that's why they have been pressuring Tinubu not to release Nnamdi Kanu.
Yes the role of Middlebelt clerics and clergymen can never be overlooked too, they also played a role but give the credit to IPOB and some Igbo influencers working behind the scene.
Igbos and Southeast are the bedrock and symbol of Christianity in Nigeria, so it is not out of place for Igbos to be at the forefront of condemning and drawing global attention to the well planned gen0cide against Christians in Nigeria.
Even on Social Media, Igbos have been the majority people supporting US military and political intervention to end the insecurity and Christian gen0cide in Nigeria without minding the political implication on 2027 Presidential election, as in how it would reduce Northern support for Igbo Presidential candidate if any in 2027.
Igbos don't have time for political correctness or fear of losing out in federal politics like the Yorubas and even Middlebelt people who usually keep quiet out of fear While you are largely correct, I think it's better we allow middle belters be at the forefront of this fight because they are the biggest victims. As it's, Igbos are being blamed for the US interference even when we're not the biggest lobbyists in this issue. Every bad thing that happens in Nigeria, some ethnic groups try to pin it on Igbos. So, it's better we stay on the sidelines cheering Northern Christians, but never overshadow them. But then, it's the sin of being Igbo in Nigeria; damn if you do, damn if you don't. |

Brenbentondiaz: I can't believe the high level of fantasy and hypocrisy of deveropers. When Yoruba elders complained about neglect under Jonathan, igbos showed their colours (the thread is still on Nairaland. If not, they'd have denied it in their natural lying ways). When Buhari became president, igbos descended on Hausas and Fulanis, calling them all sorts of names. The few sensible ones among them that were preaching restraint were termed unity beggars, sabos, etc. But all of a sudden, it's Tulumbu and Yorubas that started big. otry. If being st. vpid is a virtue in igboland, don't project that on others. You lot will start a war you can't win. When it busts right in your faces, you start wailing and crying and blaming others. Story as old as time itself. You can only fooool those who don't know you. If Buhari was competent enough, the accusation against Igbos would have been fair. But Buhari was incompetent and Igbos were proven to be right that he was up to no good. |

ZombieDredd: This is truth and nothing but truth. But they have twisted everything. Just days ago, a silly girl was marketing a brand and insulted igbos in the video, just like that, no provocation nothing.
After public outcry, she went ahead to do a cut and join apology, but the retail business she did advert for has yet to discociate with the bigotry she did....they support her.
Go to twitter and see yorubas supporting her, including people with PHD, swimming in bigotry and tribalism But some evil godforsaken children will come out and blame Igbos for causing trouble. The elites are behind this. So, it's high time Igbos, especially Lagos Igbos, know their left from their right. Once the elites of a country or ethnic group are behind any movement, that's what the majority will support. |

What about Ogbonnaya Onu and Emeka Nwajiuba? What this tells you is that the APC is for certain people and isn't for certain people. The same fate awaits Wike.
If the tale of the coup is accurate, sha, I pity Ijaws. They will, from 2027, understand the true meaning of "One Nigeria". This also means that Sylva has an Argentine passport. Yet another Nigerian elite doing what they do. |

If the natives say they don't want you as a person in their community, drastically limit your activities there. You can do business there, but don't pile real estate investments in such a place. Purchase properties in places that welcome capital regardless of the origin of the investor.
