For almost a week, the media has been on fire belching rages and venoms from the four corners of the country. I have read and over read more than a thousand counter opinions and commentaries on rape accusation levied against COZA Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo by popular singer’s wife Busola Dakolo. As much as I have tried not to talk about this drama, what was written on one of the protesters’ placard ( Your penis is not above the law) has been a virile propellant to air my own view. I had taken enough time to read Busola Dakolo’s rape ordeal. It was very awful and exasperating experience as a teenager and a very big ignominy on the pastor as a man of God. If this allegation can be real and original, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo had committed a dastard sin and had brought an eternal stigma to his ministry. But, this is Nigeria where different bogus and spurious revelations keep on condescending intermittently from its tower all in the name of witch hunting, politicking and rapacious denigration. Blatantly, if we are to place both the Christians and the Muslims men of God in Nigeria on scales, not less than 90% would be on low battery displaying red signal. We can only be assured of the genuine 10% who are truly discharging their divine ministerial appointments. Our men of God claiming sanctity and sanity are the ones rolling in the murky water of immorality forgetting about their mortality. This analogy depicts that, COZA Pastor Fatoyinbo is not a saint and I have never tagged him as one but I have found it difficult and tiring to believe in Busola Dakolo’s rape accusation against him. Why? because the whole revelation is like a cooked story that is being spiced up with media attention. From the analysis, Busola Dakolo proclaimed that the Pastor came to their house as early as 6-7 o’clock and he came directly to knock on her door. This shows that there was a kind of relationship between the two for him to had been on rape mission early in the morning without prior notice of others in the building. And for the second time, the Pastor drove along a lone road, dragged her out of passenger’s seat and raped her beside his car. Why would Busola allow someone who had once raped her and still attempted to rape her in his matrimonial home to help her with a lift again ? And what has happened to her courage all these years? What went wrong with her courage throughout the year 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015…What exactly exhumed and stirred up her courage now to speak out in 2019 ? I don’t want to sound right but I seek to be right, there is a clash of interest between the two parties involved and the media was invited by one party to escalate everything instead of reaching a peaceful consensus. Yoruba adage says: ” Oun ti asee ti ile fijo, gbogbo aiye ni o gbo”meaning ” what we cooked that set the house on fire, the whole world must hear it”. And we have heard it for real. Disgustingly, it is pitiable and disheartening to see restless Nigerians who have never protested to channel the swift implementation of minimum wage carrying placards to demonstrate protest because of this drama. Has anyone protested for the release of Leah Sharibu from Boko Haram captivity? How many protests have been staged so far for our Senators and Honourables to slash their gigantic salaries and allowances? It is a shame to have taken serious issues with levity and haunt for baseless and fatuous issues. Until when there is a flash back or VAR to reshow this rape scene or if Busola Dakolo can bring out a concrete and visible evidence or witness to back up her revelation. I will not stop to count her accusation as mere haunting through the power of the media. If God remains the only witness here, let God be the only judge. Three things cannot be long hidden: the Sun, the Moon and the Truth. Apology to Buddha. #IdidnotstandwithBusola #IdidnotstandwithPastorFatoyinbo #Istandforthetruth Busy Brain Source:https://elegenceng.com/2019/07/article-coza-a-rape-reveletion-between-religion-and-the-media-by-busy-brain/ |
The sun sets slowly, casting a dull glow over the city. The noises from traffic could be clearly heard; car horns blaring, hawkers calling out their wares to attract buyers and pedestrians talking as they walk to their various destinations. The traffic begins to move as the traffic light changed to color green. All these happenings didn’t matter to her as she continues her slow march, not paying attention to her surroundings. Her flowery gown slaps against her body as the wind blows. She mumbles some words as she reaches to stroke her chin, coming out of her trance-like state. Her eyes darts to the right to check the traffic light, as she gets to the road intersection. I’m almost there, she thinks. She can’t help but recall the events that took place this morning. She had been in the kitchen, clearing away the remnants of the breakfast they had earlier. She placed the rinsed plates in the dishwasher and began to wipe down the tiled counter-top with a soft kitchen towel. She smiled as she began to hum a favorite tune of hers. The microwave beeped, she turned and moved towards the right corner of the kitchen. She felt her phone vibrate in her skirt pocket, she paused in her movement to pull it out of her right pocket. She felt her heart skip when she saw the caller’s name displayed on the screen. She inhaled and exhaled before tapping the green icon on the screen to answer the call. “Good morning ma,” she greeted, resting against the counter. She paused as her mother-in-law carried on without answering her greeting. Bosun stared down at her silver wedding ring on her ring finger, she sighed inwardly; it was just too early, “Are you even listening to me?” The woman on the other end asked in disgust. “Yes ma,” Bosun replied, her mother-in-law said a few more words and ended the call abruptly. Bosun pulled the phone away from her ear and gave a sigh, “Lord, I ask for strength” she prayed. *** At exactly 10am, the doorbell rings, Bosun takes a deep breath and smoothed down her hair. Standing up from the black leather sofa, she walks the short distance to the door. She pastes a smile on her face as she turns the door handle and opens the door. A woman in her early sixties stands outside; she’s dark in complexion and of medium height. She is dressed in blue lace Iro and Buba, with its matching head tie carelessly tied on her head. She thrusts her black handbag at Bosun. “Welcome Ma,” Bosun said, kneeling immediately, her Mother-in-law ignores her and walks through the opened door. “Hmmm” the Mother-in-law replies nonchalantly, a dark-skinned lady follows behind and also walks through the door. Bosun stands up, shut the door and follows as the older lady leads the way to the sitting-room. Bosun drops the handbag carefully on the small table beside the sofa where her Mother-in-law is seated. Mrs. Ogunleye stares at Bosun in annoyance as she mumbles an excuse to go get refreshment. Bosun hurriedly leaves the room, walks into the kitchen and closes the door behind her. She rests her head against the closed door and says a few words of prayers. After praying, she pulls herself together and begin to arrange for refreshment for her guests. She gets chilled fresh juice in a glass jug from the refrigerator, clean drinking glasses from the cabinet and places them on a serving tray. Taking a deep breath, she opens the door, picks the tray off the counter and leaves the kitchen. Two pairs of eyes tracks Bosun’s movement as she returns to the sitting-room. She set the tray on the small oval glass table and pours the juice into two drinking glasses. She kneels before her mother-in-law as she hands her the glass of juice.Mrs. Ogunleye gave her a venomous look. To be continued.... The road map to heaven is very far. But as far as the heaven, many short cuts have been trending recently in Nigeria. If one needs to visits his ancestors, it is very cheap with the help of sniper. It kills gently and faster. Sniper is the new evil in land that is killing young, middle aged, beautiful ladies and gentlemen as a result of depression. As a matter of fact, Nigeria is a home of depression or how do one explain the series of gory scenes that is bedevilling the country. What kind of depression is more than when a graduate invested in education and graduated with good grade only to come back home to establish popcorn business. What other form of depression would one tag the Boko Haram bombing, Kaduna killing, Katsina killing, Adamawa killing, Zamfara killing, Plateau killing, ritual killing. Tell me what other category of depression would one classify the kidnapping of poor Nigerians in exchange for huge millions of Naira as ransom. Visiting ones’ relatives in some parts of the country has become a taboo. No one dares toy with his or her dear life as nowhere is save in the country. What other depression is worse than owing workers 38 months salary and seeking for forgiveness in return. I’m still thinking of the numbers of civil servants that would have died of hunger or debt in the course of struggling for survival in Kogi State. What other caliber of depression would one tag a minister who claimed there are surplus medical doctors in the country when in actual sense people are dying due to the poor state and shortage of medical practitioners in our hospitals. At this juncture, one will agree with me that Nigeria is a home of depression for real. If I know and I am sure of my place in heaven, I will join the league of suicide missioners. It is better to enjoy in heaven than to suffer in Nigeria where heartless leaders are being loosed to wickedness. Of course, no one knows his or her place in heaven and that is where I have problem with those committing suicide. Anyone that has interest in committing suicide must have been very sure of his or her place in heaven. It is not ideal to suffer the acclaimed depression here on earth and continue to suffer in heaven for killing oneself. This is actually the reason why am interested to interview Mr. Ibu, a comic actor who claimed to have died for four days and came back to live. Some of the questions I have in mind to ask Mr. Ibu during his death period is whether he had perceived anyone that had committed suicide eating barbecue with tonic wine in heaven. I want to ask Mr. Ibu whether there is a special restaurant or recreational centre categorically reserved for the people who killed themselves because If one is not so certain of the the life after death, what is the point in committing suicide instead of one to be Godly and keep praying for Divine mercy. If killing oneself cannot guarantee one a paradise ticket, what is the essence of committing suicide when there is ample time to move closer to God. Worse still, the level of suicide case in Nigeria is getting hiker and more alarming on daily basis and many of the reasons behind this evil mission is far beyond depression for instance A Computer Science student of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Adewara Damilola Blessing committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance on April 25, 2019. Another Hikmat Gbadamosi, a 100 level Chemical Engineering student of University of Port Harcourt committed suicide by swallowing poisonous sniper on April 29, 2019. Similarly, Lecturer ll in Department of Mathematics, University of Ibadan, Mr. A.O Subair committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in his staff quarter. At the same time, a lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional planning in the Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Mr. Patrick Okojie committed suicide three days to his 47th birthday More so, on the 4th of February 2019, an ex student of the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, Adekunle Bukola Olanrewaju committed suicide under a bamboo tree at his resident in Ile Ife by drinking rat poison. Similarly, a middle aged man identified as Odaga King committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in River State as a result of frustration. More so, a 29 years old boat driver in Bayelsa State committed suicide by hanging himself with a strong fish rope on Easter evening because of frosty relationship with his lover and recently, one Kolapo Olowoporoku committed suicide. How many of Adepele’s multiple and interlocks teeth could be counted? What of the suicide cases that are not reported in the media. The above mentioned suicide cases were mostly triggered by depression. Depression is real but suicide is never the solution. Suicide is against the doctrine of religion as no religion preaches suicide. The present condition can be tough but no condition is permanent in life. Instead of one to resolve to suicide, one can actually take time to discuss the depression with people. Problem shared is half solved. Let us share what is bothering our minds within ourselves and let’s imbibe the idea of listening to our problems. Suicide is evil and no special place for people that had committed suicide in heaven. Say no to suicide. Things might not be going as planned but when there is life, there is hope. The General Overseer of the The Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has stated that the marriage vows which people recite when they are getting are curses. According to the clergy man, making vows by saying “for better for worse” is tantamount to calling on curses on one’s head. Oyedepo also revealed that such marriage vows are unscriptural. Bishop Oyedepo was quoted by a Facebook page as saying: All that “for better for worse, in sickness and in health”, that people recite as marriage vows is unscriptural. It is a curse. That is that… However on another gist on the issue of marriage and the scripture, popular and controversial Nigerian On-Air Personality, Daddy Freeze, has stated that “all vows are satanic, including marriage vows, Christ said so himself, when you see him, argue with him.” He went on to say that, ” you don’t need a priest or a church to get married” because “we are all priests” therefore you can “pronounce YOURSELF married”. He continued, saying, ” IT’S YOUR GOD GIVEN DUTY and it has NOTHING to do with the church.” He wrote: For Christians, the scriptures say two became one. How can you become one with someone who can’t access your phone, email or bank details? HOW? Those pulpit gaslights have lied to you all your life, a great pity it is that you are living a lie and the consequence is your expulsion from God’s city read Rev22:15. Many of you are living separate lives while carrying a legal document to pronounce you a couple, thats a huge joke on no one else but you.? The fact that you got married in a religious shrine in front of a priest does not make you a married couple, as a matter of fact, you don’t need a priest or a church to get married. 1 Peter2:5 says we are all priests, stop outsourcing your priestly role to a yahoo boy by hiring someone else to do your job, pronounce YOURSELF married, IT’S YOUR GOD GIVEN DUTY and it has NOTHING to do with the church. All vows are satanic, including marriage vows, Christ said so himself, when you see him, argue with him. Become one with your spouse today, or get a divorce, it’s as simple as that, stop leading another person into lust because of Godless religious traditions. ~FRZBecome one with your spouse today, or get a divorce, it’s as simple as that, stop leading another person into lust because of Godless religious traditions. I have never at any point in my life lose hope in the reformation of this country from its poor and stunted growth to a better, robust and convenient nation for all and sundry. As a matter of fact, I was among those patriotic Nigerians who so much believe in ‘Nigeria go better mantra’ not until the last moment of my long hours vigil at INEC office. I had the most embarrassing disappointment yesterday having gone to the INEC office as earlier as 2:30pm with an empty tummy. Like other Corps members who have never participated in electoral processes before, I rushed myself to the venue to meet up with the bus that would be taking us to our centre without knowing about the upcoming vigil. We were all deceived to remain calm and wait for the INEC materials and for real, we maintained that calm tempo. Later in the night, we all got stranded hanging around while many were on the floor, sleeping over night under the stench of cold breeze. I cannot but imagine the kind of suffering inflicted on the Corps members just because we wanted to participate in the process of electing another set of corrupt representa-thieves on a token stipend. Sincerely speaking, Nigeria is a typical example of a confused nation that is being managed by the most confused set of leaders with weak, shallow, and disjointed minds. I have said it severally that, this country is still a toddler crawling in the hands of the wicked and prodigal representa-thieves under their immoral guise of outrageous, rapacious revelations. Yesterday was a very tough, stressful and prayer free vigil for all the Corps members across the country. What Nigeria electoral body planned for four years ran under the senseless decision of postponement. This decision had not only jeopardized the already fixed programmes of many Nigerians but had also made the country to be an object of ridicule before the international community. Up till now, some of the senseless Nigerian youths have not realised the level of wickedness of our greedy leaders because of the higher level of their own stupidity. They will still continue to rant on social media to defend their masters’ failure and continue to launch attack on their perceived enemies. At this juncture, a minute silent for the sixty six life that journey traveled to eternal slumber in Kaduna State for pre-election violence. How I wish these people know that they have died for those that care less about their existence. How I wish they know the facts that these looters are not worth dying for. To my fellow Corps members, I want to believe that yesterday’s vigil was one of those horrific experience in the journey of life. Our skin layers that were exposed to cold and mosquitoes shall sing and spell out some malignant nemesis. Let us bear it in mind that every disappointment is a blessing. One day, we shall tell these stories with joy that we once had a vigil during 2019 general election and before then, I pray for the abundant blessing to fall on us like rain beyond our imaginations. Lest I forgot, let me use this medium to welcome the international observers to the best country in the world where four years planning resulted to failure at last minute. Although, I still hope for a better Nigeria God bless Nigeria! God bless the Youths Corps Members! The noise is everywhere. Ladies now walk around with fear, but not her. Anytime they arrive with another latest news, she is usually quiet, as though she is not affected by the whole noise. Sometimes she tries to talk to some of her friends around her, but the noise they make give her no chance of communicating her own perspective about the matter. Everyone in her house have been discussing the subject over and over again, and they are even thinking of how to get a machine that would be able to dry their undies without them spreading the stuffs anywhere another eyes could see. She spreads her undies at the usual place without any fear, and walks around the street without ever getting worried about how to escape from the “pants snatchers”. She is too nonchalant when it comes to responding to trends. She is of the opinion that, being worried about the stuff is adding no value to her, and so, she pushes aside the fearful thoughts; walking so majestically like the daughter of The Owner of the land. But then, where has she got her confidence from? Why would she not be afraid like others are. At some points, the news began to spread wider. Guys were allegedly reported to be breaking in to hostel rooms of students that were home for the compulsory holidays in search for the logo of a car brand. Yet, as soon as the news get to her, she would respond as though she was not a lady, and just wave it off her mind; changing the subject of discussion. Meanwhile, she is the voice that sings in the early hours of the morning, when others are sound asleep. She is the one that others wake up to see studying “The Living Book” and laughing ecstatically in the Holy Ghost. She shakes the foundation of her house whenever she prays, that other ladies envy her for being committed to God. The truth is, most of these ladies that are protecting their undies are into relationships with the guys that need their underpants. She had been convinced over and over again to say YES to suitors who will spoil her with money, yet, she had refused to be spoiled. Many at times had she been referred to as proud, just because of her straight NO, whenever guys come to her to know if she would love to travel on the journey of love with them. To the lover of trends, she is not very friendly at all, hence, those who want to be sincere with themselves can boldly testify of her kindness, friendliness, and display of virtues. The only accusation they usually hold against her, is that she had decided to remain on the boring side of life; where there are restrictions to what a person can do with her life. The kind of males that you see her relate with, are those other type of guys that have refused to respond to winks and openings; those ones that cannot touch her and spoil her with cash. And just like they had always told her, the day finally came. She was returning from one of her friend’s birthday party, with lots of cakes wrapped in her bag for those she promised back home. Of course, they didn’t need to follow her to the party; for they had concluded that such a party would be too dry, and to them, “life would be missing”. Walking home tired on her lonely street, two guys appeared before her from different directions. She startled, and got a bit confused. Before she could think of the question to ask, one of them had already pulled out a gun, and was now pointing it towards her. “What do you want from me?” She asked without too much of confidence. The other young man brought out a parcel, and opened it to show her. “Take off your pants now, and have this money; lest we shoot this gun and waste you.” At that time, she found herself in the reality of all the gist that she ignored and never paid attention to. “Come on, remove the stuff and let us leave as soon as we can; you are wasting our precious time!” Still standing like a statue, she tried to silence her fears and began to mumble words that even her chin could not hear her speak. “Haha! Do you want us to waste you? We will just waste you, and still use your pants. Don’t let us waste you, just give us the stuff in peace, take the money, and both parties just depart in peace”. And that was how she gave a response that shocked the whole world. “You can’t waste me, for I am already a waste. Tell me, how can you kill with a gun, a lady that was nailed on the cross? My pants are useless; I have already been used.” Like morons, the two guys looked at themselves, and the one pointing the gun dropped his hand dead. “How can you be already used and you are still standing to tell us?” Now with much more confidence, she moved closer as they moved backwards. “You see, I am a Living Sacrifice, Holy and Acceptable unto God. I have given my life to Jesus Christ as My Lord and Saviour, and I have offered my body unto Him as a Living Sacrifice”. The two guys could not believe their ears. They have never heard that before from any lady. No lady had ever resisted them with such level of audacity. They looked at her again, and could no longer stay. One of them gave her a parting shot; “I wish I had known this as a church boy. I wish my younger sister could respond this way last month; she would just had escaped death. We have approached many ladies, uncountable, with their Bible in their hand, they gave us what we requested for without wasting our time. You spoke to us today as though the whole Bible dwells inside you. Indeed we can’t use you, for it is obvious that you had already been used”. *** Wait. What do you think about the account given above? I’m sure you wanna ask me where it happened and the lady that made it happen. Well, to the best of my knowledge, it will happen when we stop spreading the fear, and start instilling the Faith. Enough of this fearful circulation of what is in vogue! I heard that it had even become a prayer point in some settings; “Oh Lord, keep the pants of all our ladies safe!” What?! Enough! Let’s teach our ladies Faith and not fear. Let’s teach them good character, that they will stop falling into the hands of those that want to use them. Let’s teach them contentment, so that they will not be carried away by money and possessions of men. Let’s encourage them to carry the fire of God, and make them understand the authority of A Believer! For how long shall we continue to pray based on situations and not by the inspiration got from revelation? Wise up believers! Let’s exercise the authority that we have in Christ, and stop panicking about this noise that will soon fade away. Let’s hold unto that which abides forever. Your response to this post will go a very long way to reveal the category that you belong; whether you are a fear spreader or a Faith booster. A Living Sacrifice cannot be used for any other sacrifice. Written By Abiodun Emmanuel Oyedele (c) January, 2019. Source :https://elegenceng.com/2019/02/my-pants-are-useless-ive-already-been-used/ |

Source :https://elegenceng.com/2019/02/my-pants-are-useless-ive-already-been-used/ |
A meeting of National Chairmen of political parties in Nigeria under the platform Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) held in Abuja on Friday. Over 70 party leaders who met at the INEC Electoral Institute threatened to boycott the 2019 election if President Muhammadu Buhari failed to sign the Electoral Act into law. Imo Ugochinyere, IPAC National Publicity Secretary, in a statement noted that IPAC reviewed issues concerning the 2019 general elections as well as the IPAC leadership. The gathering resolved that: “In view of the fact that Nigerians want free, fair and credible elections in 2019 which the new Electoral Bill before the President Buhari promises, we as major stakeholders in the electoral process call on President to sign the Bill into law. “Should he refuse, then we will NOT be part of the electoral process in 2019 that doesn’t promise credibility and fairness. “The delay/refusal to sign the bill will throw the country into the worst bloody electoral conquest and put INEC in a tight situation that will make free and credible election impossible in 2019.” However, IPAC appreciated the efforts of the INEC Chairman towards having a credible poll and resolved to work closely with Yakubu Mahmood-led INEC towards ensuring free and fair polls in 2019. IPAC also expressed concerns over the tensed political atmosphere in the country and the issues concerning how to secure Police neutrality come 2019 and resolved to seek audience with the IG of Police. The statement added: “A vote of confidence was passed on the Chairman of IPAC, Peter Ameh and the executive. “A total of 7 Committees were set up including ADR, Strategy, women, youth & people with disabilities, Government liaison, media including Appointment of Director General, Operation chief and Chief of Staff.” Source: https://elegenceng.com/2018/12/breaking-political-parties-threaten-to-snub-2019-election-see-why/ |
Africa is very blessed with a beautiful tradition and culture. It is no wonder that several foreigners come to the country to be a part of such lovely displays. Nigerians are awed by the story of Austrian born woman, Susan Wenger, now popularly known as Adunni Olorisa, who came to the country and made it her home. It all started when Susan and her first husband, Ulli Beier, came to Nigeria. Beier was a German researcher and a linguist while Susan was an artist. Susan worked as an artist in Nigeria while her husband was a lecturer at the University of Ibadan. They lived together in Ede, Osun state. While in Ede, Wenger became interested in Yoruba rituals despite not being able to speak the language. She reportedly got close to Ajagemo, one of the last priests of Obatala worship. However, Susan and her husband later moved to Osogbo and they divorced soon after. Beier moved back to Europe while his ex-wife stayed behind to learn the art of being a priestess. The huge turning point in Susan’s life came when she fell seriously ill with tuberculosis. The sickness was slowly killing her till medicine men came to her aid and gave her herbal mixtures which healed her. After she fully recovered, she dedicated her life to the orisa that saved her from death. Being an artist with knowledge of Yoruba tradition, she used her art works to express herself. Susan eventually gave love another chance. She got married to a local drummer, Chief Ayansola Oniru Alarape, but they later separated because he maltreated her. The artist later adopted 12 Yoruba kids whom she cared for. Susan Wenger was responsible for preserving the sacred Osun forest. She made sure to also decorate the grove with several of her art works and works of other artists. Because of her efforts, the Osun grove was declared a national monument and in 2005, it became recognised as a world heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). On January 12, 2009, Susan passed on at the age of 93. Source:https://elegenceng.com/2018/12/interesting-story-of-adunni-olorisa-the-white-osun-priestess/ |
Nigerian columnist, Rick Martin has written on the biting political issues across the country as we head into an election season. There is saying that two heads are better than one. Actually it’s false when you compare what we have in Nigeria to other countries leadership structures. What we have in Nigeria is one good head in Osinbajo and another bad head in Buhari as a result, the two heads are better than one does not apply here. This is premise on the successive success he has achieved during his occasional stincts as the Acting President. Looking at the Offa Robbery and seemingly incompetence and politicization that has dodged the occurrence courtesy of a massive incompetent man called Ibrahim Idris. It would have been another kettle of fish if Osinbajo is Nigeria’s President. He would have wielded the big stick on Idris for his poor handling and politicization of this incidence. Several months after the killings, no one has been arraigned for this rather the prime suspect died under the watchful eyes of Idris which is a setback to enforcement of justice in this democratic era. Why is it that the IGP has continued to act as a cog in the wheel of our nascent democracy. First in Anambra, later In Benue, now in Akwa Ibom. In Akwa Ibom, Idris believes 5 members of the state house of assembly is greater than 21 and the state has been thrown into anarchy. Why the unending politicization of the NPF by this man that naturally should have proceeded on leave as he is due for retirement in few months time. Let’s forget his kangaroo assumption to the exalted office of the Inspector General of Police, let’s forget his ignoble role in the spurious 2m votes Buhari garnered in Kano in 2015, let’s forget his poor handling of the eventual murder and arson of the Kano state REC and let’s forget his transmission, transmission.. Lol Can we ask ourselves why Ibrahim Idris is still the IGP despite his incompetence and politicization of the Nigerian Police? Can we start with the poor welfare of officers of the NPF under Idris that made them protest recently in Imo?? Why is it that their welfare is not taken care of? Why is it that the IGP is personally pocketing over 1 Billion Naira annually from fees of police officers on special duty of which he has Ben running away from NASS probe? Why did Ibrahim Idris order the arrest of DEJI Adeyanju for protesting against the politicization of the NPF. Why is President Buhari overlooking all his inadequacies. Daura did not do half of this before Osinbajo fired him. Is Buhari too weak to deal with Ibrahim Idris? Osinbajo has shown several times he is the better part of this pair and Uta disgusting to say the least that we have an incompetent man as the President. This is a red flag to National Security and the 2019 elections. President Buhari must not allow an incompetent man like Idris around him, if he is doing that then it speaks volumes about his leadership abilities and should learn from Osinbajo. A 26-year-old man identified as Hakeem aka H Funds has confessed on the modus operandi on how he made money through yahoo-plus. Narrating the story to NewsTelegraph, Hakeem revealed that he used juju on his victims which makes it easier for him to control them. “AFTER SPENDING LAVISHLY, WE SOMETIMES GO BANKRUPT. SO, WE HAVE NO CHOICE THAN TO USE METAPHYSICAL POWERS TO HYPNOTISE OUR VICTIMS ONLINE. THE ACT OF USING VOODOO IS WHAT PEOPLE NICKNAMED ‘YAHOO PLUS.’ “I USE IT SO THAT THE VICTIM, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS A ‘CLIENT’ WILL FALL DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH ME AND OBEY MY EVERY COMMAND. AT LEAST, I HAVE BEEN INTO DATING SCAM FOR A WHILE NOW AND I CAN BOAST OF TWO CARS AND A HOUSE.” HAKEEM CONFESSED. ACCORDING TO NEWTELEGRAPH, HAKEEM REVEALED THAT HE DROPPED OUT OF UNIVERSITY WHEN HE WAS IN 100 LEVEL. AFTER DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL, HE EMBRACED CYBER FRAUD. INTERESTINGLY, HE HAS BEEN ABLE TO BUY CARS AND BUILD HOUSE THROUGH THE SCAM. HAKEEM IS TOEING THE PATH OF MANY NIGERIAN YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE EMBRACING CYBERCRIME. MANY OF THEM HAVE LEFT THE TRADITIONAL METHOD OF ATTEMPTING TO SWEET TALK VICTIMS INTO PARTING WITH MONEY. TODAY, THEY NOW USE VOODOO, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS ‘YAHOO PLUS OR SCIENCE’ TO COLLECT MONEY FROM UNSUSPECTING VICTIMS. REVEALING MORE DETAILS, SOME OTHER INTERNET FRAUDSTERS REVEALED THE COST OF A PARTICULAR VOODOO DEPENDS ON HOW CHALLENGING A CERTAIN INTERNET FRAUD MIGHT PROVE TO BE. THEY ALSO CONFESSED THAT ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT YAHOO PLUS MAKES THEM RICHER, IT ALSO IS A STRESS-FREE WAY OF MAKING MONEY. THEY REVEALED THAT NATIVE DOCTORS, ISLAMIC AND CHRISTIAN CLERICS USUALLY PREPARE THE CHARMS FOR THEM. HAKEEM INSISTED THAT YAHOO PLUS WAS THE BEST GIMMICK TO APPLY IN ONLINE DATING SCAM. HE ADDED: “I USE VOODOO FOR DATING SCAM. I USE IT TO SPELLBIND MY ONLINE VICTIM AND MAKE HIM OR HER EASIER TO CONTROL. THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF VOODOOS; ONE IS TO USE THE IMAGE OF THE WHITE CLIENT, ANOTHER ONE IS TO MAKE INCISIONS ON OUR HANDS, PLACE OUR LEGS ON A TORTOISE OR TAKE THE CLIENT’S NAME TO A CLERIC OR NATIVE DOCTOR. SOMETIMES, WE TAKE OUR PHONES AND COMPUTER TO THE SHRINE. THE TYPE OF YAHOO PLUS I DO IS TO TAKE CLIENT’S NAME TO THE SHRINE.” ANOTHER OPERATOR, LANRE, 25, SAID THAT HE AND HIS YOUNGER BROTHER WOULDN’T HAVE SUCCEEDED IN INTERNET FRAUD, IF NOT FOR THE HELP OF HIS MOTHER. HE DISCLOSED THAT IT WAS THEIR MOTHER WHO INTRODUCED THEM TO THE NEW LEVEL OF CYBER FRAUD. LANRE SAID HIS MOTHER DIDN’T BELIEVE IN THEM AT FIRST UNTIL HE CARRIED OUT A SCAM AND BOUGHT A CAR FROM THE PROCEEDS. THE CAR GOT HIS MOTHER SO TICKLED THAT SHE DECIDED TO TAKE THEM TO A HERBALIST FOR CHARMS. HE SAID: “ALTHOUGH MY FATHER IS LATE, WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN THIS CYBER FRAUD BUSINESS BECAUSE MY MOTHER SUPPORTS MY BROTHER AND I. MY MOTHER TOOK MY YOUNGER BROTHER AND I TO A WOMAN’S PLACE. THE WOMAN TOOK US TO A RIVER AND BATHED US. ASIDES THAT, I DO OTHER SORTS OF RITUALS LIKE ‘OSHOLE.’ ONCE YOU HAVE DONE OSHOLE, YOU WILL SUCCEED IN EVERY KIND OF INTERNET SCAMS. I MUST CONFESS THAT I HAVE ACHIEVED A LOT BY GOD’S GRACE. I HAVEN’T SEEN ANY REPERCUSSION BECAUSE I DO GO BACK TO THE HERBALIST’S PLACE TO RENEW MY VOODOO.” ANOTHER INTERNET FRAUDSTER, WHO GAVE HIS NAME SIMPLY AS T MONEY, SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN USING BLACK MAGIC FOR HIS CYBERCRIME FOR LONG. T MONEY, A 200 LEVEL DROPOUT, DISCLOSED THAT AFTER HE ABANDONED HIS UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME, HE HAD TRIED HIS HANDS ON SEVERAL MENIAL JOBS, BUT FAILED TO SUCCEED IN ANY. HE FINALLY WENT INTO CYBER FRAUD. THE 27-YEAR-OLD T MONEY EXPLAINED WHY HE ABANDONED THE TRADITIONAL YAHOO YAHOO TO DELVE INTO THE OCCULT WORLD OF YAHOO PLUS. HE SAID: “WHEN I STARTED THE INTERNET FRAUD, I COULDN’T EARN MUCH. I ONLY EARNED ENOUGH TO BUY CLOTHES, SOME PAIR OF SHOES AND AN IPHONE.” ACCORDING TO HIM, WHILE HIS FRIENDS WERE HITTING BIG MONEY AND LIVING LAVISH LIFESTYLES, HE WAS COUNTING PENNIES. HE SAID: “I BECAME INTRIGUED ON HOW MY FRIENDS WERE MAKING GOOD MONEY. I ASKED QUESTIONS AND GOT ANSWERS. IT WAS THE ANSWERS THAT LED ME INTO YAHOO PLUS. IT IS WHAT MOST OF MY FRIENDS DO. I WENT TO MEET AN ISLAMIC CLERIC. “I WAS INTO DATING SCAM WHEN I FIRST STARTED. THE DATING SCAM WAS NOT REALLY FETCHING HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. I BEGAN USING YAHOO PLUS BECAUSE MY FRIENDS WERE MAKING IT BIG AND BUYING CARS. ONCE THEY MAKE BIG MONEY, THEY WILL GO AND LODGE IN HOTELS. I DESPERATELY WANTED TO BELONG. I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE RICH. I HAD NO CHOICE THAN TO MEET THE CLERIC WHOM I PAID MONEY FOR THE RITUAL. LOOK AT ME TODAY, I’M DOING FINE.” A CYBER FRAUDSTER, WHO INTRODUCED HIMSELF AS SIR CASH, 28, SAID THERE WERE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF YAHOO PLUS – ‘OSHOLE’ AND ‘IRAPADA.’ ACCORDING TO HIM, THE TWO ARE USED TO ENHANCE INTERNET SCAM OPERATIONS. HE ADDED: “THERE IS ANOTHER YAHOO PLUS. IT IS VERY BAD AND DANGEROUS. IT ENTAILS USING THE ‘GLORY’ OF INNOCENT GIRLS. YOU RUB SOMETHING LIKE OIL INTO THE PRIVATE PART OF A GIRL BEFORE HAVING S*XUAL INTERCOURSE WITH HER. SHE EITHER BECOMES SICK OR WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO MUCH IN LIFE. WE ALSO USE PROSTITUTES. MOST OF THESE RITUALS HAVE REPERCUSSIONS. ONE MUST BE VERY CAREFUL. “MOST OF US DO A VOODOO CALLED ‘OSHOLE.’ OSHOLE HAS LITTLE OR NO REPERCUSSION AND MOST OF US USE IT. THE WAY OSHOLE WORKS IS THAT IT COMPELS THE VICTIM TO PAY MONEY.” ACCORDING TO SIR CASH, THERE ARE VARIOUS REPERCUSSIONS TO THE USE OF VOODOOS ON GIRLS. ONE OF THE REPERCUSSIONS IS INSANITY. HE SAID: “THERE ARE SOME OF OUR GUYS, WHO AFTER USING THE VOODOO GET RICHER, BUT ALSO FORGET TO RETURN TO THE SHRINES OR CLERICS TO RENEW THEIR VOODOO. THAT’S WHEN PROBLEMS START.” Source:https://elegenceng.com/2018/11/shocking-confession-of-a-yahoo-boy-and-how-uses-ladies-for-rituals/ |
A 49-year-old night guard with Ekiti State Scholarship Board, Abolarin Olaoye, hanged himself inside the State Secretariat in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. He told me he could go ahead and do some nasty things. He added that he was tired of life. “I did not realize he meant something like this. I tried to persuade him not to resort to anything nasty. Ronaldo created the assist as Juventus beat visiting Valencia 1-0 at Allianz Stadium Mario Mandzukic scored the only goal of the encounter as they seal their passage to the next round of the competition The Portuguese star became the first player to reach 100 Champions League wins, beating arch rival Messi to the record Juventus summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo will not stop creating records despite recently joining the Italian League side. The 33-year-old ended his nine year reign with Real Madrid after helping them win their third consecutive Champions League title last season. His contributions led to their 13th Europe’s top prize – making them the most successful team on the continent. However, one would have thought Ronaldo joining a new team few months back would have slowed him down. But he keeps getting stronger even at his age and his contribution in his side’s 1-0 win over Valencia at the Allianz Stadium earned another record in the UEFA competition. He became the first player to reach 100 wins in the Champions League, beating old rival Lionel Messi to the landmark according to Fox Sports. The Portuguese star created the assist as Mario Mandzukic scored the only goal that gave the Italian champions the victory and sealed their passage to the next stage of the tourney. Massimiliano Allegri’s men also sealed their place in the last 16 phase for the fifth year in a row, setting a club record. And it was a match to remember for Ronaldo as the Portugal superstar racked up his 100th victory in a competition he has won five times in his career. Ronaldo will be aiming for his sixth Champions League title having won the same title with Real Madrid and Manchester United in the past. I stare at my boss in confusion and sympathy, I have no idea how the accident is related to me or her. “There are no survivors,” She begins, “It was an head-on collision, apparently the trailer lost control and the driver of the private car was immersed in his iPad, he didn’t see the trailer on his path until it was too late.” She finishes. I could clearly picture the horrific scene, spilled with blood. I close my eyes in shock as nausea threateningly rises. My unborn baby doesn’t agree with the vivid picture. I part my lips to take in steady breaths, after a few breaths the nausea subsides. I wonder why she is telling me about the accident. “Deola,” She calls out. I stare at her response, noting the sympathy in her eyes. I wonder why she feels sympathetic towards me. “How are you feeling?” She ask. I blink in surprise. “I know you are pregnant,” She answers my unasked question. I smile and lower my eyes in appreciation. The thought of my unborn baby fills me with unexpected joy. “I don’t know how else to break this news to you,” She begins as apprehension crawls over me. I wait for her to finish, my heart beats fast. “Your husband was involved in the accident,” my eyes widens uncontrollably. “He didn’t make it.” I feel the heavy weight of darkness descend upon me and drag me down as I succumb to the tug of helplessness. “I am so sorry,” I hear the voice say as blackness swallows me and the floor welcomes me. Months Later, I walk along the beach, taking a breath of freshness. The past few months have been hectic and frighteningly unbearable. I lost the baby a few weeks after Lanre’s burial. It was a double blow… losing my husband and baby within a few weeks. I went easily from being a married woman to a widow. His parents whirled me away for a much needed vacation after the truth came tumbling into light. Tears slips down my face as I think about how my life would have turned if Lanre had lived. Would we still be together or divorced? Would our baby have brought the healing we both needed? Regrets burn as I thought about the words I never said to him… the silent words that revolved around my head. Maybe, it’s for good. I continue my leisure stroll along the deserted beach as the sun sets slowly. THE End!. Three-time former champions, the Super Eagles, who had failed to qualify for the last two editions, were ahead in South Africa within nine minutes when Buhle Mkhwanazi scored an own goal. Percy Tau set up the equaliser for Lebo Mothiba on 26 minutes, but the hosts were fortunate as several contentious offside decisions went against Nigeria. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the benchmark and players to learn from, according to Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar. The 26-year-old played alongside Messi at Barcelona, and regularly squared off with Juventus and Portugal sensation Cristiano Ronaldo during his spell in La Liga with Real Madrid. Neymar has carved out a career of his own as one of the elite players in world football, and has netted 39 goals in just 43 games with PSG, as well as scoring 105 times in 186 games for Barca. Nevertheless, he remains in awe of the talents of the duo, who have established a stranglehold on the Ballon d’Or over the last decade. “Facing Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – and I played with Messi, who is, for me, one of the greatest footballers of all time, and he is my idol in football,” he told the Players’ Tribune . “With Messi, I learned every day, whether during our practice, or playing with him, or just watching him play. And that made me stronger and it increased my capacity on the field because I kept learning a lot from him. “As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he is a monster. Facing him is a pleasure and an honor, but we have to be more prepared. He is one of the greatest in football so you get smarter, you get alert, but at the same time you learn a lot, too. “So, they are two of the big guys that I can relate to, because I want to learn, I want more, I want to win, I want more trophies, score more goals … so I keep learning from them every day.” Ronaldo has enjoyed a superb start to life in Serie A, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 10 appearances for the Bianconeri thus far this term. Messi, meanwhile, is currently injured, and missed the recent 5-1 Clasico thumping of Real Madrid. Amazingly, he has exactly the same numbers as Ronaldo, netting seven goals and laying on five assists. Her father is from Akure, while her father’s marriage to his wife has lasted over 30 years. Their marriage is also blessed with 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, while Oloori Naomi is the 3rd child. Prophetess Naomi is known for a very famous crusade and praise programme entitled: Hosanna Night every December to mark the anniversary of the church. Many Akure Christians look forward to the programmes not just because of how she ministers, but because it is always star-studded with A-list Nigerian Gospel artistes performing. Last October, Prophetess Naomi brought Tungba Gospel Musician, Yinka Aiyefele, Yetunde Are, Kenny Kore, and Biyi Samuel to perform at the crusade tag: “Hark the Herald Angels” at The Dome, Akure, Ondo State. She is a graduate of Akungba Akoko University. The very eloquent and highly respectful Young Oloori doesn’t keep friends. Her crowd is small and her mum is her best friend. She is always in the company of her Mother, whom she addresses as “Wooli Agba” or Wura Mi”. They are always sighted at Malls together in Akure. Our source said the Prophetess hardly went out alone and she loves wearing flowing gown too. Do you know how kabiyesi met his Oloori? City People’s investigation reveals that Kabiyesi met his beautiful Oloori through her mother many years ago. It was further revealed that it was an extended relationship with all siblings of Oloori Naomi Ogunwusi. Even the Prophetess was at the palace in Ile-Ife 3 months ago to pray for Kabiyesi and that was when Kabiyesi fell in love with her calmness and cool disposition. It was further explained that Kabiyesi didn’t only fall in love at first sight; he was impressed and induced when he knew that Prophetess Naomi was a virgin at the time. This was why kabiyesi asked her out and promised her marriage without further ado. City People’s investigation reveals that it took Oloori and Kabiyesi 3-and-half month to pick a date for the marriage and preparations kicked off immediately. The first thing Oonirisa did was to keep the date away from many as preparations went on among top family members. All the engagement stuffs were also sourced by Kabiyesi’s siblings who were also warned not to discuss it with outsiders. As early as noon on that Thursday all was set for the royal journey to the residence of the Oluyemi in Akure. Of course, Kabiyesi didn’t go with them as tradition doesn’t permit him. He has to be at home awaiting his bride. He can also not prostrate for anyone and tradition demands he prostrates for his in-laws. Who were those on the Royal Journey to Akure you may ask? They include Kabiyesi’s father, Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi and his wife, Mrs Margret Ogunwusi, Sooko Ekun, Prince Bimbo, who is Kabiyesi’s elder brother. His elder brother, Prince Tunji Ogunwusi, and his wife Ibilola Ogunwusi, who flew in from London. Also on the entourage were: Prince Jide Fadairo and his wife, Princess Folasade Ogunwusi, Princess Adesola, Princess Folusho and her husband Kolawole, and Princess Adebimpe and her husband, Prince Mobolaji Jimoh. The Princesses were all clad in luxury white lace matched with Royal blue headgear. Their traditional Iyun beads were from Tjcollections, while the Ogunwusi Princes and their brothers-in-law spotted white flowing Agbada. Also in attendance was Obalufe, the Emeses, Osoro, and Ooni of Ife inner caucus Chiefs who all together were 40 in number. All drove to Akure in style in 15 vehicles, which were mainly Benz series. They were led by escort as their hosts welcomed them at 5.31pm. The Oluwaseyis, who were fully set awaiting their new in-laws quickly commenced the event at a few minutes to 6pm with opening prayer by the bride’s family. Princess Adebimpe Ogunwusi Jimoh, who is the immediate younger sister of Oonirisa, introduced the Ogunwusi’s family to the Oluwaseyis, while the bride’s family also introduced their family members. The angelic bride walking tall like a Queen that she is came in looking regal in an embellished fully-stoned aso-oke with a light make-up from Akure make-up Pro. Oluyemi Oluposi of dashingbride makeover while her royal Iyun hung beautifully on her neck as she welcomed her new family. The Ogunwusis couldn’t take their eyes off their beautiful bride as the bride’s family admired the Luxury Lois-Volton set of luggage which was filled with luxury attired for the new Queen. Because the new Queen doesn’t wear earrings, Kabiyesi also sourced for best collection of wristwatches for her. The big yam tubers were 89 pieces, Palm oil, rice, atare, honey, and others items were also put on display as Yoruba culture and tradition dictates The Oluwaseyis didn’t keep them waiting for long as Prophetess Naomi was handed over to Oonirisa’s elder brother, the Sooko Ekun of Ile-Ife, Prince Bimbo Ogunwusi, who then handed her over to the Ogunwusi sisters. Few minutes past 10pm, the Ooni entourage drove into Ile-Ife, where Oloori Ogunwusi was received at the entrance by Oonirisa’s Chiefs. Prayers were led by one of the Oonirisa’s Chiefs called ‘Loowa’ (Next to kabiyesi among Chiefs) while Obalufe also prayed for the new bride before she was presented to Ekerin Iyalode, who is a top member of Oonirisa Ruling house “Geesi ruling house. That was after a white Ram was killed, while the Oloori did the needful according to tradition of Ife. The Ekerin Iyalode poured water on her legss as the calabash was broken. Then the breaking of kolanut followed. She was later ushered into the palace where Oonirisa had already “Gunwa” on his throne. Kabiyesi, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi received her with open arms and prayed for her. He exchanged wedding bands with her and told her to sit at the right side. The emeses who are the closest chiefs to Kabiyesi then welcomed her officially with all the Oloori of the source praises, while she was then told to move to the left side of Kabiyesi, which makes her the new Oonirisa Oloori. A concerned Nigerian and aide to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti state, Lere Olayinka, has written to the Nigerian army, requesting a speedy release of the academic credentials of President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr. Olayinka, in the letter addressed to the Chief of Defence Staff, said President Buhari risks his re-election bid if his academic credentials remains not found. Recall that President Buhari has, in an affidavit sworn to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, explained why he failed to submit his academic credentials as a precondition to being eligible to contest the 2019 election. According to Buhari, “I am the above named person and the deponent of this affidavit herein. All my academic qualification documents as filled in my Presidential form, APC/001/2015 are currently with the Secretary of the Military Board as of the time of this affidavit.” President Buhari had, during the 2015 election which he eventually won, presented INEC with the same excuse, saying the military is in possession of his academic credentials. But, the army, through the then director of army public relations, Olajide Laleye, had denied that the military was in possession of Buhari’s academic credentials. In a release then, the army had said, “Records available indicate that Major General M Buhari applied to join the military as a Form Six student of the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina on 18 Oct 61. “His application was duly endorsed by the Principal of the school, who also wrote a report on him and recommended him to be suitable for military commission. “It is a practice in the NA that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the Service, the Selection Board verifies the original copies of credentials that are presented. However, there is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s.” Meanwhile, in the letter to the CDS, Mr. Olayinka asked the military not to take the stress of providing all the credentials but to, at least, provide President Buhari’s Primary Six and Secondary School Certificates as the two will suffice. The letter reads thus: “Dear Chief of Defence Staff, RE: Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s Credentials I write as a concerned citizen of Nigeria to request that you use your good offices to effect the immediate release of academic credentials of Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to INEC. Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the presidential candidate of the APC in the 2019 general election and he is in urgent need of the credentials to support his nomination as provided by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). I wish to remind you that in 2015, the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) could not present his credentials because the then PDP government of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan allegedly prevented the Military from releasing the credentials. The CDS sir, you should be reminded that the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, and he could have just used his powers to compel the military authority to use a Fighter Jet to fly the credentials to INEC. Kindly treat this request as urgent because the said Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) on whose behalf I make this request risks disqualification by INEC if he fails to submit the credentials as demanded by the law. You may not need to provide all the credentials however, just release the Primary Six and Secondary School Certificates. Thank you in anticipation of your prompt and favourable consideration of this request. Yours truly, Lere Olayinka 1, Irunmale Avenue, Agbonna Hilltop, Okemesi Ekiti Ekiti State.” Source:https://elegenceng.com/2018/10/read-a-concerned-nigerian-writes-army-requests-speedy-release-of-buharis-certificates/

A baffling report has left many wondering after a Ugandan woman who has given birth to 38 children revealed how she achieved the feat. In what could easily pass off as another work of fiction, a Ugandan woman who is just 37-years has placed herself in the record books after giving birth to 38 children. She is said to have started giving birth at the age of 13. Here is the full report according to Ugandian media site, Daily Monitor: Lost along the way, a boda boda rider offers to lead me to her home since they know her by her unique name. Nalongo Muzaala Bana (the twin mother that produces quadruples) is what Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye goes by where she resides in Kabimbiri village, Mukono District An overcrowded neighborhood with children running all over welcomes me to Nabatanzi’s home. At 37, Nabatanzi has 38 children whom she has delivered from home except the last born who is four months old. She was delivered by caesarean section. Among her children are six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, three sets of quadruples and single births. Ten of these are girls and the rest are boys. The oldest is 23 years old while the youngest four months. Eager to tell her story, she takes a minute before getting into it, tilting her head lost in thoughts. She was married off at 12 years of age after surviving death; allegedly at her stepmother’s hands who apparently pounded glass and mixed it in the food she gave Nabatanzi and her four siblings. Fortunately, she was away unlike her siblings who ate the food and died on the spot. Married off Nabatanzi breaks down when she recalls what she went through upon getting married. In 1993, she was married off to a 40-year-old man. “I did not know I was being married off. People came home and brought things for my father. When time came for them to leave, I thought I was escorting my aunt but when I got there, she gave me away to the man.” Being only a young girl, she found marriage a difficult task in the new family. “My husband was polygamous with many children from his past relationships who I had to take care of because their mothers were scattered all over. He was also violent and would beat me at any opportunity he got even when I suggested an idea that he didn’t like,” she recounts. Starting a family Her father-in-law gave them a piece of land to start their family, a family for which she planned to have six children. In 1994, when she was 13, Nabatanzi gave birth to twins. Two years later, she gave birth to triplets and a year and seven months after that added a set of quadruplets. This, she says was nothing strange to her because she had seen it before in her lineage. “My father gave birth to 45 children with different women and these all came in quintuplets, quadruples, twins and triplets,” she says. Indeed, Dr Charles Kiggundu, a gynecologist at Mulago Hospital and President of gynaecologists and obstetricians, says it is very possible for Nabatanzi to have taken after her father. “Her case is genetic predisposition to hyper-ovulate (releasing multiple eggs in one cycle), which significantly increases the chance of having multiples; it is always genetic,” he explains. By her sixth delivery, Nabatanzi had had 18 children and wanted to stop, so, she went to see a doctor at Namaliili Hospital. The problem The doctor told Nabatanzi that she could not be stopped then because she had a high ovary count which would eventually kill her if she stopped. “Having these unfertilised eggs accumulate poses not only a threat to destroy the reproductive system but can also make the woman lose their lives,” Dr Ahmed Kikomeko from Kawempe General Hospital explains. “I was advised to keep producing since putting this on hold would mean death. I tried using the Inter Uterine Device (IUD) but I got sick and vomited a lot, to the point of near death. I went into a coma for a month,” she explains. At the age of 23 with now 25 children, she went back to hospital to try and stop. “I was checked in at Mulago Hospital and advised to continue producing since the ovary count was still high.” No way to stop? Kiggundu explains that women’s ovaries are at times suppressed and stopped from ovulating. “The suppressed eggs later pile up and are released at once and here, the higher the chances of fertilizing many eggs, the higher the chances of all of them dying, Nabatanzi was lucky,” he says. “She must have been super ovulating, releasing many eggs in a cycle.” He adds that Nabatanzi could have been helped if she had really wanted to stop producing, but some people are not well informed. At the birth of her four-month-old child who was delivered by C-section in December last year, she says; “I asked the doctor to stop me from more births and he said he had ‘cut my uterus from inside’. This was my only Cesarean delivery because I was still weak from the sickness I suffered when I tried to use an IUD.” Kiggundu says this was most likely tubal ligation. “With tubal ligation, the tubes are blocked, a permanent method of contraception in women, but they would continue having their menses,”explains the gynecologist. Hurdles in marriage Nabatanzi’s 25 years in marriage have been characterised by humiliation and torture. “I have been tortured countless times by my husband; he beats to the pulp when I try to reason with him over any issue, especially when he gets home drank. He does not provide for basic needs and welfare of the family; the children hardly know who he is since he is an absent father who gives his children names over the phone and not physically,” she says. Charles Musisi, 23, her eldest son says their father disappeared and they have grown up only with their mother’s love. “I can comfortably tell you that our siblings do not know what father looks like. I last saw him when I was 13 years old and only briefly in the night because he rushed off again,” he says, adding that they do not know the happiness of living with a father and they only rely on their mother as their both mother and father. Nabatanzi says her husband spends close to a year without coming home and when he does, he just sneaks into the house late in the night and leaves very early in the morning. “I carry these humiliations because my aunt advised me to always endure in marriage and have my children as the center of focus. She advised me not to produce children from different men.” The education challenge Nabatanzi is optimistic about seeing her children through school, something her father could not do for her. Despite being a Primary Two dropout, she has managed to educate her children. One of her first born twins has a certificate in nursing and the other in building although they have not found jobs yet. Two of her other children are in Senior Six, three in Senior Five, Four in Primary Seven, and four in Senior One. The rest are between baby class and Primary Six. “I am hopeful that my children will go to school because they all have big ambitions of being doctors, teachers and lawyers; I want them to realise these dreams, something I was not able to do.” Nabatanzi does not have a garden or land to farm, so she has to buy food to feed her children and this is her biggest expense. “Everything is solely from my pocket; I buy 10kg of maize flour a day, four kilogrammes of sugar a day and three bars of soap. I need to have Shs100, 000 at the least on a daily basis to have the family catered for. God has been good to me for they have never gone a day without a meal,” she says. Nabatanzi is in the process of gathering money to connect piped water she can sell since water is a big problem in the area, with a jerry can costing Shs800. David Kazimba, who fetches her water, says he gets her 15 jerry cans of water a day. “She is a social person I have known for the last eight years. She is a hardworking and caring woman. At times, people mock her because of her many children but she just ignores them,” he says. To meet her expenses, Nabatanzi administers local herbs for various illnesses – which she says she has done since she was a young girl- and doing casual work such as plaiting hair, decorating at events, and styling brides. “I do not despise any job as long as it brings in some money. Feeling sorry for myself is something I dropped because I know these children are a gift from God that I have to treasure, so I try my level best to fend for them.” The main worry Nabatanzi’s five-year-old son who was diagnosed with a heart problem early this year worries her as she has to spend Shs120, 000 a week to buy him medicine. “In January, the doctors at Mulago Hospital advised me to raise Shs35m in nine months to have him taken to India for an operation. Since I do not have this money yet, I buy him medicine to help him cope in the meantime,” she says. Nabatanzi finds solace in her children as the family she never had while growing up. “I wish I could get a helping hand to help me with my children’s schooling, which is my major concern. I stopped looking to my husband for anything. I’m only focusing on raising my children and I am determined to do,” she explains. Home care The older children help with their siblings and the general home administration. “I enjoy taking care of my children myself though. My children are my joy and I pride caring for them. I cook, wash and bathe them with ease. Children grow better under a mother’s love and care,” she says. Health. Nabatanzi says she delivers her children naturally and she has always felt fine after each delivery until her recent C-section birth after which she started to develop backache after doing some home chores. “My daughter who studied nursing used to take care of me during pregnancy. Eventually, I learnt how to do this, so I have not had any difficulties or complications with my pregnancies,” she explains. Expert view Gynaecologist Dr Charles Kiggundu, refers to Nabantanzi’s ability to conceive so many multiples as “genetic predisposition to hyper ovulate”. He explains;“It is an increased likelihood of having children in multiples (twins, triplets, quadruplets…) based on a person’s genetic makeup. It results from specific genetic variations that are often inherited from a parent. In some cases, women ovulate more than one time consecutively, but in other cases they release more than one egg at the same time, leaving room for the fertilisation of released eggs. When that happens, each one develops within its own sac in the womb; hyper-ovulation naturally is hereditary.” How common it is I have not seen many of such cases in Uganda; the highest I have seen are twins and one case of triplets, but scientifically this condition is real. Risks and solutions The higher the number of eggs fertilised, the higher the risk of losing all children (miscarrying). Going for anti-natal care during pregnancy helps to have the situation monitored closely, doctors can help. Although a person’s genetic makeup cannot be changed, some lifestyle and environmental alterations (such as having more frequent disease screenings and maintaining a healthy weight) may help ward off opportunistic health problems Advice to women Nabatanzi says a woman is respected by the way she handles her family and having to settle in her marriage containing all that is there since this is her pride. “There are no easy marriages; women should be patient because even our great grandmothers did not have a smooth one. They should be patient as there is always a lot to deal with in marriage and it is the patience that heals time, mine is to take care of my children which I am doing happily,” she says. Advice to men “Do not forget your responsibility because marriage is a joint responsibility to raise these children. “I cry deeply in my heart wondering whether I produced these children on my own.” She further urges men to stop marrying off their children for quick money and gains as this not only affects them but also their children.
