Arrived the UK Yesterday it was a delightful experience. I feel Happy again for this journey So far. When I got to London Heathrow Airport before connecting to Glasgow the Border security was like what are you here for after giving him my passport I said work he then asked can I see your documents I was likely shey this one dey mad ni? inside me while smiling I showed him my appointment letter for a medical fitness test he still said let me show him other documents and communication I had with my employer I Shar showed him my offer letter in my mail while looking at it he asked me which organisation I said NHS he finally asked what was I doing in Nigeria before coming I said worked in a hospital and mentioned the name he then stamped my Visa. Well the rest is history now as I have settled pretty well.

Hello Gurus please I need your opinion.

Someone is asking that I help them bring their drivers licence which they couldn't pick up before travelling. Is it advisable that I carry another person's drivers ID while travelling? Would I be held at the airport by immigration or airport security? The same person wants me to help them also carry shoes but I declined and I don't know this person just someone that got my contact while searching for accommodation in the UK. Please I'm a first time traveller I need your honest opinion

Just explain your accommodation in simple terms how you plan to settle upon arrival as long as you are being truthful it won't affect you ur visa decision. You are even lucky to have someone in the UK who's address you could use which is very okay. In my application I simply stated I plan to stay in a hotel upon arrival for A week before moving to the accommodation I have will secure and I got my visit although I was also disturbed like you when I got to the accommodation question.

My Uncle stays in London UK and that's the address on my TB medical Certificate. Tho I'm to stay with him temporarily before I move permanently to my main job location address permanently.

Now my Job location is at Barnsley, south Yorkshire which is 4 hours journey from London.

Now on my online Visa application, I was asked my UK address, I still use same London address on my medical Certificate. Next page, I was asked if i will be staying in another location, i answered Yes. Then the subsequent questions is when I will arrive the place in UK and when I will leave the place.

Now I made a mistake by not asking my employe anything accommodation...I want to avoid any issue concerning this accommodation address issue.what should I do?
Can IOM issue another certificate if I tell them to change my UK address to my work address because definitely I won't be travelling 4 hours everyday from London to Barnsley for work. What should I do?

Forget flexi visa processing are not taking time this period I got mine standard normal appointment under 6 working days another was 5 working days standard application

Just got to the uk today as dependant and was asked why im in the uk...I told the oyibo say i come join my wife ooh kilode! He asked how long we have been married, i told the man and he asked for marriage certificate oooh...ah na so i search my hand luggage e no dey (i remembered i kept it in my checked in luggage) what i only say was court affidavit of marriage and he saw my kids were mentioned in the affidavit, that one led to another question...where are ur kids? I told him they are in Nigeria and he asked who are they with...i replied: they are with my mum...he went further to ask how i will sustain myself financially ah! I told him my wife is working and i will get a job as well and i have been applying from my home country, he asked what work is she doing and if I have gotten a job offer already...i said not yet still applying, he just gave me back my docs and stamped me in.

The questions were too much abeg!

Can i use either of the two as salary accounts? Which Bank would you suggest for a salary account and account type in the UK?

No its an individual something I did my Biometric in Abuja 31st Jan and got collection mail same day it was transferred to VAC received by vac after 6 working days standard application. It's just an individual experience.

No accommodation by the organisation maintenance was only ticked but I was told I have to sought out my accommodation.

True Shar adding certificate to visa application for care jobs is just way off it except you studied a health related profession like nursing, biomedical science or medical Radiography I wouldn't advice anyone adding their certificate I added mine for my visa because it was on the document checklist to proof my language requirement as English. Well my visa came out in 6 working days cos it was a health care job and NHS as well.

They contacted the school nah and the school said they did not know the applicant. And that was the end. And I remember when someone warned him here not to add any certificate to the application. Hello Guys please I have an issue that needs your input. I payed for my flight Qatar Airways with bank transfer after booking on hold I made a transfer from a third party account and put my name as reason for payment without including my booking number it's been two hours I was told it takes to confirm payment I have received an email to show Qatar Airways have received my payment but I have not gotten a flight ticket confirmation for my flight ticket that it has been purchased successfully please how do I resolve this issue has anyone had such. I know I do not need a transit visa but with the earthquake in Turkey I just don't want the flight to be cancelled cos I think people are avoiding booking with them. Guys please avoid KLM, AIR France and I think Lufthansa. Omo I saw cheap Air France ticket a couple of weeks ago. Made payments in full only for me to be told I need shengen visa after I have been ticketed. Departure is 12th Feb, praying to God I get my passport back from french embassy tomorrow. If not I might be forfeiting the ticket and money as it is non refundable

Maintenance is at the discretion of your employer and how they feel sometimes. Most times it's just to make your application easy and save you the stress associated with proof of funds keeping funds for 28 days in your account and all some employers also know that we are from a third world country so they tick maintenance with this in mind as well. But if maintenance is ticked it covers both MA And dependent.

Some would even tick Maintenance for MA and dependents sef but some won't tick Maintenance at all.

Not true. maximum for COS is 5 years. Which was what I got when filling visa form you select 3 years or more than 3 years depends on the years attached on your COS

My story can only be defined as a miracle. God did.
Job interview was August 2022 I got unsuccessful mail in September but was told I will be kept on reserve for 6 months due to the standard of my application/interview I contacted interviewer and was informed that they are awaiting funding for two more positions and will be willing to offer me one once funding is approved. Waiting game began I even forgot about the post. 30th October I got a mail requesting I call them on the 1st of November I joined the call via teams and was informed that I am being offered a position. Passport wasn't done had to do express passport. COS came a month later December 8 my ecctis application delayed the final visa application because my school won't give me my transcript until a months time.

Today made it 14th working day and they just moved my application to VAC. No mail nothing nothing.

Visa Health and care worker standard cost me about 609usd I don't know where the 313usd came from. Tls services depends on assisted or personal upload 12500 but without requiring any of their services you don't spend a single dime after visa payment. I did my Biometrics with tls under 10 mins from point of entry I didn't pay any extra charges well I lucky not everyone maybe lucky.

It depends on organisation but it can take between 2 weeks to 3 months mine took 1 month I have seen on this thread while waiting for mine people who's COS took up to 3 moths. It all depends on how fast home office are able to verify your recruitment process with the organisation applying for the COS on your behalf.
