Onlinesmart: Your tiny 5 states doesn't move mountains. Lagos and Abuja is where the international community knows well and protests have gone in those areas so who care about one "attention seeking" region whether they protest or not. The ones they've been protesting about, has anyone taken them serious? Lol, okoros too feeling important. The earlier you know your position in Nigeria, the better for you. Everything is at your disadvantage from landmass, poverty, population to backwardness. The only advantage you have is your "chest beating" which everyone doesn't even take serious anymore. Is stup1d of you to need the attention of international communities to end SARS an operation set up by Nigeria govt by Nigerians. IPOB protest in East states gained more international coverage than this end Sars whatever. |

They can keep badmouthing the protest for now, the south west and south south won’t be deterred. And like everything we’ve achieved for this country, we will fight alone without them and achieve result. When the battle is won, we shall come back to review this thread. When has it become south west and south south.. When did that union begin? |

Tranquill: You guys are not as open minded as you want to sound and you know it.
Tell me the last time Igbos operated within the inner circles of power in Nigeria before Jonathan came on board. Igbos benefited in terms of appointments in Jonathan's government more than ever and that was one of the reasons the Yorubas were against him. I remember the phrase in Igboland when you got the Chief of Army Staff, SSG etc was "he has ended the war for us". You forget so quickly.
I also remember that during the Yar Adua issue, when every regions, organizations etc including the northerners were demanding that Yar Adua transmit power to Jonathan, it was the South East governors that met in Enugu to declare that "the status quo be maintained". It's on record.
Don't come here and start talking nonsense with your selective amnesia, just because people don't want to fall for your deceptive antics and unholy agenda. Maybe you should look into Obasanjo regime, and those who were they driving force in his administration |

Politics › Ogun Human Part Dealers Beat Buyers Over N1m Fee by Youngmaster0(op): 7:16pm On May 21, 2020 |
Published May 21, 2020 Daud Olatunji, Abeokuta
Suspected ritualists, who deal in human parts in Ogun State, got enraged and beat up some of their customers for failing to pay the agreed sum of N1m for a human hand that was supplied to them.
The suspected ritualists reportedly lured their customers to a bush and beat them to a pulp for failing to pay for the human hand they asked them to provide.
It was gathered that the human part dealers were contracted by three persons, who were interested in money-making rituals.
The suspected ritualists demanded N1m for the ‘commodity’ but the buyers, identified as Matthew Idosu, John Feyisetan and Samuel Adegbola, could not come up with the sum after the hand had been delivered to them.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident in a statement.
Oyeyemi said the three human part buyers were arrested by policemen in collaboration with the state security outfit, So-safe Corps, alongside a 40-year-old herbalist, Michael Itomu.
The PPRO explained that the suspects were arrested by the Joint Task Force at Idi-Iroko in the Ipokia Local Government Area of the state.
According to Oyeyemi, the four suspects were arrested for being in possession of a fresh human hand.
The PPRO stated that the suspects had contracted someone in Abeokuta, who promised to get the human hand for them for N1m.
Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested following information received by policemen attached to the Idi-Iroko Division.
He said the policemen were told that three suspects had sought the help of a herbalist for money rituals.
Oyeyemi added that the herbalist asked them to provide a fresh human hand before he could help them with the money rituals.
He said preliminary investigation revealed that it was Idosu, who contracted a family friend of his in Abeokuta to provide the human hand alongside two others, who are currently at large.
The PPRO stated, “On delivering the hand, the dealers demanded the agreed N1m, but the money was not readily available; this led to a serious scuffle between them and they angrily took away the duo of Samuel Adegbola and John Feyisetan into a bush, where they thoroughly beat them before they were released on May 17, 2020.
It was the action of those, who supplied the hand, that made the whole secret to leak out and which eventually led to their arrest.”
Oyeyemi said following a tip-off, the Divisional Police Officer, Idiroko Division, CSP Sunday Opebiyi, detailed his detectives in collaboration with men of the So-safe Corps to ambush the suspects as a result of which three of them were apprehended in Owode-Yewa.
“Their arrest led to the arrest of the herbalist in the early hours of Tuesday, May 19, 2020,” the PPRO added.
He said the fresh human hand had been taken to the Idi-Iroko General Hospital for preservation.
Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Kenneth Ebrimson, had ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
“He also directed that other members of the syndicate, who provided the hand, should be hunted and brought to justice,” Oyeyemi added. https://punchng.com/ogun-human-part-dealers-beat-buyers-over-n1m-fee/

Politics › FLASHBACK: When Yakassai, Brigadier Abba Kyari Tackled Ekwueme Over Abacha’s Sel by Youngmaster0(op): 10:28am On May 12, 2020 |
Author: The Cables
With less than one month to the 22nd anniversary of the death of Sani Abacha, Nigeria’s military from 1993 to 1998, Olusegun Adeniyi, celebrated journalist and author, has made his book, ‘The Last 100 Days of Abacha’,
The book, first published in 2005, chronicles the events leading to the sudden death of the general who was on the verge of transmuting from a military head of state to a civilian president.
After all the five political parties had adopted him as their sole presidential candidate, Alex Ekwueme, former vice-president — who died at 85 in 2017 — and 33 other eminent politicians, including Adamu Ciroma and Bola Ige, asked Abacha to reject the nomination.
In an eleven-page memorandum, the group of 34 urged Abacha to discountenance the nomination by the political parties in order not to “create the impression that Nigeria is degenerating to a state of outlaw and anarchy, thus bringing the entire transition process and the Head of State himself to ridicule and disgrace”.
The group urged Abacha to “promptly and unequivocally decline the purported nomination, and in doing so, to have an eye on the verdict of history and his place in it”.
In a counter-reaction, the Northern Patriotic Front (NPF), made up of Abba Kyari, a retired brigadier and former governor of north-central Nigeria, Tanko Yakassai, presidential liaison officer to the national assembly in the second republic, and Ibrahim Tahir, a former minister who had a PhD in social anthropology from King’s College, Cambridge, singled out Ekwueme for attack.
Ekwueme was accused of trying to break up the country through his advocacy for “confederacy” or loose federation.
The NPF wrote: “It is regrettable that the group has arrogated to itself the sole wisdom for the generality of Nigerians, including the true political parties on what should or not be done in the on-going transition to civil rule programme. We find it ironical and reprehensible that this group of Nigerians would trade the peace and progress of this nation with some unsubstantiated technicalities. We are aware that a leading figure in that group was working with forces which in recent years advocated confederacy in Nigeria. He went as far as to sponsor a memorandum during the last constitutional conference calling for a loose federation which had the potentials of breaking the country.”
They said a former US president was allowed a third term in office contrary to US constitution.
“Are they working to create a political crisis to bring back their agenda of breaking up the country despite the fact that Nigerians have overwhelmingly rejected the idea?” they asked.
While Yakassai is still alive and clocked 94 last December, Kyari died in 2018 at 80 and Tahir in 2009 at 71.
‘The Last 100 Days of Abacha’, which is written in a diary format, climaxes in the death of Abacha on June 8 — the same day his associates had put together a seminar, with Ebenezer Babatope, former UPN stalwart, slated to be the lead speaker.
All the national newspapers published the advert by Movement for National Stability (MNAS) announcing a national seminar with the topic ‘Should General Sani Abacha, GCON, contest the Presidency?’
Lead speaker: Chief Ebenezer Babatope, Senator-elect with a panel of discussants.
Chairman: Lt General Jerry Useni.
Mother of the Day: Mrs. Maryam Abacha.
Royal Father of the Day: Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido
Special Guests of Honour: Mr. Dan Etete, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, Prof. Auwalu Yadudu, Mr. Laz Unaogu and Chief Bode Olajumoke.
Chief Host: Sir Emeka Offor.
“By mid-day, that same 8th June, it was glaring to all Nigerians that God had rendered the question irrelevant with the death earlier that morning of General Sani Abacha,” Adeniyi wrote. https://www.thecable.ng/flashback-when-yakassai-brigadier-abba-kyari-tackled-ekwueme-over-abachas-self-succession/amp
