Good evening everyone, please i would like to ask these questions as i will be applying for a Spouse visa by January.

1. How do i scan my marriage certificate to be in A4 size?
2. Do i need police clearance for my application?
3. How long does it take to get a decision after biometric appointment

1. I scanned it on my phone and printed in A4 and rescanned again.
2. You don’t need police clearance for spouse settlement visa.
3. Within 120 working days.

Come pick it cause it’s a settlement visa please

I don’t have an idea but you can check with them next week when it would have gotten to 15 working days.

Hello guys I am new to this forum and I would like someone to help me out so my uk visa was overturned and I have submitted my passport since 25th of October and still haven’t heard anything so I was thinking of going to the ikeja on Wednesday to check if my passport is available cause I stay in Ibadan

I will advise you to wait a little bit so you don’t waste your time going to Ikeja for nothing, it’s just 6 working days since you submitted your passport, at least wait till the end of the week.

but I check online still showing 3 green and 3 reds ,can I go there without receiving a mail from TLS ..pls help me I’m confused .thanks

You can try going there to see if it’s with tls, take your collection slip with you, don’t explain anything to anyone, just show your collection slip at the gate and enter or you can wait for one more week to see if tls would send an email.
The online tracker doesn’t change sometimes, mine changed when I picked up my passport.

Good morning everyone. My husband lives in the Uk I recently got a six months visa which is to expire 11th January 2023. I’m applying for spousal visa through an immigration lawyer in the Uk so I’m coming back to Nigeria for it. Now my question is This,I left Nigeria July 29th and I’m to return 29th August because during the application I told the home office I’m staying for a month, now my return date has passed and I’m going back to Nigeria September 16th will it affect my spousal visa application My six months visa was issued 11th July and will expire 11th January 2023..

It’s not going to affect your application, relax, lol. If you like, stay 5 months, so far it is spousal visa you are applying for next, it’s not going to affect your application.

yes. It’s a work visa.

A marriage certificate (court) is what you can use as proof of marriage and if you like, you can add a few pictures you took on your wedding day.

Go to the search bar on this website and type UK dependant visa and you’ll see the right forum where you can get more information.

Hello everyone, please Is there anyone that applied for spouse visa and re-appealed, and the appealed was allowed, the UKVI contacted me to submit my passport and also do another Tuberculosis test, that the decision was overturn. So I submitted both passport and Tb test on the 31st of May,2022. But up till now, I am yet to get feedback from them. Do anyone have an idea how long it takes for them to respond? I was at Tls contact some days ago and I was told to keep checking my email… but it’s frustrating… will be glad if anyone can assist. Thanks.

I don’t know if sending a paid email would help, maybe you should look into it but if it doesn’t, then you just have to wait it out, meanwhile, congratulations on the decision that was overturned in your favour, hopefully you will get your collection email soon.

Hi everyone,

I recently got a 5 year visa to the UK and will like my newly wedded wife to join me. I’m worried because we just got married about a week ago. What kind of evidences can I submit to prove that we have a valid marriage. And how do I document. Any advice will be appreciated.

You didn’t specify the type of visa, is it work visa?

Good morning All,

So far, so good the prompt responses and quality information I have read here has really helped a great deal. I appreciate you all.

However, I have a question regarding the application I am about to submit.

My wife has just completed her divorce process and she’s been issued her divorce papers here in Nigeria in March. April we got married and I am about to submit my spousal visa application. She’s a British citizen.

Now my question; Is it compulsory she go for a change of name before I submit my application? Is our registry marriage certificate and her divorce papers enough to justify her not having my name officially yet? Needed to clear this doubt before I proceed.

Thank you.

Change of name isn’t necessary, marriage certificate and the decree absolute are more important.

The wait is really getting a troll on me and my mental health has been affected.Biometric was done Nov 26, Got a non- straight forward mail on my 58 wd, Today makes it exactly 126 working days, and no other info or update from them. Just confused and Dont know what to do again.Contacted MP no feedback, just made a complain tho, I hope I get something positive out of that. Pouring this out here to hear some positive stories that will make me feel better

I don’t know how you’ve been able to wait for 126 days, I would have bombarded them with emails and calls. Normally, when they say “not straight forward”, it takes a few weeks to hear from them. I pray you hear from them soon.

No

We have been doing the same thing, refreshing the tracker, emails etc my wife is beside herself. I really feel for her. I would definitely update people on here.

The Ukraine excuse is quite poor, they are still issuing work, tourist, visiting visas. But they expect people who pay over the odds to be split away from their love ones.

I have already made my complaints to the home office, they usually get back within 20 working days in regards to the complaint.

I’m not very sure but I think other non-settlement visas are being processed in the country where the applicant resides, that’s why Ukraine crisis doesn’t affect them.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by youniq: 3:13pm On May 12, 2022
Ray7878:

Thanks for clarifying that, because my wife had a mate that paid under £400 on the same day that she went to do her biometrics. And that Lady got her visa within 3 weeks and she is now with her husband in the UK. They were comparing notes and were confused with the spouse visa different prices. I did explain to her that their might be “Dependent visa” rather than settlement.

I would keep on updating you to let you know how far we have got to. Our biometrics was done on the 28th of January at Ikeja, so we looking at the end of July for this to come out. She had to re-rent her place today as we speak for another 6 months.

So it’s just patience really.

Please keep me updated, the anxiety I feel from waiting is too much, I keep refreshing my email every minute, I read somewhere that all applications made this year has been packed aside for the home office to fully concentrate on the Ukraine crisis, that’s why no spouse settlement applicant from January till date has come back to drop a feedback.

Yep they sent this to my wife on Tuesday grin she is going crazy right now. So another 2 and half months to wait for us. But as seen on here everyone have different spouse application, our one is settlement/marriage visa because I was born here etc And I have seen others who have applied (I think via healthcare workers) and pay a lot less than what we had to pay (Even though I work for the NHS too).

This wait is going to be long and exhausting. Regarding the other visa you were referring to, I think theirs is dependent visa while ours is spouse settlement visa, It isn’t the same.
