PoliticsRe: Nigeria Being Re-engineered For Prosperity Of All – Tinubu by YourKarma: 1:33pm On Dec 29, 2023
theamazonguru:
Let's just have little faith in this government.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I once had a white boss, who came in from France. He under studied 2 Africans, and as part of the understudy process, he had to learn one or two things from me.

While he was under studying, this guy looked so so confused. It was as if the operation was just too complex for him to grasp. I was one of the people making jest of him. Because it was too obvious he looked confused. So we thought he had nothing to offer.

Not knowing this guy was only playing a fool so as to understand everything little detail necessary.
And at the same time, he was busy building a new system to be adopted in our operation ,as his motive was to overhaul the entire system.

Ómó, at the end of the day, this was after his 3rd rotation. This guy became a beast. He launched his new model.
It was over the roof.

The results speak for itself.

This was the same position where we have had like 10 people occupy in the past.
Yet they couldn't bring in this kind of ground breaking innovation.

It was a guy who looked confused initially that made it happen.

Shout out to you Guillaume where ever you are.
We are still enjoying the operational software infrastructure you designed.

Lesson:
To kick start a major change is never easy.
The task is daunting.
Give it time, you will see the effort being put into the work in the background.
Provided the stakeholders are genuine in their plan and resolute in their execution.

Ire oh.
Rubbish talk. This is the same way y'all made excuses for Buhari's ineptitude and look where that got us.

BusinessRe: Nigerian Banks Set To Launch Compliant Naira Stablecoin In 2024 by YourKarma: 7:16am On Dec 29, 2023
FreeStuffsNG:
The key partners in the consortium include prominent Nigerian tier-1 banks such as First Bank, Access Bank, Sterling Bank, and Providus Bank, payments companies Budpay, Kora (formerly KoraPay), and Interswitch, and Blockchain consultants Convexity and Interstellar. The proposed cNGN stablecoin, similar to existing stablecoins, will facilitate seamless international transfer of NGN.

Nevertheless, there are still many unknowns about the cNGN that will need to be clarified by the consortium, such as the blockchain it will use and the planned apps and services for consumers.

If this is true then those publicly-quoted banks must have previously issued a forward-looking statement to investors through the Nigerian Stock Exchange. They did no such thing so this will contravene SEC rules.

Furthermore, I don't believe that CBN will allow banks operate a monetary system it will not be able to control and regulate.

This news ri bakan for now until CBN clarifies it.
What happened to eNaira after all the hype and billions wasted on implementation?
You guys are a bunch of clowns

EducationRe: Imo State Has Highest Literacy Rate In Nigeria by YourKarma: 12:47pm On Dec 27, 2023
SmartyPants:
Literacy stats have nothing to do with higher education. A high rate of literacy means people are going to primary school and secondary school. How does that have any bearing on higher education, particularly up to the PhD level??
PhD isn't a measure of literacy. If it was, the basics for contesting for presidency in Nigeria won't be a WAEC degree, will it?

Even my late grandma spoke English. I'm sure you've never met an Igbo man who wasn't, at least, able to speak the English language but during my stay in Ogun Waterside, I was shocked to meet people who couldn't speak a word in English.

I don't even want to talk about the people in the north, they're on a whole different level

EducationRe: Imo State Has Highest Literacy Rate In Nigeria by YourKarma: 12:35pm On Dec 27, 2023
SmartyPants:
There are different ways to measure education. Most literate is one metric, and it measures the spread of basic education. The proportion of individuals with higher education is another way to measure it.

Now we may not have the stats but from observation, it seems reasonable to suggest that the Yorubas, and to some extent, the South Southerners, particularly of Edo and Delta, may be the leaders when it comes to higher education.
All available stats on literacy says you're wrong

Even in USA where they have all the machine in the world, people still die of cancer steadily. It’s like you don’t know what is called cancer.

If you don’t detect it early and it got to that stage, it’s sure death.

609,000 people died from cancer in USA in 2022 alone.
Definitely, but this man would've been alive for longer if he was in the US.
If they had found a dialysis machine he wouldn't have died.

It is a daily ritual that has been on for years. Not just the season or now that he's the President.

If you are familiar with that area of Ikoyi, you will know anytime Asiwaju Tinubu is around because there will be a lot of people gathered outside and waiting to see him.

Most people who are just knowing the enigma Asiwaju Tinubu is are the ones who regard this as news. It's normal and I believe he learnt this from his late Mum.

Some years ago that we went to visit Mama in her Ikeja residence, the crowd waiting outside to see mama was so much that we had to reschedule the visit. Mama was getting old and frail then so could only attend to few visitors. Check my signature for free stuffs!

I have seen plenty foreigners making a lot of money in Naija no noise , no public shouting

Just a few Igbos making noise causing problems

Stop all this tribalism rubbish

I have worked in settings where merit.and output is the way individuals are seen and not tribalism

Some of your biggest customers may not be from your tribe

Travel, explore new frontiers, be polite. Be respectful, avoid politics and face your business

Didn't You see BUA chairman rejecting APC party official post

Rich igbos should push The politicians in the East to do more
Allow them to make their noise. It's not easy for a region destroyed during the civil war to build itself to the level they currently are with little support from the government at the center, a region where everybody who had money in the bank was given just 20 pounds no matter how much money they had in the bank prior to the war, a region every government seems to be doing everything to suppress.

If you see them celebrating their victories as "making noise", I guess you'll be happier with seeing only negativity from that region. When other regions make their own noise it's not an issue to you but when Igbos rejoice over their gains it pains you.

Stop reasoning like a local fowl. Think Global. Interact, Mix Up, Get exposed

You would know that even Nigeria is still technologically backward than the USA was 100 years ago.
Nigeria can't even produce the drugs the citizens without Ukraine supplies us wheat. 60 years of Independence and no state on the East or elsewhere has 24 hours electricity

Nigeria does not generate up to 1 percent of Procter and Gambles worldwide revenue that's why they can leave the Country and You are supporting stupid and local tribal comparism
Foreign fowl, what's my concern with a useless country that has chosen to remain useless?

Also, what does this have to do with my earlier response to your earlier post?
Politics2023 State Of States Fiscal Performance Ranking by YourKarma(op):
Budgit just released the 2023 State of States Fiscal Performance Ranking and Rivers State tops again; Anambra joins Lagos, Kaduna, and Ebonyi in the top five; Zamfara, Bayelsa, and Benue lead from the bottom.

Financial performance is an essential indicator for public sector balance in terms of revenue and expenditure.

The fiscal performance rating of a city refers to an assessment or evaluation of the financial health, stability, and management efficiency of the city's government and its fiscal policies. This rating provides an indication of how well a city is managing its financial resources and meeting its budgetary commitments. Various factors contribute to the fiscal performance rating, and these assessments are often conducted by credit rating agencies, financial institutions, or government bodies.
