Travel / Do You Need To Do Covid Test To Travel From Nigeria To UK by Ysakaws: 11:23pm On Sep 13, 2020
I would be traveling from the Lagos airport to Heathrow aiport, UK next week (British Airways directly to UK). According to Lagos Airport Twitter account, I do not need to test for covid or present a result to travel to UK via BA. However, someone said he was asked by the airport officials to present his covid test result before he could enter. I’m here to ask if any nairalander has traveled after the reopening with or without presenting a covid test result.

Please is it advisable to apply for Masters in universities in Canada and USA, or I should just stick to one country

Won’t I have problem getting a study visa if the VO knows I applied to both USA and Canada

If I were your friend, I'd move!
It might take him some time to settle down and live a comfortable life once again but it's worth the whole stress. He should move for the future of his kids. They'll forever remain grateful.
I keep hearing this statement “...for the future of your kids.” What are the ways migrating to Canada will affect the future of your kids?

Please can someone help me

I just got my CAQ and I am so skeptical about applying for visa. I have an admission at Concordia university for this sept and there's no winter semester for that program. Is it too late to apply for visa owing to the fact that the processing time is now 10weeks?

Also I have checked for universities and colleges for PGD in biochemistry or anything related but I can't seem to find any. I can't really go for masters cos I graduated with HND. Please anyone that has info on anything related to biochemistry PGD should pls help, let me reapply for winter semester. I have searched and searched. What about an advanced diploma what are my chances? I'm also checking my age, I'm 27

Thanks
To get your admission, please did you get academic referees. Also, did your referees use your school’s email?

Course works seems attractive but you won't be able to do PhD with it.
I will suggest you choose Thesis option because of the benefits also interms of funding.

Just an opinion.

I also applied 2weeks ago for fall 2019
One of the problems of thesis is finding supervisors that will be interested in you. Have you got a supervisor?

In the process of applying to University of Manitoba for my Masters in Computer Science. I really do not know the pros and cons of thesis and coursework. I have the option to choose between both. Coursework seems attractive to me since it will require less stress. Should I go for coursework?

APPROVAL ALERT!!!
Online Application
Submitted: June 16, 2018
Biometrics request: June 22, 2018
Eligibility review: August 9, 2018
Medicals request: August 9, 2018
Medicals done: August 14, 2018
Medicals passed: August 16, 2018
Passport request: August 30, 2018

DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED
All required CIC forms
Acceptance letter
WAEC result
Transcripts
BA certificate (first class) – I also got a scholarship covering full tuition from my school in Canada but had to sort my living expenses
NYSC Discharge Certificate
Sponsors’ statement of account with closing balance of about 300k (business account)
Sponsors’ treasury bill certificates – 10m
Sponsors’ CAC
Sponsors’ tax clearance certificate
Sponsors’ international passport data page
Letter of Intent

My sponsor was my cousin so I included a family tree showing relationship and her marriage certificate since we no longer have the same last name.

I didn’t include my personal statement of account and my home ties were my two siblings in Nigeria and the job prospects that I have in Nigeria based on my course.

First, I must state that my application was nothing but a miracle. After submission, I found nairaland and based on what I read on threads, I had some loopholes in my application like using a business statement of account, not submitting my personal statement of account, and not having the usual home ties like land and other properties.

I kept praying and believing God for his grace to cover the flaws in my application and He showed up for me! Nothing is impossible with God, you just need to have faith and He will show up for you mightily.

Best of luck to other TRV hopefuls
Please which University? How did you apply for the scholarship? Did you submit GRE, TOEFL or any result

Approval Alert! Long Post Alert Too.

I applied on July 26th online. I received a medical request August 8th, I did it the next day in PH. My medicals was updated as pass earlier today around 11am, and about 30mins ago, the approval and Passport request landed.

Msc, McGill University
Documents submitted.
My Sponsor is my Fiancée's Sister. I submitted her personal and business' statements of account (She is a small business owner), with a combined balance of about 13 million naira after she has transferred my estimated tuition fee for 1 year to me (1.2m).
Sponsorship and affidavit of sponsorship letter.
CAC documents of her business
My Fiancée's and my Sponsor’s birth certificates and my Sponsor’s International passport data page (single travel history to dubai).
Sponsor’s family picture of about 8years ago showing me at her convocation ceremony from the University (My Fiancée is in the picture too).
My engagement dinner picture with my Fiancee.

SOP(2 pages)
Resume (It shows my two research publications in international peer-reviewed journals and my current project)
Statement of my long-standing Mutual funds investment account with ARM (1.4m current balance).
TOEFL Result (I wrote it last year for another purpose, McGill didn't require it from me, but I sha submitted it anyway in the rush)
Offer letter from McGill.
CAQ approval letter from Quebec.
Email approval of my Differential Fee Waiver Award from McGill (This DFW allows me to pay tuition and other fees at Quebec rate which is about 1.2m (4120 CAD) instead of International rate which is 19820 CAD).
My NYSC call-up letter, and PPA posting letter (I am currently a youth corper).
My MDCN Annual Practicing License.
My birth certificate, University degree and Transcript.
Parents' and my 4 siblings' birth certificates.
My retired father's landed property and valuation (I didn't do deed of transfer). Valued at 8m.
My father's RSA statement as at when he retired years ago. Balance was 4m.

I was denied Visa twice in the space of a month last year to go and present one of my research work in New York. Also, I was denied a UK visa this last May to attend the Commonwealth Youth Forum as one of the youth delegates representing Nigeria at the last concluded CHOGM in London. I had another paper to present early last month in London too, however, I couldn't even dare apply for a visa again, so I begged one of my co-authors to make the presentation. He already had a UK visa. I have never travelled out of this country before as an adult so my passport is Virgin.

I didn't pay for Tuition, McGill generally doesn't allow you pay tuition until you have both your CAQ and your Study Permit.

I thank God for His mercies, as I didn't know I will be applying for the study permit until days before that July 26th. But God practically fast-tracked my approval. Thanks to @jnyuwa02 and @frankrobben for their immense contributions to this group. I arranged my documents in a hurry based on their back and forth on this thread from day 1.

If their is anything to learn from this my divine grace, is that no two applications are the same. And to always say the truth too. I explained all my visa denials and I filled in the TB part of the application that I recently managed a patient that was diagnosed of Tuberculosis under my care and I was in close contact with him as his Doctor for weeks. I didn't know how such information could have affected my application, but I couldn't bring myself to lying about such exposure while I was filling the form.

Last last, I Thank God!
Please how did you do the differential fee waiver?

Please somebody should help...it is urgent.
Yesterday night, my keyboard suddenly disappeared, and I got this msg "Unfortunately, google keyboard has stopped" I thought it's a switching off and switching on of a phone thing. So I restarted my phone, now I can't even input my password, not to talk of do something on my phone. I have tried the recovery mode thing "volume up + power button holding, I even tried volume down own and both up and down sef", so I can do a factory reset but it is not working. It is rather powering on my phone the normal way. Now my phone is useless, and it is a phone I use for my business. The phone is infinix hot 2 x510
Investment / Re: A New Swiss Golden Table Now For 75euros (46k Naira) To Make Millions by Ysakaws: 11:53pm On Mar 25, 2017
Hypocrites:
you must bring two people before you go make money o, but they will play down that part, they will say they will assist you in finding the two people, but after you pay, you will realise how gullible you have been
I won't be surprised if you are not a member, and was just told all of these. In my post, did i mention that i will help you get your two. Give me a reason why i should help you get your two when i won't help you spend your millions. To make money, you have to put in money, and work. Only lazy and unserious ones will find this as a big work. Secondly, every team assists in getting two, NOTE that this doesnt mean they will get your two for you, team assist via the group chat to convince anyone you bring in to the group. The convincing is the assistance every team gives, it is your onus to get more people to the group for convincing, until you get your two. So i hope you have a different perception for your misconception now, and stop spreading what you don't know.
