Most Yorubas are really annoyingly funny people though. So they can have Obas in the US and UK but frown at anything realted to Eze Ndi Igbo in Lagos a once capital of Nigeria and a cosmopolitan city.

It's this same people (majority) that would still scream racism at the top of their voices but back home they are pro-tribalist which is no different from Racism.

Mehn! The double standard in Nigeria is as clear as the waters of the Maldives.

These people are not Yoruba immigrants who migrated willingly from Africa after the creation of Nigeria or any other African country bro.. They are indigenous black Americans who happen to be the descendants of the Yoruba slaves whose ancestors were forcefully taken from Africa when we had only different thriving kingdoms in different parts of Africa..

They are not Nigerians.. Apart from America, they have no other place to call home.. So please stop comparing apples and oranges..

What is your country producing and exporting enmasse that will make countries all over the world start demanding for the naira?

If dollar is available at a cheaper rate in the commercial banks, it is only a fool who will buy from Binance P2P or BDCs which are owned by the top guns in the CBN and banking industries hoarding the few dollars available..

The truth of the matter is that Nigeria is not a country but a geographical location comprising of multiple disunited individual units which have no business being together.

How come they found peace displaying their cultural heritage in Brazil without respect to their host

It might interest you to know that the Yorubas there are indigenous Brazilians who even founded a village there known as Oyotunji.

They are like black Americans who are now indigenous to America.. It might also interest you to know that the same way Caucasian Europeans migrated to America from Europe is the same way the black Americans were forcefully sold from Africa against their will..

Today, all their descendants are both owners of America because they do not have any other place to call home unlike the migrant Africans who went there for greener pasture.

If you and I go to Brazil today, we are going to be classified as migrants unlike the indigenous Yoruba Brazilians whose ancestors were forcefully taken from Africa.

kiss Learnt about the high prevalence of twinning here when a friend was @ Baptist facility in the Igbora town some years ago. What a fortunate fest for them. Great bless Mary Scellesor for her persistence towards the eradication of killing twins in Nigeria.

Mary Slessor stopped the killings of twins in some parts of Nigeria and not Yorubaland. In fact, the Yorubas literally worshipped twins because they were believed to have paranormal powers. The birth of twins used to be celebrated more than the birth of a single child.

So it will be the greatest height of ignorance to attribute the evil practices being practiced by a few tribes in Nigeria to every part of Africa before the invasion of the colonial invaders when the cultures and practices are different like night and day.

When Tyson fury said he masturbated 7 times per day to keep his testosterone pumping just to prepare for this fight, people thought he was joking, now they can see the result grin grin grin

Congrats

I had to log in to reply to your post. Who knows, my comment might help someone in the future. If you believe that nonsense Fury said about masturbation, then believe I am the landlord who collects Aso rock rent from the FG every month. What he did is called reverse psychology.

I believe he said it to deceive Wilder or any future opponent to try the same thing during their own preparation. It is just like giving the opposite of your secret to your opponent, and prays he foolishly grabs the bait.

The FACT is, I've studied the lives of accomplished male athletes all over the world through some of their autobiographies, biographies and interviews. There is a recurring theme, most of them stay away from sex before any of their important games. MASTURBATION IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION for a boxer before an important fight. Nothing depletes a boxer's life force, energy and testosterone like masturbation. It makes a boxer weak in the knee. Your stamina is next to zero if you are a chronic masturbator. This is 1% out of the numerous side effects that come with masturbation.

Don't take my word for it. Practice this little exercise yourself as a man. First week, masturbate at least once a day, eat all the good food you can and try and exercise every day, and take all the energy drinks in the world. Note your energy level. 2nd week, don't masturbate, watch porn or have sex for a full week. Eat normal, don't even exercise. Come back and report on your bursting energy level for the 2nd week. Call me a bastard if you don't feel like taking on the world.

You might not believe me. But a deep inner cabal in the world is bent on emasculating the menfolk, and masturbation and pornography is just one of the tools they are employing to create sissy males who can't challenge the status quo, let alone building a new paradigm.

Don't take my word for it. I am not a religious fellow, neither am I a conspiracy theorist. I am just a man who was addicted to pornography and masturbation for 20 years, got liberated, turned his life around, did a lot of deep research on the twin vices, and currently doing my best to help my fellow men still stuck into the dungeon of masturbation and pornography. Have a lovely day.

Dude, please learn to accept and make the best of things and situations you cannot change.

Many women have very wide pussy. But nobody ever shames them directly for having wide pussy. We all take it as nature. Men should also accept their nature.

Do not let women insinuating you have a small Willie get to you. Do a good job with it. You may even meet a girl who will say inside her mind "thank God, this thing is not too big to cause pain".

Some women have boobs like 10, 10 Naira Kpoff Kpoff, some like 5kg bag of rice and that's their nature. Men accept it or leave it.

And the best comment of the thread goes to AreaFada2.

To add to what you've said, I have a cousin who has a huge dick. He used to gist me about his sexcapades when we were together. We used to call him "Ewele" due to his promiscuous and careless lifestyle. Most of the girls he got intimate with were runs girls, "normal girls" with multiple body counts or outright sex workers and they never complained about his big size because those girls have seen it all. But the day he was lucky to get down with a homely or decent girl, can you believe that this cousin of mine could not penetrate this lady despite the fact that she was not a virgin? My cousin said she was so tight down there that she kept screaming in pain each time he attempted to do the do. It was just like deflowering a girl for the first time.

Like you said, the OP should not allow the wideness of a girl make him feel insecure about his size. He should go for the kinds of rare girls who gave my cousin a tough time and not the average olosho who might be too wide for him no thanks to years of excessive drilling, mileage and different sizes of drillers.

Stop trampling on the spiritual beliefs of your ancestors or what you know absolutely nothing about. My friend, this world is very complicated. The last time I checked, Ayelala spiritual system is just one out of the thousands, if not millions of spiritual beliefs on earth, and they don't claim or profess to be the most potent one, even though it might be working for its adherents.

Mind you, it is a known secret that most of those top colonial/missionary guys from Europe were members of Freemason and other notable spiritual lodges in their home countries. The fact that they hide under Christianity to perpetrate their atrocities on less developed economies doesn't mean they were not spiritually fortified themselves, not forgetting their more advanced technology.

Like someone pointed above, one could also ask the question, "where was the Christian God when Boko Haram was busy killing Christians left, right, and center?" It took the intervention of the Nigerian Army to stem the tide. Using your logic, can we infer that the Nigerian Army is greater than the Christian God? Unless you are an atheist who believes only in the material realm, learn to respect other people's spiritual beliefs as long as they are not trampling on the right of others.

naptu2:

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. Yesterday was quite a hectic day.

I have always said that the biggest problem with Nigerian football is not the players or the coaches, but the administration. Poor administration is the biggest thing that has held Nigerian football back. There was absolutely no reason to frustrate Florence Omagbemi out of the job.

Florence Omagbemi was not sacked to make way for Thomas Dennerby. Rather, the NFF and the Sports Ministry failed to do their job, which was to take care of the welfare of the team that won the 2016 AWCON in Cameroon. The players consequently staged a protest in Abuja. Some NFF officials blamed her for the protest. They accused her of failing to control the players.

https://www.completesports.com/nff-dilemma-appointment-super-falcons-coach/

It is quite obvious to all sensible people that the NFF and the Sports Ministry were the cause of that protest and it makes no sense to blame Omagbemi for it. The players are adults and they know when they are being maltreated.

https://guardian.ng/sport/omagbemi-celebrated-by-fifa-rejected-by-nff/

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/10/laloko-blasts-nff-omagbemis-sacking/

The NFF subsequently frustrated her out of the job. They had promised to renew her contract if she won the 2016 AWCON, but they allowed the contract to lapse. In fact, they were owing her and her assistants a lot of money in unpaid salaries and allowances. Many months later, they asked her and other coaches to reapply for the job and they used this to frustrate her out of the job.

Contrast Omagbemi's situation with the case of Desiree Ellis. She played for Banyana Banyana at about the same time that Omagbemi played for the Super Falcons. They both met again (this time as coaches) when the Super Falcons beat South Africa in the semi-final of the 2016 AWCON. Since then the NFF has frustrated Omagbemi out of the job, while SAFA and SASOL (Banyana Banyana's sponsor) have given Ellis everything that she needs to succeed and she has become the first coach to qualify Banyana Banyana for the World Cup.

The NFF was divided over whether to appoint Edwin Okon (who was coach of the team at the 2015 World Cup) or to appoint a foreigner as coach after Omagbemi had been forced out of the job.

Like I said earlier, Omagbemi was not sacked to make way for Dennerby. In fact, the NFF announced Randy Waldrum as coach of the Falcons in 2017. However, the poor administration that I spoke about earlier wrecked that deal.

The NFF announced Waldrum as the new coach without reaching any agreement with him. They merely spoke to him on the phone and then they did not contact him for 3 months after that telephone conversation and so Waldrum abandoned the Super Falcons job and took up a position as coach of the University of Pittsburgh.

https://www.thecable.ng/nff-randy-waldrum-super-falcons

The NFF eventually hired Thomas Dennerby, primarily because he had coached Sweden to the 3rd place in the 2011 Women's World Cup.

I believe that the issue with Thomas Dennerby is quite similar to the issues we had with Manfred Horner in 1988 and Philippe Trousier in 1997. You can have a good foreign coach, but the issue is, will the coach understand our style of football? Will the players understand the way that the coach wants them to play?

I won't take the 2018 AWCON into account because we had a terrible preparation for the tournament. However, for once, the NFF has got it right with the preparation for this World Cup. The Falcons beat Slovakia 4-3, lost to Belgium 0-1, lost to Austria 1-4 and beat Thailand 3-0 at the Cyprus Cup. They lost to China 0-3 and beat Romania 4-1 at the China Invitational Tournament. Then they lost 1-2 to Canada and beat Selfoss (an Icelandic club) 6-1.

They are currently at a two weeks closed camp and they will play more friendlies while in camp. The big question is, will this time together enable the players to understand how the coach wants them to play??

Regarding the situation with the captainship, luckily the two players involved, Onome Ebi and Rita Chikwelu, are very mature players. I don't think that they will create any problems (remember how well they handled the issue of being co-captains). I'm not sure how other players will react to the situation.

Thomas Dennerby strikes me as a logic machine. He has made two decisions that I won't have made, but I can understand why he made them.

Why did he make Desire Oparanozie the captain? He said that he wants a captain that will play always and that Oparanozie gets along very well with the other players.

My interpretation is this. Onome Ebi is the oldest player in the team (she's 36) and she had a long injury lay off 2 years ago. I guess that he believes that she won't have the stamina to play all the time. I don't agree with him, because she was our best player at the 2018 AWCON and I remember how she rolled back the years to mark Thembi Kgatlana (a much younger and very fast player) in the final, but I can understand where he is coming from.

It's quite similar to the issue with Courtney Dike. She's one of my favourite players, but I knew that her position in the team was shaky way back in October/November 2018. She played for Nigeria at the 2014 Under 20 World Cup and at the 2015 senior World Cup, then it seemed like she disappeared. She didn't play for Nigeria at the 2016 AWCON.

Then she reappeared and played in the friendly against France in mid-2018 and then vanished again. She was invited to the Falcons camp in Epe ahead of the 2018 AWCON, but she didn't show up in camp and no explanation was given for her absence. I had been trying to find out what clubside she was playing for since January 2018, but I couldn't find any link between her and a clubside. That's what led me to investigate her situation and I found this.

https://www.nairaland.com/4875509/courtney-dike-now-certified-public

So, apparently she now plays football part-time. I guessed that Thomas Dennerby, being a logic machine, would pick a full-time player over a part-time player and that's what he did.

How the heck did I miss this robust response despite coming to Nairaland everyday? Welldone sir.

Please I want you to answer my second question. I am really curious.

Teach you how to build television? No sir. Technology transfer does not happen on a platter of gold anywhere in the world. Do you know the implication of that? They will simply destroy their market share in Nigeria and other African countries if they do that. What needs to be done is to set up technological research institutes and hubs that will begin to dismantle the existing ones and attempt to replicate the exact copy cats of the foreign ones. That is how great nations like Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan started before they became the giants that they are today. With consistent practice, we will become perfect.

It takes a lot of time, funding and energy to become a technological powerhouse. Nobody will reveal their technological secrets to you just like that.

Question is, did this team ever play a good game, starting with their match against Norway which they could have easily won down to this one. They were abysmal especially against France and Germany. Even before the penalty was awarded did they look like they posed any threat to the Germans? They just came into a knock out match and sat down to defend against a very potent attacking side without any concrete attacking plan. How do u expect to progress to the next stage if u don't score, and how can u score if u don't show any ambition to attack. Point if, if a team adopts a defensive approach, then they must simultaneously perfect their counter attacking mechanism if they want to stand any chance of getting a win. Thats what is done worldwide, as exemplified between inter and barca in 2010 UCL knock out. But all we saw in this disastrous falcons team was one which went totally defensive, and whenever they were LUCKY to get the ball, they just throw it away aimlessly. Even a mumu would tell from the start of the game that such a team can never progress to the next stage. Nigerians are just unnecesarily sentimental. They cant tell themselves the truth, thats why our teams keep going out there and failing to perform, because even when they play nonsense we clap for them, and so they would have the audacity to go out and repeat such nonsense performance. This is a team that has been in this fifa women's world cup since 1999. Thats enough time for us to have made significant progress at this level of the competition, rather than coming to this competition, playing rubbish and having sycophants hail and praise them! This is about the worst falcons team i've ever witnessed! At least other falcons team go out and attack, and when they lose they lose gallantly, and not cowardly like these bunch of unambitious players!

Nice submission devoid of any form of sentiments. Just wanted to correct something. The Super Falcons have been participating in the FIFA Women's world cup since 1991 and not 1999. We used to be the sole African representative before the likes of South Africa and Cameroon started catching up with us. This year makes it TWENTY EIGHT YEARS of playing at the global stage. We started playing the game at the global stage with the likes of Germany, Norway, China and the United States. If after 28 years, we are still not rubbing shoulders with the big names, we don't have any excuse whatsoever.

naptu2, kudos to you for a job well done.

I have been a long time enthusiast of female football right from the days of Ismaila Mabo and the first Nations' cup in Abeokuta. But of recent, I've not been impressed with the evolution of female football in Nigeria over the years. We seem to be taking 2 steps forward and 4 steps backward, forget our dominance on the African scene.

I am not a natural pessimist, but I don't see us going past our traditional position of group stage at the mundial as usual. This is no thanks to our oyinbo coach who seems to lack the knowledge of African female football. As crude as Ismaila Mabo coaching techniques looked like, he had one thing going for him. He understood the nitty-gritty of African female football. Apart from discovering most of the girls of his era, he knew them in and out. He really understood their strengths and weaknesses. He knew who to play in what position, and who and who to combine together. He really brought out the best in those girls.

I believe with patience, time, and the right international grade A coaching exposure, not forgetting non-stop quality friendly matches every now and then, Florence Omagbemi would not only have equalled Mabo's records but surpassed them in flying colours. It still beats me till date how an Omagbemi could be dropped for a Dennerby despite winning her first Nation's cup in style. I guess it is down to our worship of anything foreign at the expense of ours irrespective of the quality.

Sir, please I have 2 questions for you:

(I) Don't you think stripping a veteran like Onome Ebi of the captain's armband and giving it to Oparanozie could affect the morale, bonding and spirit of the team ahead of the world cup? Personally, I think this singular action tells negatively on the man-management skill of the coach. It would have been understandable if Onome was incompetent or indisciplined. To make matters worse, she even stood out as the best player in the mediocre squad that won the last Awcon unconvincingly.

(II) I have been following you on Nairaland for a very long time. Looking at the quality of your posts, especially when reporting female football, are you a professional sport journalist or just a female football enthusiast?

Keep up the good work sir.

Like I said, I blame the NFF. It's like they forgot that the Super Falcons existed after they won the cup in Cameroon.

They frustrated the coach out of the job, we had no friendlies or training sessions and all the while teams like South Africa and Ghana were playing all over the world.

I complained on Nairaland a few months ago and someone said, "It doesn't matter. We'll still win anyway". Well, see what has happened.

On point bro. Amaju Pinnick thought we could extend our dominance in female football to the global stage by hiring a greenhorn just because he is a foreigner. Our love for anything foreign irrespective of the quality is crazy. I can stake it that with the right preparation and motivation, any average Nigerian coach can do better than this.

Way forward: If we must regain our dominance in Africa and most importantly extend it to the global stage, we need to hire a foreign veteran probably from U. S, Japan, China or Norway, and preferably a female who can impact in our girls the modern techniques of the game. For the long run development plan,we need to invest heavily in the female league by bringing in the private sector players, not forgetting catch them young programmes from primary to secondary schools. There is nothing wrong in having female football academies for girls all over the country. This can be done if the NFF can partner with the successful and established footballers.

For the short term solution, the NFF should organize top-flight friendlies for the ladies from time to time. It doesn't matter if we get battered 8 nill or more all the time. I believe with time, with a veteran female coach who knows what she(note the emphasis on "she"wink is doing, we will begin to catch up with the big wigs on the global stage.

Ghana defeated Algeria 1-0

and

Mali lost to Cameroon 1-2

In the first games of the tournament.

Predictable scoreline. The only difference is that whooping margins are reducing in African female football. The weaker teams are fast catching up with the bigger ones which is extremely good for the development of the game.
