Dear NLanders, something has got me puzzled for long. sometimes, I don't understand why our bureaucracy is not so swift and efficient especially as regard rendering services that mainly concern the masses. Reticence and tokenism have bedevilled our system of governance in this country. that's my perception
For a year and some months now, the National ID that I applied for has not been given to me. But I remembered when Mr. president came on board around May last year, he was registered before the press , within two months of registration, he was given his before the cameramen; all in the name that NIMC is working. is that not tokenism?
pls, has any one in this forum received his or her own. pls, when did you apply. I want to know whether am the only one left by NIMC? Thanks for your response.
I received mine two months after registration at ojo local government lagos state Nigeria.. you don't just jump into conclusion.. most ppl I know have gotten theirs

LASG Installs Heliport In LASUTH To Tackle Medical Emergency Cases
Posted: 22/Feb/2016
Lagos State Government has installed a modern heliport of international standard at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to make the landing of helicopters responding to medical emergency cases safe and easy.

The chief medical director, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Dr Wale Oke, who disclosed this at the weekend said the state government had also concluded plans to install a helicopter evacuation system in the hospital.

According to him, the trial run of the emergency landing of the helicopter in the hospital located in Ikeja area of the state was designed to move patients from different locations to the hospital when required.

Oke added that the trial run carried out last Friday was to identify possible challenges that could occur when landing the helicopter and how to proffer solutions.

“What we did was a trial run to see the challenges that will be faced by the pilot when he tries to land the helicopter in front of the Surgical Emergency Department. We have identified all the problems and solutions have been proferred.

“The state government is using extra budgetary funds to put up a modern heliport of international standard that will cater for these needs.

“Some of the problems that have been identified can be addressed with the removal of some poles and cutting down of trees.

“Some physical structures will also have to be adjusted to meet subsequent needs,” he added.

walemadu:
Honestly i really did not want to pen this down but since the growing sensationalisim of the Olamide and Don Jazzy beef over an unnecessary music award issue I will have to say this for the record. It is a shame that Olamide has refused to change from an area-tout to someone who understands what music is really about. In case the new year hangover has finally cleared from his head he should be reminded that he and Don Jazzy are not mates and he should find a way to live with that.

Calling out a Father and colossus in African and world music and spilling vituperation that even someone who has been clinically proven as insane will hesitate to do simple shows how low and uninspiring he is.

Olamide is a no-mention as far as quality music is concerned. Who exactly is Olamide? What is his antecedence? Just because you have an army of illiterate touts and scumbags that appreciate your music doesnt make you one. It's a big shame that olamide has remained unrefined despite is experiences with top guns in the music industry.

Let us ask ourselves what exactly does Olamide and his YBNL shit-cliq represent? Is it his music where all he talks about is drugs, alcohol with the always familiar embellishment of sexual sensationalism? what is his intellectual and lyrical worth? Olamide is exactly what the Nigerian youth that has his eyes set on the future should have to affiliation with.

When we thought that the era of 'areaboisim' and 'agberoism' will soon be over and our youths will creatively forge ahead to make Nigeria great, Olamide came along... what a shame! I have always been amazed when i see some people enjoying Olamide songs but when i look at them closely i'm not surprised... like-minds will think alike.

Olamide only has perfect timing, the widespread, growing youth illiteracy and reality escapism and cheap music softwares to thank for his newly found local fame but that is still no reason for him to bark at a big dog in the game. Pound for pound Olamide is a runt compared to Don Jazzy.
Olamide should as a matter of all necessity make a public apology to Don Jazzy lest the gods of music strike him and make him a prisoner of history this 2016.

I rest my case.

Zoharariel:
The ugly truth is; the Nigerian Army is not to be blamed over the shiite massacre. We all watched the video where the shiite miscreants had a violent confrontation with the convoy of the COAS. To make matter worse, they were saying only Mallam (i.e Sheik Zakzaky) could order them to give way. The question is; who tha f.uck is Sheik Zakzaky in Nigeria? Since when did Nigeria turn to Lebanon or Iran? If an ordinary local imam could waylay a whole COAS in a secular Nation like Nigeria, and on a road built by the FG, then the Ayatollah of Iran had just been sworn in as the new President of Nigeria.

Instead of the foolish Sheik to chastise his miscreants & call them to order, they were bent on committing suicide by clashing with a standing Army over some religious myth & lies, watered & propagated by a blatant liar who claimed to have received some mind-boggling & brainwashing revelations from Angel Gabriel a.k.a Elohim Nusku - who coincidentally happened to be 1 of the Anunnaki extraterrestrials that came to Earth from the Planet of Nibiru.

Africa is really doomed and we will never acknowledge the immense damage that religion has done to brainwash & transform our people into humanoid robots & zombies - Nna Mehn, I'm outta here!
you are so dumb... where did you get the video of the shiite barricading the road.... moreover always say things with proof... stupendous ignoramus...
