The Ekpeye Regent In-Council hereby expresses dismay and utmost disappointment over the odious drama trending online over the Stool of Eze Ekpeye Logbo.
The uninformed decision orchestrated by some individuals that passes as "Owhor Holders" is condemned. It follows that the rumour of the purported declaration of the Eze Ekpeye Logbo Stool vacant and subsequent naming of a "new Eze Ekpeye Logbo" is of no consequence; it is a nulity. It is an undisputed fact that the Eze Ekpeye Logbo Stool is not hereditary. An occupant of the Stool emerge through a delegate election and delegates are drawn from across all the Igbu (Kingdoms) that make up the Ekpeye Ethnic Nation. Consequently, the winner is presented to the public for coronation. It is however highly preposterous and disheartening that some persons would become hysteria and acting desperate to thwart the age-long custom and tradition of the Ekpeye people.
The action of the "Owhor Holders" is tantamount to unholy act and encouraging false claim as neither an individual nor single Igbu can select, elect or name a substantive Eze Ekpeye Logbo. The trending rumour fell below any responsible and acceptable action.
The Regent In-Council view the action of the "Owhor Holders" as an attempt to balkanize Ekpeye and trigger a resurgence of unscalable crisis. Therefore, it is imperative to warn against the furtherance of this charade because if allowed to stand, it would distort known history.

Osun State Government, on Thursday, directed all primary and secondary schools in the state to proceed on Christmas and New Year break, starting from Friday.

This was contained in a Public Service Announcement signed by the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Education, K. Olaniyan.

The government stated that the decision to shut down both private and public schools was for safety reasons without indicating the resumption date.

There have been safety concerns over the rising cases of COVID-19 recorded in the state.

The announcement read in part, “The Government of the State of Osun has directed that all primary and secondary schools (private and public) should proceed on Christmas and New year break tomorrow – December 18, 2020.

“The government places a high premium on the safety of our citizens generally and students in particular hence this proactive preventive measure.

“Resumption date will be communicated as soon as it’s safe to resume in the new year.”

Every day, Christians in their hundreds of millions make the sign of the Cross and think they are performing an act of faith pleasing to God. But is that really what we are doing?

I had heard and read about the true origins of the Cross, and in 2019, I travelled to Ethiopia to celebrate Meskel, which is a celebration of the discovery of the true Cross in Ethiopian orthodox Christianity.

I am a truth seeker, and I wanted to get to the truth no matter whose religious feathers are ruffled. I was told that if I wanted to get to the bottom of the mystery behind the Cross, then Israel and Ethiopia were not the best starting point. I was directed to Egypt, and off I went.
I engaged the services of a licensed ancient Egyptian historian and we began investigating. And that was when I discovered the Ankh.
So, how does the Ankh concern Christ and the Cross?

The Ankh is an ancient Egyptian mystical symbol used to represent life. It is most commonly seen being held by Ancient Egyptian gods and was given by them to Pharaohs as an assurance that they (the gods) would sustain the Pharaoh’s life in the afterlife.

The Ankh can be found in the temples and tombs of virtually every ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, and I saw them with my own eyes at Tutankhamun’s tomb. Do note that Tutankhamun lived 1300 years before Christ came to Earth.

One of the things that will shock many people is the fact that Christ did not die on a Cross. Scripture never said so. I can see you getting agitated. Christ existed. He is the Son of God. He lived, died and resurrected as a propitiation for our sins, and there is no way to God EXCEPT through Christ.
I did NOT say The Bible never said Christ died on The Cross. It does. I said the SCRIPTURES never said so. The Bible is a TRANSLATION of the Holy Scriptures.

The word used in Scripture is Tree. The original word used in the original Greek Scripture is staurō, which may mean a pole, or a stake, or the word xylou, which means tree.

The ONLY Old Testament Scripture that prophesied the way Christ would die (Deuteronomy 21:23), uses the Hebrew word הָעֵ֗ץ (spelt in Roman alphabets as hā-‘êṣ) which is the Hebrew word for tree.

Believe it or not, for the first 200 years of the Church, the Cross was NOT a Christian symbol. The Christian symbol was actually a fish, in reference to Christ’s words in Matthew 4:19 “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Please do not take my word for it. Research it.

Everywhere you see the word ‘Cross’ in The New Testament, you are reading a word that is translated from either staurō or xylou. I encourage you to use a Greek dictionary to find out the meaning of both words. In fact, in the KJV, the translators sometimes forgot to use the ‘official’ word, Cross, and instead used the proper word, tree in Acts 5:30, Acts 10:39, Acts 13:29, Galatians 3:13, and 1 Peter 2:24.
So, where did the Cross originate from? I urge you to look at the attached picture of the Theban Trinity of ancient Egyptian demon gods (consisting of Amun, his consort Mut and their son Khonsu).

What are they each holding in their right hands? I urge you to note that these papyrus paintings are over 3000 years old. In Exodus 20:4, Scripture says we must not make an image of anything on Earth or in heaven or under the Earth.

That is why Christ and His disciples and the early Church did not use a Cross, whether with or without the image of Christ on it. The usage of the Cross and the Crucifix came from the Roman Emperor, Constantine, who was a pagan and claimed to have converted to Christianity. Thus began the introduction of The Trinity and The Cross into Christianity. Both of which, the Romans and Greeks copied from the ancient Egyptians, not from Scripture.

It is an undisputed fact that Christ did not die on a Cross. It is an undeniable fact that the Ankh predated the Cross. It is an indisputable fact that Christ asked us to teach believers “to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you”-Matthew 28:20.
So, my question is who taught us to observe the Cross, and to make the sign of the Cross, and to put it in our places of worship? Certainly not God or His Son.

You will never read an account of anybody making the sign of the Cross or putting a Cross in a church or synagogue in Scripture. I challenge you to search the Scriptures. I am a man of known financial means, and I covenant to give $10,000 to anyone who can show me anywhere in Scripture where the sign of the Cross or the Cross was used by Christ or His disciples.

It is time for us to purge Christianity of pagan practices and that is why after prayer and fasting, I felt led to travel to Israel, Greece, Spain (Montserrat to see the Black Madonna), Rome, The Vatican, Ethiopia, and Egypt, to gather first-hand knowledge about the true faith that Christ brought to Earth.
We must be like the Berean believers, of whom Scripture said “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and SEARCHED the SCRIPTURES daily, whether those things were so.”-Acts 17:11.

Notice that they searched the Scriptures. They did not just swallow everything Paul told them hook, line and sinker.

It is that important. Nothing is more important to me than chasing down the truth about God because Christ said in John 4:24 that “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” If we are adopting pagan mystical practices, how can we be said to worship God in spirit and in truth.”?

My life, my money, my possessions and my time is not as important to me as my God. I believe that if mainstream religion clashes with God, a true believer must choose God. If work time and God time clash, a true believer must choose God. If politics and God clash, a true believer must choose God. If football and God clash, a true believer must choose God. If friends demands and God’s requirement clash, a true believer must choose God. If popularity and God clash, a true believer must choose God.

So, while I know that what I am writing will not be popular, I must say it, because Scripture says “we are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”-2 Corinthians 5:20.

To me, this is the only way I know how to worship God in spirit and in truth and I urge all my readers not to take my words at face value, but to be like the Berean Christians and “search the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

We must pay close attention to what Scripture says. Scripture like 1 Timothy 4:1 which reads as follows:
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” How can we have a symbol in churches whose origin is clearly of Ancient Egyptian mystical origins, and we are not asking questions? Some people privately message me and urge me to tread with caution, lest the establishment quietly kills me. But even that warning assumes that I am afraid of death. I am not scared of death. Not at all. What do I want to achieve in life that God has not given me, often on a platter of gold? If I, who has been so blessed by God, cannot risk my life against the establishment for Him, then I am of all men most useless!

2 Chronicles 16:9 says “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”
My body is imperfect towards God. I am a sinner. I freely confess that. But my heart is wholly devoted to God. I have no doubt in my heart that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God and Father of my Lord and Saviour, Yeshua Hamashiach, is the ONLY TRUE God.
If I am killed doing what I believe He is leading me to do, then that death will be the sweetest death possible and I have no fear in my heart if it has to come.

We cannot just go along to get along. We must interrogate every aspect of our religion to make sure that it has complete fidelity to Scripture. After all, it is the same Scripture that warns us to “believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”-1 John 4:1.

Every information that does not lead to transformation is entertainment. Do not just read this and be entertained. Read this and be spurred on to get to the bottom of your faith. You owe it to yourself because on the last day of Judgment, every man will independently give an account of his life before God who tries the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16 says “All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Note the word Scripture. Not Bible (translation of Scripture).
That Masons, and Rosicrucians dominated the translation of Scripture into the King James Version of The Bible is a historic fact. Research it. Sir Francis Bacon, who was Lord High Councillor to King James I, was a Rosicrucian. That is a historical fact. The word Rosicrucian simply means "Order of the Rosy Cross". He picked many of the KJV translators.

It was their agenda to promote the Cross. The Cross plays a mystical role in their occult world. Many of those appointed into the committee that translated Scripture into KJV were Masons. That is a historical fact. And even Masons themselves regard the KJV as “The Great Light of Masonry”.
What is the evilest regime that ever existed on Earth. That would be NAZI Germany. What was their state symbol? You would say a Swastika. And you would be wrong. That is a Hindu word that those outside NAZI Germany used to describe their symbol. The NAZIs called their symbol a Hakenkreuz, which is German for Hooked Cross. It is a known fact that the NAZIs were deeply steeped in the occult.

Scripture tells us not to be “be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”-Romans 12:2.

What better way to fulfil the above Scripture than to read Scripture in its original language and “conform” to it? If the original Scripture does not mention the word ‘Cross’, and instead uses the word tree, then who are we conforming with by arguing for and propagating the lie that Christ was killed on a Cross? Certainly not God. Certainly not Scripture.

Why can we as Christians not learn from Muslims by learning and reading Scripture in the original language? I know of 7-year-old Muslims who can read and recite the Quran in Arabic. Why can we not have adult Christians who can read and recite the Holy Scripture in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek? That is why I respect Apostle Johnson Suleman. He not only taught himself Greek. He went to Greece and stayed in a commune and read the original Scripture in its original language 34 good times!

There are some people who say this does not affect salvation. Really? The introduction of occult symbols into Christianity does not affect salvation? Then why does 1 Peter 1:16 say “Be holy, because I am holy”?

The gunmen who kidnapped an American citizen in southern Niger issued a ransom demand Wednesday for his release, a local official said.

The hostage, Philip Walton, described as the son of a missionary living in Niger, was abducted Monday night by six men armed with Kalashnikovs on the outskirts of Massalata, a village about 10 kilometers (six miles) from the border with Nigeria.

“The kidnappers phoned the man’s father and demanded a ransom,” said Ibrahim Abba Lele, prefect of the Birni Nkonni department, which includes Massalata.

The US State Department said Tuesday it was aware of an American citizen abducted in Niger.

“We are providing their family all possible consular assistance,” it said.

Niger’s interior ministry indicated Wednesday in a statement read on national radio that the kidnappers had searched their victim’s home before fleeing “to the border area” after seizing him.

Security reinforcements have been sent to the area, and efforts with the US and Nigerian security services are underway to secure the release of the captured man, it added.

On Tuesday, a man named Bruce Walton told local radio station Niyya that his son Philip Walton had been kidnapped from his home by armed men.

Criminal gangs and cattle thieves often kidnap for ransom, and young Fulani herders make up many of the marauding gangs in northern Nigeria and other West African countries.

Niger also faces attacks by the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram on its southeastern borders.

In addition to deadly raids, Boko Haram has increasingly carried out cross-border ransom kidnappings.

The Supreme Court has struck out a suit filed by the Bayelsa state government over the disputed Soku oilfield belonging to Rivers State.

The apex court said by seeking for it to make Judicial pronouncement on a matter that the Court of Appeal has not even ruled on, the Bayelsa state government was liable of abuse of court processes.

Bayelsa State government had approached the Supreme Court after a Federal High Court in Abuja ordered it to refund the 13 percent derivation it had received over the years from disputed Soku oilfield, to Rivers State.

At the resumed hearing of the matter on Tuesday, Justice Ngwuta, who led a panel of 7 justices, wondered why the Bayelsa State government decided to file a suit at the apex court, whereas steps were being taken to challenge the judgement of the Federal High Court at the Court of Appeal.

Justice Ngwuta observed that the Bayelsa State government was jumping the gun and its action was tantamount to abuse of court process. He asserted that there was no way the Supreme Court can make pronouncement on a judgment that was given by a Federal High Court when the appellate court has not done so.

He explained that the Supreme Court does not have jurisdiction on a matter relating to a High Court. To this end, he directed the Bayelsa State government to take its grievances to the Court of Appeal.

It was on the basis that the counsel to the Bayelsa State government, Kemsauode Wodu, applied for a formal withdrawal of the suit and it was struck out by the Supreme Court.

It will be recalled that Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, while delivering judgement in Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/984/19,filed by Attorney-General of Rivers State against the National Boundary Commission, based on documents from relevant government agencies , had declared that the Soku oilfields belong to Rivers State.

Ekwo had noted that the failure and refusal of the National Boundary Commission to rectify the admitted mistake in the 11th edition of the administrative map of Nigeria since 2002 which erroneously showed St Batholomew River instead of River Santa Barbara as the interstate Boundary between Rivers and Bayelsa States ,was a breach of commission’s statutory duty and a flagrant disobedience of the order of the Supreme Court contained in its judgment delivered on 10/7/2012 in Suit Number SC. 106 /2009.

The judge explained that the continued reliance on the said defective 11th edition of the administrative map of Nigeria by the other government agencies/statutory bodies, particularly, the Revenue Mobilisation , Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Accountant General of the Federation in the computation of revenue accruable to Rivers State from the Federation Account has resulted in the continued unjust denial of derivation funds accruing from the Soku oil wells situate within Rivers State to the detriment of the State Government.

Justice Ekwo then directed that notice be served of the decision of the Court on the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Accountant General of the Federation.

The judge said the National Boundary Commission cannot unilateral delineate boundaries between Rivers State and Bayelsa State after the Supreme Court judgment on the matter and also dismissed an objection to the suit raised by the National Boundary Commission because it lacked merit.
