Adeshina and Sanusi are the best candidates for the highest political positions in this nation. |
Since I have been born and even now, I have never seen the righteous forsaken. What you think is foolishness on your part now is actually a very fertile seed. When you'll begin to see the results, you'll think you've been struck by a luck spell. The only obstacle to reaping the benefits is expressing regrets for doing the right thing. If you're not selected because of your righteous deed, perhaps, that place is not for you. Take delight in the fact that you chose to please the "Almighty" and not personal cravings. Be as faithful as you used to be to God. Always remember that obedience to God may be costly but the end product is priceless. May God help us. |
You are a bloody fool. It is people like you that will refuse to introduce your mum to your friends just because she is not like theirs not minding you owe her everything you are and would be. Be proud of your own even if occasional siblings jibes ( tribal and ethnic disagreements) occur. sacajawea: |
Fantastic analysis. What you fail to mention however is how fluid A.J can be. If you've studied the trajectory of AJ bouts, you'll find the guy come up with different approach for each fight. He knows exactly what he needs to do to make the challenger either kiss the canvass or ineffective in the ring. That's the intelligent part of Joshua that is missing in most boxers today. He realized his error in the first fight with Ruiz, learned from it and gave a masterful performance in the second. For a person who can design a game plan and skillfully execute same as much as AJ does, it will be awfully terrible for opponents to risk undermining him. You need to see how Otto Wallin wobbled Fury in the penultimate fight before the Wilder fight ( the guy is half his size o). To his credit though, he recovered very quickly and dished out some serious beating to Wallin. Ultimately, I think this will go down to how much of a good student you are in this sweet science called boxing. So, because of AJ's raw power and his ability to execute everything he'll learn in training, I think he'll come out tops against Fury. My submission- Joshua 60%, Fury % 40%. The first will be a 10th round knockout for A.J. the second would be a split decision also in A . J favour. quote author=Jaycobbs post=97731451]AJ is an unpredictable fighter. One of the things that makes him dangerous is that he has no set fighting tactic that opponent can observe and fight against. He could come at you with heavy punches or fancy footwork. Fury is also a formidable fighter. He's very, very fast. He has great upper body movement. Watch his fights. You'll see him avoiding blows while standing face to face with his opponent, and without bringing his arms up in defence. He'll twist and turn under everything. He's also one hell of a tactician. We can see how he readjusted his fighting skill, second time around with Wilder. Make no mistake about it. Wilder was as dangerous as advertised, and his "get-out-of-jail" right-hand doesn't have a match. What Fury succeeded in doing was make that right hand useless by fighting in close range with Wilder (the right hand is a long-range weapon and Wilder uses it by allowing it to gather momentum, before it crashes down on the head of his opponents). Fury also knocked Wilder down several times, which hadn't ever happened in Wilder's career. There are both physical and psychological effects to that. Fury spent a good amount of time in the second fight leaning his body weight on Wilder, and depleting his energy reserves considerably. Add to the fact that the stupid Wilder had worn a 40-pound bronze costume before the fight -- unnecessary weight he didn't need. I'm breaking down the Wilder-Fury fight because it shows Fury at his best. It would be detrimental to dismiss Fury as babbling idiot. He plays and preys on his opponents psychologically with talks like this before every match. And it has worked for him Even though Fury is not as decorated as AJ, I respect him very much. AJ is good. Very good. And unpredictable, which is an advantage. But I'll still put the odds on Fury, 55% to AJ's 45%.
|
This is a case of any rope will do if you're prepare to hang your dog. How is pastor W. F Kumuyi directly responsible for your ordeal? That some Judas Iscariot elements misbehaved does not confer on anyone the right to cast opprobrium on the church's leadership. |
EagleNest:Mr man. Let me quickly point out that I'm one of the most detribalised Nigerian around. I grow up in an Igbo dominated community. I have been to, and lived in a number of Eastern states. My immediate elder sister is married to an Igbo man. The point is that my submission is not influenced by personal prejudice against the Igbos. It is based on facts observed over time. Most of my friends are Igbos and I dare say I have genuine reason to question their fidelity when money matter arises between us. The same person you had a throaty laughter with the previous day will suddenly become a monster when issues of money arises. That is not to say that only the Igbos are guilty of this. But one particular tribe where this is widespread is among the Igbos. Rather than argue with me, I'll advise you to begin a sensitization of your people, starting with yourself and your family. Cause as a long as this persist, the unity which the Igbos need to achieve their dream of a Biafran nation or even rule this country will continue to remain in the pipe. |
BruncleZuma:Hope you are not trying to justify this barbaric act. I don't think she is trying to gain anything other bring to our notice how sick some cultural practice are. Greed permeate every fiber of an average igbo man's nature. Over emphasis on monetary success as a yardstick for measuring how much respect and dignity you get is the main reason why they hate one another so much. Anything to earn that respect is considered good even if it brings pain to others. They say Yoruba and Hausa are jealous of them because of their commercial successes across the country. But an average Yoruba and Hausa is more United than the Igbos can ever be. A saying among the Yoruba has it that" Owo ma tan, Eyan Loma kun' . Translated roughly, good relationship is more valuable than wealth. Igos need to learn that money is not everything. |
Gerrard59:Oga chill. FDI is only good if it is not motivated solely by selfish motive. Fine, Nigerians get employed in these multinationals other than that, nothing else. You need to see how they downsize without warning while not minding the piecemeal they pay as salary. If you think i'm making it up, ask those who have worked in MTN, Multi choice and other South African franchises in Naija. Also how many of these companies are listed on the NSE so that you and I who buy from them could at least benefit from them somehow somehow. It took a lot of fang baring by the Nigerian government to compel MTN to get listed on the NSE. Call me anti South African but if any country wants to get anything from Nigeria it shouldn't be those bloody ingrates. They kill our people for frivolous reasons and they dare come to our country and take from us without giving back? The era of diplomatic father Christmas is over. The USA and UK etc who do same can be excused on the realizations that we get huge aids and grants from them yearly. And before you say they buy oil from us, i need point out that our oil is in high demand all over the world (pre covid 19 era and I believe even after). Its low sulphur content and our proximity to their country is something that their industrial complex depends upon. So we are doing them much good as they do us in that regard. |
Good riddance. So you expect to repatriate all the profit made in Nigeria to that xenophobic haven without any restriction from the government. You must be mad! Nigeria and Nigerians first. |
Your palaver is a common case these days. To a larger degree, the disunity that is now common in most families of today is traceable to two factors- the Innate jealous nature of man and the warped prophesy of dubious clergymen. Jealousy sets in when one or very few members of a family are progressing while many others are not. This naturally creates bad blood and jealousy. The unsuccessful ones see the successful ones as not better than them and wonders why they should be the ones succeeding and not them. This scenario is made a lot more worse when the successful ones happen to be arrogant and try to appropriate all the respect to themselves even at the expense of those much older than them in the family. Normally, a sensible man should see others success as a promoter for him to work harder or do things better. Over here, what most people do is consult spiritualists - Alfa, Pastors or some weird looking baba who, rather than tell them the truth about doubling their hustle, would come up with warped up prophesy that the successful ones are behind their misfortunes. This not only fire up the hatred, it raises it to the power of infinity. Religion is expected to naturally improve relationship among people. I'm pressed to say however, that our own version of religion- especially our interpretation of Christianity and Islam is seriously promoting division and fueling the ambers of hatred in families today. |
nlPoster:u need to see the shape of his head. It is like a badly formed calabash. Handsome ko! |
Very smart move. Reciprocity it is baby. |
Kingpee2:you are a real fool for trying to trivialize this very serious issue. Maniac! |
helinues:are Korea and SA thirds in their respective groups. Get your fact right man. The ladies will qualify though, I'm positive. |
You remind me of my own very ordeal as the exact same nearly happened to me. What usually prompt people into such ignoble actions is the social pressure of measuring up. At certain age if you've not gained admission into higher institution of learning, the stigma, especially from over expectant parents could be unbearable. It is even worse when friends and relatives who are your contemporaries have been admitted to schools. What you need to do is tell your parents what had happened and set out a target for yourself during the next round of admission. Read very hard and don't permit any distraction. Also, pray harder. You can join a faith based church like "Winners" to buoy you up spiritually. Those were most of what I did and they worked for me. Today, I am a proud graduate of OAU! All the best. |
[You are not just a fool but a ripe one! slowpoke.quote author=SalamRushdie post=62771824] Abeg park well ...Wole Soyinka is not my grandfather so get that into your head , respect is earned and the old cultist hasnt earned zilch from me ..Do you know how many people that cunning evil man has destroyed with his restless spirit
|
All I see is deep ignorance fighting back. Please get more education maniac; |
What can intellectual vegetable like you know. You treat every issue on basis of their face value. A little education maniac: go and read Michael Peel's 'a swamp full of dollars'. May be the veil with which you've been blinded will be torn apart. |
I am disappointed that no one seem to understand the true intent of this hypocrite. The fool is probably the procurenent officer of the company where those stuffs are made. That's how these multinational corporations through the quiet support of their government, brew trouble in developing States. They point at our deficiencies without acknowledging their part in all of it. They sell machines with inferior quality at very expensive price to us and rather than train local technician on how to maintain them, they'll recommend we fly their own technicians in instead. The political realism is that the pain of one, is the progress of the other. Nigerians must learn to love one another and not allow those blood sucking vampires to use our misunderstanding against us. They are waiting for the ipod wahala to degenerate and before you say jack robinson, they will start falling over one another to supply weapons to either sides. Don't get carried away by their feigned concern for our unity. They thrive over other's misery. |
Happy 35th Anniversary to Papa David and Mummy Faith Oyedepo. Today I appropriate the same marital grace at work in your lives upon my own life too in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen! |
GrandGarcon:you need to first ask why the Chinese, in spite of their technological brilliance and advancement still demands for US B2 bombers and other military hardwares. You seem like a reasonable fellow and so I'll deal with you as such. Now look at the built of that vehicle. Everything about it screams 'nonsense'. First, the engine is super exposed which makes it vulnerable to enemy circumvention. Even Kanu knows that that thing which looks like a spear part seller with a protruding 'Gulder belle' is a technological sham. He just wants to blow some bubble into the ass of his mostly ill-informed supporters that Biafra has what it takes to withstand any assault and to encourage innovative ideas among his 'okazi chewing' goats. But when push comes to pull, he will desert you like a pack of rubbish much the same way like the ikemba did. |
This KANU is very funny. I hope he isn't stupid enough to travel a single meter in that death trap. That poorly fabricated moving coffin with rust doors and engine. That thing is no more than a glorified Keke Napep. It has never been seen on motion before. Anybody with panelbitting and weldering skill can easily do that. For this slowpoke's supporters, you need to visit the NA engineer corp and military industrial complex site to see true engineering miracle going on there. |
I fail to see how this is not an assault on the Nigerian Army. I hope transparency internatiol will not yell 'human right abuse' when these lowlife riff raff are paid back in their own coin. |
Voting this woman will be synonymous to voting a worse version of patience Jonathan to power. It:s going to be cataclysmic! |
Voting this woman will be synonymous to voting a worse version of patience Jo a than to power. It:s going to be cataclysmic! |
Amen |
That's what they get for messing with my compatriots in Bakkassi. Don't believe it but I know Nigerian Army covert submarine operation has just did this. |
Mr Melaye pls stop messing with the intelligence of Nigerians. We know the billions that get allocated to constituency projects and we know that it is insignificant fraction of this alloted sumusually used in executing them. The price of your cheapest cars is three times the cost of those schools. So you can go to hell! I'm not impressed! |
jieta:pardon my french but you are the ignorant one here. In diplomatic circle there is what is called mutual benefit. This is used when the fate of one state is tied to that of another and any attempt to subscribe to the alternative would only spell doom for the parties involve. Apart from electricity generation, Kainji is also the source of water for many farmers who depend on the irrigation channels along its stretch to safe their agro product especially during the choking heat in the northern part off Nigeria. Since this body of water is 'multilateral' by natural Providence, then it is only reasonable that the laws of give and take be embraced. |
