brine: Hi. Does anyone knows how to transfer cash in pounds from a Uk bank account to a GTB domiciliary account For my Lloyd's account, I just transfer directly using my mobile app. It has international transfer as an option. Or you could use your bank card to transfer money via transferwise and the likes. |

SAMDEEA123: You don't have to wait for two months to hit the ground. Once you get your NI reference number, an employer can engage your services. We never enter plane no mean say we never see am for photo. That's what it says on paper but reality is quite different. |

Yimi4real: Please is IHS not the same for dependents? I saw 780 USD instead of 975 USD that was charged for the main applicant’s 2 year course. Tried to go back to see if there was no error but it won’t let me. I entered the course end date for visa expiry, could that be why? Please help anyone.
Thank you Visa expiry date and course end date are not the same thing. For visa expiry date, you have to factor in the 4 months given to the main applicant after the end of the course. So add additional four months to the course end date when asked for visa expiry date. |

Iyanu6000: Good Morning,
I need your guidelines please, so I am 27 years old, I have my first degree in Agric Economics. I would like to go for a second degree in Nursing, my dad is willing to sponsor me, however I keep seeing schools asking for UCAS points, I really don’t understand, I just booked for IELTS so I get that part, I don’t understand the UCAS part.
I have read online too, I am seeing A Levels...what I have is just WAEC
Please can someone be kind enough to assist me to explain.
I will appreciate You could apply for MSc Nursing if you've got healthcare experience. Its shorter than the undergraduate degree and you don't need to apply through UCAS, doesn't need A-levels. You can use your Waec and your BSc results instead. |

Skymoore1004: I don’t think it’s about the bank. It’s just a general requirement to show Bsc Certificate for Msc. Same as Bsc, you need to show your Waec certificate or Foundation Certificate.
I maybe wrong but at least from experience or others that I know, it’s mandatory. I don’t know why those rules are strict but I guess it’s to prevent money laundering or something similar idk.
In this case, the best is to negotiate with someone in the U.K. to help him with the payment.
But most important question is, CAN HE GO FOR VISA WITHOUT HIS BSC CERTIFICATE? I doubt they accept statement of result. He can apply for a visa without his BSc Certificate. I applied for my previous masters with only my statement of result. I got an offer and proceeded to apply for my visa with the same statement of result and I got it. What matters is that it was accepted by the school and listed on your CAS. |

Tadebisi: Sorry I mean the fee discount they give to postgraduate applicant. The reason I asked is because I know most schools have a general discount rate they give, exemption to those that finished with first class and the likes. Pls o anyone from Edinburgh Napier or henri-watt university should pls respond ASAP. Just check their websites. Either under the international students section or the fees and funding section. |

mimilyrics: IHS is £300 for each year of your course + £150. If your course is for 1 year, total IHS will be £450 + visa fee of £340 = £790. This will charged in $ and how much you pay in naira will be dependent on your bank's rate on the day you pay.
You will need to pay online using a bank card (Naira mastercard, visa card or £€$ cards) after you submit your online application. You'll pay IHS first, then pay your visa fees before you can book an appointment. You might have to use different cards for both payments if your bank(s) has capped your Forex transaction limit; if you have a $£€ card that has funds that can be used for online transactions, you don't have to worry about transaction limits.
PS: For Tier 4 applications made from October 2020, IHS will be £470 for each year. Visa fee is £348 not £340 |

waynee2baba: Why you lot pressed? Choosing a career due to the opportunities is a pretty valid reason. I had the opportunity of doing a fully funded Ph.D in the UK but I turned it down because my heart wasn't in it. It's not just about opportunities. I would rather do medicine but it's too expensive in the UK and too stressful in Nigeria |

justwise: But he have done masters in the U.K, do you think it makes sense to return the UK to do masters in the field with showing the difference between the previous masters and the intended one ? People do it all the time. It's called a change in direction masters. You just have to explain your reasons well during the visa interview. |

mamacajah: The reason I am asking is because I have lost 2 applications based on this academic progression on a 2nd Masters. Both schools said I didn't meet academic progression for doing a second program at the same level during visa application. But now you guys are saying that applies only to those in UK? But I applied as an overseas student. I am getting a bit confused here...
Is there anyone who successfully applied for a 2nd Masters or knows someone who did.. to shred more light on this.. Thanks! I completed an MSc in Chemical Engineering last year in the UK. I currently hold an offer for January 2021 to study MSc in Nursing. |

justwise: Yes you can do another masters but it has to be different from your previous one and you also need to write a letter explaining why you are doing another masters and how it shows progression. An entry clearance tier 4 visa application is exempt from the academic progression rule. Only tier 4 visa applications in the UK need to demonstrate progression. |

Movinghigher: Thank you very much but what I need actually is the loan , not the proof. If I get proof and don't have money, it won't be of much benefit to me. I have tried Prodigy finance but my school is not on the list of people they sponsor , they sponsor mostly US schools and very few UK business schools. I decided to resort to Nigerian banks , that is why I want to know if anyone has used Nigerian banks . I have sent a mail to my bank as I have banked with them for years but they are yet to reply me , though on their website they don't give study abroad loan. You can check out Future finance. They're based in the UK and offer loans to international students. But you need a UK based guarantor. |

Donracy: Ethiopia Airline just replied my DM on Twitter now with their flight fares and dates. Starting from July 20th. But menh. The fares nobi here. Just one way trip from Dubai to Lagos is 300k plus.... One way tickets are generally almost the same as a return ticket. Its usually cheaper to book a return. |
