And some may even be living a quality of life better than you’re living abroad.

The begging, leaching thing is at an epidemic level in Nigeria.
It's just laziness. Nigerians want wealth without sweating for it.

And one bad thing about Nigerians is this get rich syndrome. They can do unlawful things just to amass wealth and the whites is not like that. Once they can work and take care of their immediate needs n family, they r OK. But Nigerians will want to build houses everywhere without impacting on people's lives
Heavenly Holiness, nobody owes me anything except my parents and I sure as hell dont owe anybody anything asides my parents. I remember when I first got to the UK. My facebook started blowing up, people who normally dont give a crap about me started to send me messages, just because they heard I've left Nogeria. Even my ex who treated me very badly started calling to apologise. As for me, I'm not impacting any lifestyle because nobody has impacted mine.

Hahaha. Nigeria better for pass here na because we no sabi use wetin God give us
That's just it. Most Nigerians that are complaining that life is hard abroad will rather be there than come back to Nigeria because at least the system works and everything is as it should be even if it is hard to amass riches

They just want something that works
Yes oo. I love Nigeria but dont want to live there. If you're not extremely rich, life will be hard for you. But in most developed countries, even the poor/middle class enjoy the same constant electricity and healthcare system like the rich do.

How much does he even make a year after tax that he can afford to send 50k pounds to Nigeria in just one year?

Will I apply for my visa using my formal name or with my new name?
Since you've already done a change of name, your new name is your legal and formal name now. I think you might have to get a new passport reflecting your new name. If you hadn't done a change of name already, you could use your old passport and just upload your marriage certificate. I recently got married and was advised I would have to get a new passport if i want to bear my husband's name. So i didnt do a change of name.

Good morning. Please I need clarification on some things

1. I already booked a date for my IOM testing and a link was sent to me to fill, in the link there's a space for UK address, I haven't decided on the place I would stay and also I haven't choose between two schools. What's the best address to put as the address space is compulsory?

2. The name on my passport is different from my new surname as I just got married and did a change of name, something like formal name: Shola Oladele and new surname Shola Oladele-Adebowale. Will this be a problem? Would I need to go to immigration office to change the name on my passport? As my husband is planning to join me few months after. So I'll know the next step to take. Thanks
@mimilyrics and other gurus.
You'll need a new passport bearing your new surname.

Is dorm account really the best?

Dom account that you have to fund with BDC rate?

Dom account that 80% of the branches will tell you that they don’t have money for withdrawal.
You will keep going branch to branch before you find the one that has money.

Dom account that the card get mood.
Some sites will not even accept it.

Dom account that you pay to send, withdraw, and receive?

Dom account that before you open, you will do iswear to God & bother the bank everytime to check the references you submitted.

Dom account that you cannot always transfer via your mobile app. You’d need to go the bank for certain transactions.

Nigeria is just a mess.
I’m happy for you all leaving soon.

P:S: Please I’m talking based on experience with some banks. Yours might differ and be better.
When last did you use a DOM account in Nigeria? For those going abroad, having a DOM account is 1000 times better than a Naira account.
PS: I am able to access and transfer from my DOM account via my bank's mobile app.

Oh I didn’t know that.
I once asked if I can transfer from my USD Dom account to a Danish Acc, and I was told it has to be the same domination.

But again sometimes the customer service doesn’t even know & they feed you wrongly.
Thanks for highlighting, good to know this.
Yeah, they dont really know much about it. I found that the easiest and cheapest way to move my money from nigeria was via transfer from my Dom account to my UK account.

To whom it may concern.

Greetings all.

Please a quiet one.

Is it possible to transfer money from a ££ pounds account in UK to $$ Dollar account(Domiciliary account) in Nigeria.

If yes, please like how long does it take to process and reflect in the dollar account in Nigeria after transfer from the UK?
Yes, you can. I did a transfer from my Lloyds account to my GTB USD Dom account. I paid about £9 as bank charges to Lloyd's and paid $25 to GTB. It took a day or so. Hope this helps.

No unfortunately, at least from my experience and knowledge.

Only USD to USD
GBP to GBP
EUR to EUR.
You can. I've done it before from a UK account to a GTB USD Dom account. But the bank charges were much.

I sent my through mail to The University of Hull. Mind you, it's your school in Nigeria that will do the sending... transcript are not meant to be given to students I think
When I studied at the University of Hull last year, I uploaded my transcripts via the portal. When I resumed, i took the transcripts to the admissions office and they made a copy of it. I didn't have to pay my university to send them a copy. Most UK universities that I know of dont ask for transcripts to be sent directly from your previous uni.

Actually I have about 6 schools in mind. Uni of Derby, U of Plymouth, U of Derby, Uni of Lincoln, U of Hertfordshire and U of Bedfordshire.
What program do you intend to study?

Skymoore1004:
As long as the application period is open, you’re free to make an application.

However you may not get an offer anytime soon. They would finish with September 2020 set before they start sending out offers to 2021 people.
I know that. I noticed that most universities that offer my intended course interview people in batches and it's always preferable to be shortlisted in round one. They tend to be lenient with offers with those interviewed first. That's why I am applying as soon as possible.

Aprokodaughter:
But some schools wont put up their fees for September 2021on their website till January 2021. Some might increase their fees in September 2021. Some department might need to adjust their modules.

You need to put in all these into consideration when applying for September 2021 so you don't get confused when they start updating their 2021 calendar (September to be precise).
For my intended program, I found that the earlier you apply, the better it is. I previously wanted to start in January 2021 and applied to GCU in April 2020, but I was waitlisted because the program is full. Apply early, get an offer and if you don't like the changes being made to the program, reject the offer.

1. To whom it may concern

2. Yea its too early to apply for September 2021 intake. Use this period to get all your documents and your money together. You can start applying from January/February 2021.

3. Yes you can use student copy if they are stamped and signed by your previous school.
It's not too early to apply for September 2021 intake. I've actually started an application for September 2021 with Uni of Derby.

I want to open Lloyds savings account too, I just need your advice on the one to go for
I opened both a savings and a current account with them. I just went to the branch closest to me with the required documents, and an adviser talked me through the process.
