TheShopKeeper: Trump briefly admits to Russia ‘helping me to get elected’
http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/trump-briefly-admits-russia-helping-me-get-elected?cid=sm_npd_ms_tw_ma
It’s probably fair to say Robert Mueller’s public remarks left Donald Trump even more rattled than usual. This morning, for example, the president argued via Twitter that the special counsel “would have brought charges, if he had ANYTHING, but there were no charges to bring!”
Perhaps Trump didn’t see Mueller’s remarks yesterday. Alternatively, maybe Trump saw them but didn’t understand what the retiring special counsel had to say.
Soon after, the president published some additional thoughts on the matter, which included one highly provocative concession:
“Russia, Russia, Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax. And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected. It was a crime that didn’t exist.
“So now the Dems and their partner, the Fake News Media, say he fought back against this phony crime that didn’t exist, this horrendous false acquisition, and he shouldn’t fight back, he should just sit back and take it. Could this be Obstruction? No, Mueller didn’t find Obstruction either. Presidential Harassment!”
There’s quite a bit of nonsense in the missives, but I’d draw your attention to one specific thing: “I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected.”
Oh. So from Trump’s perspective, Russia helped elect him, but he personally had nothing to do with the foreign adversary’s illegal election interference.
I’m occasionally reminded of Michael Kinsely’s old joke about politicians who make a mistake by accidentally telling the truth.
The president then deleted those tweets, only to republish the same thought soon after, changing “false acquisition” to “false accusation.”
The important line – “I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected” – appeared in both the original and the corrected texts.
As far as I can tell, this the first time Trump publicly acknowledged Russia’s role in elevating him to power.
Perhaps unaware of the significance of what he’d just told the world, the president seemed to walk back his own assertions soon after. During a brief Q&A with reporters at the White House, he said, “No, Russia did not help me get elected. You know who got me elected? You know who got me elected? I got me elected. Russia didn’t help me at all.”
That was not only at odds with everything we know about reality, it also contradicted what he’d published to Twitter less than an hour earlier. It is a great insult by democrats to America to allege that Russia manipulated their voting, and Americans should be thoroughly ashamed to admit it. But if Russia really did sway the votes, then the beneficiary was Clinton. She had 3 million more votes than Trump. Trump was saved only by the Electoral College. |

Mexico's President to Trump: America is for migrants. If I were US President, I would consider this an act of war, a brazen attack on America's national and territorial sovereinty. China is for the Chinese, Japan for the Japanese, even Mexico for the Mexicans, but America for Migrants. I know that this assault and insult is emboldened by the insane domestic rhetorics of the antiamerican left wing, such as the great chicanery that "because our founding fathers were immigrants, therefore we are a nation of immigrants". Absolute nonsense. All nations were founded by immigrants and its only America that that makes a nation of immigrants. Even the sacred cow native Americans did not sprout on the spot. They floated across the sea from somewhere. The primitive times was a period of mass migration, but over time communities, nations, territorial sovereignties, citizenship and borders emerged. Therefore, there is nothing like a nation of immigants. A nation is a nation of its citizens everywhere else outside of America where sanity is oppressed by left wing lunacy. |

My position is far above all the gibberish and hullabaloo. Untill another election, Trump is President and Commander-In-Chief with authority to move, berth or anchor the USS McCain anywhere, anytime, in sight or out of sight within international law, in peace time. So let's move on to the next news, hoax or fake news. |

wirinet: Gbam! Muller is saying indirectly, that the job of indicting a sitting president lies with the Congress and not with a special (not independent ) council appointed by the DoJ. He is simply saying congress, the ball is in your court. Why say it indirectly. Why not say the president committed a crime but my hands are tied to act. America is not a shithole country where the President could make him just disappear. |

Mbakuthegreat: Are you saying that you black South Africans are persecuting the whites and engaging in the genocide against them in S.A? I think Trump cares more for minority whites in S.A than blacks in U.S or the african migrants being butchered on the streets by afrophobic black south african mobs who would never do that to indian, asian or white migrants. And what are you talking about? Black south africans were accused of fighting for black supramacy when they fought for independece and ANC was considered a terrorist group in the west by leaders such as Reagan and Thatcher.
The western liberals? Are you talking about the government or the people? Western liberals are racist when you disagree with them, they threat blacks as lower and think that they cant think for themselves. Recently kenya voted against LGBTQ and the western liberals were calling kenyans and africans all kind of things and showing their true colour. I can also say that i’ve observed that with the western-right all attrocities are always justified when its the black man at the receiving end.
Trump cares about white america which is his people and his nation, and nothing more. And again i like that because then he lives Africa alone. Liberals on the other hands are globalists and have been putting the mask as our friend and then stabbing us in the back for decades. If you think all those wars the western liberals have been engaging in against developing countries so they can loot its resources is not because they love their nation then you are gone... The so called liberal Hillary is more of a savage than Trump, look up her history. And stop that low IQ thinking, why would you want your president to engage in a war of insults and bring unecesary attention to himself and his country? This is the problem of Africa, stay quite and build up your nation while they talk shit. What is there to have pride over... Do you see Xi Jinping insulting Trump back? No he stays quite and focus on building up China to become 1st world economy. Look at Angola, has the third largest GDP in subsaharan Africa but you never hear a word about them and they mind their buisness(maybe because they speak Portuguese). I wrote 'persecution' and in your reply you attached 'genocide' to it. The perception from abroad is that the minority whites are under persecution, or oppression in SA and it's under that sentiment that Trump tweeted his sympathy. Btw, I'm not a South African. When I said we fought for majority rule, I meant the 'we' in Pan-African sense. |

My recommendation to Trump and the Republican Party :
Lindsey Graham for VP 2020. He has fighting spirit, experience and statecraft, As Trump has fighting spirit, charisma and stagecraft. Pence out, Javanka out, Hubris out. Let Trump reign and Graham rule. Graham for President, 2024. Trump Jnr for VP, 2024. |

Mbakuthegreat: 75%+ of america is white and Donald Trump looked out for white people when he talked about South Africa. His most memorable things with Africa is calling African countries and black countries in the Carribean shitholes and saying that he will look after white peoples interest in S.A. He clearly knows who his people are and so do the people who voted for him. Again i love him as a president, he doesn’t give a Bleep about us and neither should we about him. Trump is the ruler of America, not the world. If he insults my nation, the ruler of my nation should insult his own nation back. Diplomacy is a tit for tat affair. That's why ambassadors are expelled retaliatorily in times of trouble. I admire Trump because he loves his nation, unlike the antiamerican leftists who want everybody to migrate to America to help them vote down the citizen Americans. Secondly, Trump weghed in in South Africa not for racist motive but in defense of whites as a persecuted minority, just as everybody defends the minorities in the west. Thirdly, there are demographic majorities in every region of the world. When we fought and achieved majority rule (black rule) in Southern Africa, nobody accused us of black supremacism, so why the ado if Trump or anybode should desire that America remains a white majority nation provided the rights of minorities are respected. But I have observed that to the self loathing western liberals, racism is actually okay if it is the white man at the receiving end. |

zendi: Talking about the stone ages, what do you think about 'aborting' already born babies? The ones that go by the chicanery, Progressives, are the real stone age barbarians. All the people making ado about this post with regards to "aborting already born babies" should note that in english language, the word 'abort' simply means to terminate something prematurely. So what makes it a verb that can only apply inside a womb? The barbaric proposals of "Progressive" Ralph Northam amount to simply a continuation of the effort to terminate the life of the baby, within or without the womb, at the nod of the mother, by denying it rescussitation, by simply neglecting it to death. For good measure, it is also called Post-Birth Abortion. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by zendi: 9:12am On May 20, 2019 |
Anduku: You are right in calling it murder. The point I am making is that the lunatic liberals are now talking about legalizing infanticide. if the mother doesn't like the child she gave birth to, the doctors will basically deny the baby the needed medical attention and allow the already born baby to die if the mother so desires. This is exactly the newest madness that we are getting from the ever depraved lunatic liberals Exactly, plus the democrats are blocking in the senate the Born Alive Protection Bill meant to compel doctors to provide medicare to infant abortion survivors. |

wirinet: As I said, it's a matter of opinion of when a fetus becomes a baby. The only argument of prolifers is religious, nothing else. Outside that, the real reason mostly men are against abortion is to control women sexuality. They reason that any woman that commit sexual sin should have a baby by force as punishment.
My opinion is that no one has the right to dictate to a woman to have a baby she does not want. Furthermore, no man has the right to tell a woman to remain chaste until she is married. Even at that no one has the right to force a married woman to have a baby she and her husband does not want for any reason. The choice of going through the pains of pregnancy, giving birth to the baby and raising the baby should be left to the woman and her spouse/partner and not the society, especially if the society is not ready to help in raising and caring for the baby. You will be surprised at the number of married couples that opt for abortion because they do not want any more children.
Having said that, I am also against late term abortions. It is more painful and dangerous to the woman's health and can inflict long term damage to the womb. So my own view is that late term abortion can be banned, maybe from after the first trimester. Any woman that found her self pregnant and does not want to keep the baby should make up her mind within 3 months. I am a man, religious and a prolifer, generally, but not strictly for religious reasons. Otherwise I would be opposed to abortion under any circumstance. I believe, as stated in earier post, that from the detection of heartbeat, life has started and life, it seems to me, is more than something we should be creating and discarding wantonly. Better a woman adopts strict contraceptive measures to bypass the need for chastity. Your second idea that men want to punish promiscuity by saddling women with pregnancy I find so ridiculous, even hilarious that I'm still laughing. But I understand you might be existing in an environment where child bearing is regarded as drudgery, yet immigrant children are made so sacred that when an infant dragged through the wilderness by the supposed parent dies near the border, the national outrage will drown the wails of citizen parents whose kids also died in hospitals around the country that day. |

wirinet: As I said killing a baby immediately after leaving the womb is murder I any jurisdiction is murder. No law can change that. The bone of contention among proponents and opponents of abortion is when the fetus becomes a biological and moral baby. Some say it's immediately after conception, others say it is when the first heartbeat is detected, others still say it's when the baby draws it's first air. I'm not a doctor, but common sense tells me it's from first heartbeat. You can't declare somebody dead whose heart is beating. Before the heartbeat, and at any other point when the mother is faced with health risk, I am open to abortion for those who chose. It's madness to claim a baby who somehow stubbornly survived the aborting efforts still poses a risk to the mother as some infanticiders are claiming. Finally, rape should not be accepted for exception, except in clear cases of armed robbery or terrorist attacks. Otherwise any woman who wishes to abort will just claim raped. Sexual encounters have no witnesses. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by zendi: 1:47pm On May 19, 2019 |
wirinet: Killing an already born child is termed murder and not abortion. A fetus becomes a baby (a legal person) the minute it leaves it's mother's womb and is capable of independent existence. Okay, agreed, language technicality is not my point. But pro-choice extremists now want such murders in the services available to mothers who so choose in abortion clinics in the event the baby is born alive, which is why I call them New Age Barbarians,. |

BraniacX: my point is technical, a baby already born can't be aborted! Simple, you can kill it terminate an already born baby but the term abort is for unborn children exclusively! So when you try to make a point, ere on the si[sub][/sub]de of facts please My point was valid, it's you with your dry sense of humour who should be erring on the side of careful observation. Go back to p.213 and observe that I used 'aborting' in quotes suggesting it's a kind of metaphor for all those possible jeopardies to the baby you mentioned (kill, terminate etc). After all, those harms will be happening to the baby as 'procedures' in an ABORTION clinic. |

And i think the string of anti-abortion bills is to provoke litigation that will end in the Supreme Court which republican appointees now dominate and eventually rescind roe vs wade What narrative......please check out the new abortion laws of New York and Virginia. Headboy2000: Link to full redacted Mueller 448-page report:
https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf
The report also reveals:
- It is divided into two volumes: 207 pages on collusion, and 241 on obstruction
- The report crucially says that the special counsel did not clear President Trump
- Mr Trump reportedly used an expletive ( 'I'm f***ed. This is the end of my presidency') when the investigation was announced, adding: "Oh my god. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency"
- Mr Mueller examined 10 actions by the president in regards to obstruction of justice, which he said largely "took place in public view"
- The report says that potential obstruction of justice by the president only failed because members of his administration, including former FBI Director James Comey, refused to "carry out orders"
- Investigators viewed the president's written responses to their questions as "inadequate" but chose not to pursue a potentially lengthy legal battle to interview him
- Mr Trump dictated a misleading response as to what the June 2016 meeting between Russian intermediaries and Trump campaign officials in Trump Tower was about - this had earlier been denied by Mr Trump's lawyer and White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders
- The special counsel considered charging the president's son, Donald Trump Jr, and son-in-law Jared Kushner but did not think they could meet the Department of Justice's burden of proof that they wilfully broke the law He used the expletives (if he used them), not because he had crime to hide, but because he had been told that special counsel probe would drag on and on and bog down his government. |
