The market is not sure if evansmed is still a going biz or not.
I can't remenber when last they released a result, and each time I want to offer my holding for sale, the itrade engine will notify me that evansmed is undergoing delisting.
Not quite sure what happens to a stock after delisting, but I'm sure that's not the experience a jijoist wished for.

Not forgetting Union Diagnostics, Starcomm, IGI etc most the companies he recommended and hyped are yet to pay dividend nor enjoyed capital appreciation in almost 10 years.

The recommended stocks were hyped in the seminars he organised all over the country, daily radio show, weekly television show and daily stock newspaper.

In a saner society, people who made investment decisions based on his so called professional advice would have sued him
.
Sued him for for THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL MELTDOWN?
Have we forgotten how the market crashed here and around the world?
And did he never tell them to do their own dd and 'follow their own heart' ?
Then people who made money from his recommendations before the market crash would have paid his legal fees.
Most recommendations by him and other gurus were good according to the market drumbeat and sentiments of those heady days.

Hello smart guys of this forum, I am away from the country often and was hoping to get a better broker who will offer me online trading of my stocks. I was thinking about morgan capital, perhaps apt securities or meristem. Please who can offer me advice on the best broker to use. My main concern is online trading of my stocks by myself on a reliable platform, I keep hearing negative stories about morgan capital deducting money, they were also suspended last year. You opinion is highly welcomed.

I use morgan, and my former house before itrading appeared.
In terms of itrading I'm yet to hear of a better platform than morgan in nigeria.
However, emmanuelewumi is an institution unto himself in this business so I advise you
contact those reputable organizations he mentioned above to see which one suits your needs.

when did quantitative easing extend to the communnicatiin sector, I thought it ended in banks and insurance companies
My brother, if Govt wants to bail out etisalat, they should just give Herbert and co their money, matter finished.
Bank loans are not your share of the national cake.
Herbert is too young to risk going down the routes of Ibru, Erastus, Adigwe and others.
I used to think that foreign investors haul in their own money. Never knew they only come in to loot local banks, and then bolt when things turn awry.
I also strongly endorse Herbert's no-nonsense approach.
You cant villify, and even prosecute bank managers for recklessness and bad luck in lending, and then turn again and blame them for ruthlessness in risk management and loan recovery.
As far as I'm concerned, etisalat investors are on their own here, no matter how "systemically important".
My tax money should never be used to bail out private
sector misfortunes, or possibly, even malfeasance.

Loco, understand my point.

Maybaker rally was triggered by good solid news, and the rally may not be over yet. I got in at 3.40 and have not sold.

But I was talking of Neimeth which is showing signs of starting a rally too, that there may be nothing to their own other than mere bandwagon effect or 'follow-follow' action.

Meanwhile, who knows what is going on @ Neimeth. This was how May and Baker started.

I would appreciate any info on Neimeth.
In the NSE there can be smoke without fire.

I think some jijoists, intoxicated by their maybaker jackpot, are attempting to use their loot to invent another healthcare sector rally.

It would have been a perfect opportunity for the government to take over and list the company on the NSE, but greedy banks would not let it go forward. Watch how they would mess up the company and start diverting contracts and fill in positions for their selfish benefits.

Where is NCC when you need them the most?
List a loss spinning company?

Will NCC give the banks their money?

Public money is not for flushing down into corporate cesspits.

They should quickly sell the network to Mike amd his glo.

Or if Access Bank chooses to 'ruin' it themselves, we'll still have glo and mtn to make our calls.

if you said so.........better we invest in multinational oil companies that does not only depend on Nigeria's oil.
if this pipeline vandalizations/breaking continues, how will Nigeria go out of recession, how will local oil companies like oando, eterna, conoil who are given crude oil contracts make money to lift their share price?
i am beginning to have a rethink of investing in oil stocks until FG is through with the Niger Delta millitants.

Breaking of our pipelines is even a good news to the world oil market but bad news for Nigeria(ns) & Co.

nsogbu di kwa nwa nne.........
They're making it, don't mind all the militant news. 224 oil trading companies from around the world came for the bidding process out of which only 38 succeeded.
You think those local and international companies did not do their due diligence, or are not aware of the ND militancy?
With all the militant news, you will still see them all come back to compete for next year's contracts.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu, Dantata, Cole, Ogah, Others Clinch Nigeria’s 1.3mbd Oil Lifting Deal by zendi: 11:30am On Jan 06, 2017
janellemonae:
Firstly u need to know what ur talking before u start the talking. These have nothing to do wt oil wells. U are clearly confused.

The oil business has different sectors. Oil well ownership & production is different from the government crude oil marketers (which this list is showing). They are also different from product marketers (which includes importers & internal retailers who have petrol stations). Then u have refining companies, who buy crude, refine & sell products. Then u have several servicing companies providing specialized services such as technical management, storage, security, servicing, transportation .etc. for oil firms.

So u really believe there is no niger deltan company anywhere in this value chain? I know for a fact Sahara energy is owned by a nigerdeltan & a Yoruba man. They are also in almost every sector of d oil business. They are d largest indigenous crude traders in Nigeria, Ivory Coast & some other African countries. They are also involved in product sales - majoring in aviation fuel.

There's nothing special about this list. It's bn these same companies lifting (buying & selling) crude from d FG for a very long time. Only difference, chevron (downstream) was bought by MRS.
Good post. Many people whinning here do not understand this business.
Govt has not gifted or "dashed" portions of the nation's oil to these people.
In this era of chronic oil glut, these companies are actually helping Nigeria find takers for the oil.
making money as commission from the buyers and not any discount from the govt.
NNPC does not give discount on these allocations.
Every barrel is fully paid for according to the prevailing international market price.
The lifting companies make money from the buyers and not at the expense of Nigeria.
Above all, participation is available to all thro the Nigeria Stock Exchange.
Anybody can start lifting crude oil right now by accumulating the shares of oando, mrs and eterna oil
which are freely availalable.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi:
Chibuking81:
Oando should pay their debt first.
That debt tends to annul every good news that comes to Oando.
The better route to exploit this crude oil lifting news is lowly Eterna.
Eterna got the same lifting alloocation as Oando...32,000 barrels daily'.
And we have a born-again Eterna.
It used to be 'chop-alone' Eterna, but is now dividend paying.
