Which kain case UACN get, that made the company had to spend N151 million on legal exoenses.

IT expenses went up from N210 million in 2014 to N272 million in 2015.

N1.27 billion was used for vehicle maintence and fuel in 2015, this figure may go up by 40% in 2016.

N922 million was spent on electricity and power in 2014, but went down to N876 million in 2015. I observed that the ac in my favourite Mr Biggs is not usually on whenever they are on generator, and in most cases they have a timetable for when the generator can be used.

The marketing and advert expense of N1.18 billion ought to have a positive impact on the revenue and bottomline.

Distribution expense went up from N620 million in 2014 to N667 million in 2015.
Many of these companies are ripping off investors mercilessly.
Manie, you should be in shareholder activism, leading one faction, sorry group.
We need somebody like you to confront them with these queries at AGMs.

FBNH on Overdrive! Wetin dey happen?
I think mr market mistook 'profit warning' for 'loss notice', if there is anything like that, and,
after seeing fcmb result, is rectifying the overreaction on fbnh.
One should watch out for the other profit warners too.

Zendi or whatever,u dey Jonse. I dnt work with info i gather here. I just see you guys as entertainers and not investor. Whatever i post is left for me and not for you. Oldbie ,how much loss have you been able to make with your borrowed money cos i can't ask for your profit cos u have nothing to offer with ur peanuts
Brother, I didn't call you newbie in stock investment.
I said newbie in 'monkey trading', that is, trying to push your UCAP jijo.
You see us as entertainers here, but your wrong-headed post on UCAP does not suggest you're doing any better.
Let's take some things in the lighter mood.

Ucap will appreciate to 2.50 next week Friday . Not a buy rec anyway
duni04:
Normally i wouldnt even bother with this but i'm bored so ill indulge you. Even if UCAP does a cumulative 20% on Tuesday and Wednesday, that would leave the pre-markdown price at 2.4. Meaning the price on Thursday would be 2.05. For UCAP to do 2.50 on Friday, it would have to appreciate by 18% on a single day of trading. Except you're Oscar and you're planning to change the NSE rules between Thursday and Friday, you better retract this your post.
Laff wan kee me !
Duni04, that man fit be newbie for monkey trading now.

The share price will only gain 15%
What I think will move the stock and the entire sector, more than any dividend, is if the result generally, especially the PAT, turns out not as bad as feared right now.

Be careful in the NSE, foreign investors are leaving Nigeria for cote d viore.

https://www.nairaland.com/2995914/cote-divoire-displaces-nigeria-emerge
Some of those investors, fleeing from Al-Qaida/Al-Shabab/IS Gboko Haram in Nigeria,
end up exposed to Cote d'Ivoirean Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb.
The trrorists opened fire at several Ivoirean sea-side hotels on Sunday,
killing 18 and wounding 33, (I assume mostly foreigners).
Tragic, but goes to show, Nigeria's insecurity concern, among the oft cited problems,
does not make Cote d'Ivoire exactly a safe haven. Wishing them goodluck!

just as saying Oando will trade at N30 next week....words are powerful. So beacaue she said i have died.. she will die abi.

We have been shouting Naija is great and she is now great
Jarkbauer, just saying "I have died" once won't make her drop dead right away, God forbid.
But, even if one does not wish to practice positive confession,
there must be some spirit that taught ancient humanity the wisdom to say "GOODmorning",
even when things don't seem to be going well, instead of "BADmorning" sometimes.

All is well.

Bear in mind that same tiger brand aka Dangote Floormill once sold for N58 in 2007.

OANDO sold above N300 Same 2007

While SEPLAT traded N720 about 20months ago.

So try as much as possible to balance the equation and dont be deceieved by those shouting gain gain gain everyday albeit one just died.
Well, even costain once in 2008 sold at around N80. What of Nahco ?
A friend told me that his Nahco was rising and rising until 'afraid catch him'........how can money making be so easy?
So he started begging his broker to sell, that he had had enough, please.
But the broker laughed and told him that the thing, by then around N50, had not even gone anywhere.
In those heady days, stockbroking marketers were going to Onitsha market to tell traders to stop wasting time and bring the money to the stock market for quick multiplication.
But in my post you quoted, I'm talking about traders operating under today's market conditions.
Thank God we have better monitoring tools today to watch over our trades the way you nurse a baby.
So you dont buy and go to sleep.
I know a fellow who is still sitting on 1 million units of Japaul he bought at around N10 in those heydays.
If you are into buy and hold investing please make sure its a dividend paying stock so that if upsides dont come,
dividend will be coming.

How to lose money in NSE: Panic sell when everybody is selling then turn around to panic buy when everybody else is buying.
I think the reason we are all clicking 'like' to this post (I clicked one),
is because it resonates with our own panicky experiences.
"Fear not" or "Be greedy when others are fearful" is easier said than done.

Thanks for this smart post...make una dey panic ooo.
Imagine what someone who bought Tigerbrands at less N1.2 and sold above N3 made within this short period. Or the attractive dividends beign churned out by the likes of GTB etc. The truth is that the more the prices drop, the bigger the dividend yield. Buy fundamentally strong stocks and don't mind noise makers like Peterichy who is fast becoming PeterPoory!
Some people bot tiger at 0.88 about 2 months ago and now sold at 3.
I'm not one of them o. I jijoed mine away prematurely.
But what we'er saying is, market don die, market don die, yet history keeps returning
with mega loot opportunities such as we also saw in seplat and oando.

So such a country is where you will advice foreign investors to put their fund huh

For your info I 've been in Nigeria for some wks now with some foreign investors looking for a reliable franchise for their products but at the end of our research we discovered the economy is in total mess and we don't ve a choice but to jet back in a couple of days from now.

This is what happens in a country where the president presents a Nepa bill in place of a certificate.
Those your foreign investor friends...
Chaperoned by a diehard pessimist about the Nigerian economic climate like you;
I can't stop laughing because it's simply hilarious.
Something like asking a pussycat to vouch for the integrity of a mouse.
That investment mission was simply dead on arrival.
Anybody who wants to know if Nigeria is worth investing in should go and ask Aliko Dangote.
