Beancounter93: We will keep on recording trade deficits so long as we are an oil dependent, over importing nation.
That's why we need to change, from just relying on oil to relying on industrial growth and development.
The oil is not enough for all of us. Time we used something more valuable...our brains...regardless of the tribe. Time we set up manufacturing industries, and not businesses selling imported goods. Is not oil,how do u expect trade and the economy to do well with restrictions on crypto which affects forest, increase in importation ban without substitute of like products to balance with export, social platform clampdown, huge security problem which inturn affects transportation of products etc. This govt is a cursed one, |

Tetehjewels: I believe the issue here is that Buharis comment was grossly taken out of context especially since it was extracted from a video address he made to INEC.
If you watched the video you would understand that what was being touted on Twitter as the reality was not the reality
The herd mentality among Nigerians and hatred for him by a certain divide made them twist the narrative and then decide to report his account.
Twitter investigates before removal of tweets but the question is "which individual tweeter staff handled that report or investigation"?
It was not Jack but a staff and to me that tweet was removed unjustifiably because it's content if you read the other tweets preceding that was targeted at criminal elements in general and not my tribe.
Nnamdi Kanu has been making open threats to Nigeria and Nigerian forces via same Twitter and nothing has happened to his tweets. No action was ever taken.
I do understand the basis for the action by Buhari to ban Twitter because it was beginning to look like they are selective even with their own rules and seem to want the drama or chaos that comes with turmoil because afterall in media it's all about traffic same with Nairaland. Go true the video and read the terms and conditions for setting up an account then u will understand better. |

Rissamenti: Being a democracy does not make us a mumu country that Twitter can insult anyhow, sorry. Stop showing ur ignorance, Twitter is a platform regulated by laws and there are terms of agreement before you open an account which u agreed to.If u contravene the rules of the platform is their right to suspend, deactivate ur account according to the agreement just like what we have here on NL,if the US president do same he will be melted same treatment is not Nigeria it is the agreement buhari's account agreed to before being on their platform. Please stop showing ur illiteracy to us. |

Mutigadara1: Yes. Illiteracy is a disease. For who ever that can not see that the westerners (Europeans) wants Nigeria to be in crisis with itself (civil war), so that they can come in steal our natural resources, then he/she is the true illiterate. Look at Libya for example. Let's be vigilant please so that we will not be the course of our own destruction. One Nigeria forever . There's no Westerner here neither the hand of any European,it is the segregation by the government that gave rise to agitation if each region has a level fair treatment no one will think of leaving,if the president we have is sound economically, mentally, financially and all round good leadership skill we won't be here so please don't blame Europeans or westerners for anything here. |
