It's really surprising why Nigerians would put a price of a nigerian used car almost at the same with what it would cost to get a tokunbo.. Especially this Camry big daddy series.. how would I buy a Nigerian used big daddy for 1M+.. I see it as madness when a tokunbo wouldn't cost more than 1.3-1.5M.. A mech said we should ring it but I'm against the idea and I feel it would be better to get an half engine or a complete engine depending on the price range.. Please sir how much would it cost for a replacement half engine or full engine?

pink/wine colour = power steering oil

wash under the car with diesel or petrol let it be neat, give next day the culprit seal would reveal itself

Why question is why did he enter a single engine propelled plane? After watching a movie by Idris Elba (The Mountain between Us) of a similar thing happening I promised myself not to enter such a plane.. Why didn't he fly KLM or Air France or something? I hope he's safe and found soon. He's family must be devastated.. The rising star of the family.

I just got a Nigerian used 2007 4 plug Honda Accord DC as my first car. Many things sound alien to me. Scanned the car before purchase and got these results

P0135 HO2S (A/F SENSOR) S1 HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

P0141 H02S S2 HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR (OPEN OR SHORT)

RIGHT FRONT INLET SOLENOID VALVE FAILURE

HO2S S2 HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

Felt these were minor fixes only to be told catalyst is missing (is this picked up by the scan?) and fixes are getting up to 200k. I got this list from the mech and i will like to know your thoughts on these prices. Engine seat 4 pcs #18k. Engine oil nd filter. #7K., Gear oil #7K. ,injector service #8K ,kick starter. #10K, catalyst #40K, steering pump #25k.

He also mentioned changing the front two legs, servicing the gear and something that has to do with the steering rods. I will appreciate feedbacks and advices. Thanks guys

As a first time car user I understand your plight.. As a Honda user myself let me give you my own thought:

Some of the things on the list can be gotten by you

Engine Oil: request from previous owner what oil he uses to service the car if it's full synthetic or 20W50 kind of oil.. Full Synthetic is about 17.5k for Mobil while 20W50 is about 4,800.. Please make sure you confirm the oil he uses to avoid stories that touch the heart

Gear Oil: you can get the original Honda ATF from cc: luvinhubby or get it's alternative Total MV LV ATF .. Those are the 2 recommended gear oil for Honda.. Stay away from Holts n the rest of them

Engine seat: the prices of these varies with position of the seat either front or back. Back are always more expensive and it's advisable you go for follow come toks contact luvinhubby

For the rest.. if you are in Lagos you can either go down to ladipo auto market or Honda village in oyingbo and sort the rest parts yourself

1.No, ASUU strike won't cease under Atiku....and saying that Atiku is good for universities because he established one in his home state is like saying Buhari is good for universities too...since at least 4 were established under his administration.

2. The problem is, under the terms of the 2009 agreement., ASUU got a promise from FG to pay 3 trillion in extra funding for universites over the next 2 years. That funding has been beaten down to 1.1 trillion over 5 years.

3.With oil prices falling...Atiku is not going to get funding needed...

4.Plus...as far as I am concerned, Universities in Nigeria need more than 2 trillion annually just to keep fees low.

5.The real issue around the strike is that neither ASUU nor the government wants to face the cold reality of raised fees....instead they pretend we have the money, somehow...when we don't.

All your points from 1-4 is very correct but point number 5 is very wrong.. Nigeria has money. If the country was properly managed and reduced level of corruption and embezzlement, I'm telling you categorically Nigeria would be better than some European countries. The people in this country is our leader. If you look at the money they earn from allowances alone, talkless of salary and benefits after service you would understand that they are the ones bleeding the country dry.. The day we get it write in this country with leadership, then you would understand what a working society means.

Honda ATF DW1

If you can't get that exactly, work into Total petrol and ask for total Fluid MV LV @3500/L not the flid 11D oooo.

This is compatible with Honda cars that require DW1

2001 Honda Accord manual says to use dexron 111 if unable to find Honda ATF-Z1.. Best advise. Download the manual of your 2002 Accord and see the required transmission fluid
