Exactly the point most people are not seeing, Napoli want to punish Osimhen for rejecting the Saudi deal, and are just in to frustrate his transfer to any other club outside their choice. Osimhen's wage demand is the least of the problem here.

A sell-on clause, meaning Napoli would get a share of any future sale if Galatasaray sells Osimhen later

But Galatasaray has rejected these terms. They want to pay over a longer period, until 2027, and do not agree to giving Napoli a share of any future sale.

What Happens Next?
Because both clubs can’t agree, the transfer is now on hold. It’s not clear if Osimhen will get the move he wants before the new season starts.

Even if Osimhen decides to lower his wage, no sensible club will agree to the terms Napoli is putting up.

How do you mean there's nothing like guaranteed salary? Do you not understand how contracts work? The report said a 4 year deal which by implication means 4 years of guaranteed contract.

And oh, they can't just ship him anywhere they want, this isn't the NBA. If it doesn't work, he can work together with the club to find a new home, but he's not obligated contractually to move where he doesn't want to (even on a loan).

In today's game, teams switch formations to adapt to different changes. Finidi is saying understanding your roles, when to make changes is what leads to winning.

Bros leave this talk, now you are talking about switch formation, all still boils down to formation, whether run, stop, freerole, switch role, overlapping fullbacks, false are all interpretations of different formations coaches introduced into the game of football. The point is simple. It is important for player to know how to interpret their roles in any formation.Understanding how to interpret roles is more important. This can easily enable a coach to switch formation because players understand their roles.

Whether you play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2, or 4-5-1, that is not as important as players understanding how to play their roles in each formation. As soon as players understand interpretation, they can play better in what ever formation is set.

So Finidi prefers spending time in making players understand the ideas than focusing on just teaching a particular formation.

Formation is not the most important that wins games but the interpretation by the players. No matter the formation or tactics put on ground, if the players don't understand and interpret their roles, the formation won't succeed. So understanding roles and interpreting it is more important than formation.

This is one of the smartest tactical things I ever heard and it came from Finidi George. Increased my respect for him as a tactician.

Ogbeni you are contradicting yourself. Formation is not important but the interpretation, what are the players interpreting (formation). How a team attack or defend as a group is what we refer to as formation. So my dear goodjoe, Finidi was wrong and you are also wrong.
