Apply to as many schools as you can say like 10-15 because most schools don't accept HND. Try southwales, Swansea, Edinburgh Napier, Cardiff Metropolitan etc

Good morning, please do I indicate my travel history in my sop and how do I come about it..I need a simple explanation please
Frankrobbn1:

These courses are not difficult as you think. It's a prerequisite online course that can be completed within a month after proper training and preparations on ground. I believe she will be able to meet up with the grade stated (70%). On another note, if she doesn't meet up with the minimum requirement from the school she might not have a seat reserved for her in the accepted term and the 200k+ which she must have spent for the online courses will be forfeited.

There are good chances of securing a VISA with Royal Roads University BC, Canada. Although only a few number of applicants got their visa with this school, while others are still struggling after couple of refusals. Meanwhile, this is not to discourage you in any way but that's my honest observations about the school.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns as regards this matter, don't hesitate to seek for counsel.

It will end in praise.

What's the age range for PR?
Naijaforeigner:

(1) Getting a study permit inside Canada is not hard. All you need to do is pay the full 1st semester fees of your second program and have about 3,000Cad in your account and you are good to go.

(2) Almost same documents you used when applying from outside Canada.
I don't know what you mean by recommendation letter.

(3) You are advised to apply early for your second study permit Inside Canada. You can apply as early as 90 days before the expiration of your current study permit. CIC also strongly recommends you apply at least 30 days before the end of current study permit.

How early you should apply for a second program depends on how competitive the program is. My advise, apply as early as possible.
This is May, some students already applied for winter 2021 grin

(4) You are bringing money, why wont they accept you? Bro, they need you more than you need them. forget all this shakara wey dem dey do for students outside Canada. You can either apply to the same university or change schools. It is legal, acceptable and very common.

(5) It depends on the program. If it has a coop, why not?

(6) My second program is in a college. 8 months PGC. Although I got admission for a 16months masters, I did not follow through. 2 things I considered were cost and age. By the time I would be done with the Masters program, age may no longer be on my side towards getting a PR.

Please advice me for am scared
Frankrobbn1:

You may not have seen much approvals lately since the beginning of the part 17 thread. This is because everything has time and season. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. Funny enough, the refusals now can't be compared with the number of refusals we got late last year starting September 2019 - December 2019. This period of time was such a horrible experience for every member of this group. However applicants were still committed to the process and continued with their re-application.

My honest advise based on my personal experiences to prospective applicants who were recently delayed of their visas, is to get up on their feet again. Take this time to reflect, refuel and refocus on your application, try to do something different in your next application if it would warrant you including relevant documents/informations to substantiate that your situation has changed.

Reflecting and analysing the whole situation would help you see your mistakes in good light. Always learn from your past mistakes by re-strategizing and improving on your application. I spoke to a few number of applicants yesterday, having had an educative and interesting conversations with them about their delayed applications and documents attached, I learnt that some of these applicants were also architect to their problems. It's either there were going for a lower qualiifation, or there is no sufficient ties in the application. But that's by the way.

I have already seen so many people backing off due to the sudden refusals from IRCC. Please distinguished ladies and giants, Never give up on your dreams and always remind yourself how important and significant this Canadian journey is to you. The incentives that accompanies it and if not, for the sake of your kids.

I believe this would give you the energy and strength to push further the next time. All hope is never lost my people, stop nursing the thoughts of where you could have been if your Visa was granted, and start thinking of where to be. It is said once there is life; there is hope. You have to find an inner encouragement or motivation to get back up and start again. Be consistent as possible and have this at the back of your mind that "A knock down is not a knock out and you are not truly defeated until you’ve given up."

Ask yourself What Do I Need To Do Differently?: At this stage you ought to have pointed out the reasons why your visa was refused by the visa officer. What have you done wrong?, and what you should have done. This is an opportunity given by the visa officer to start better. Re-strategize and give it another push. Ask yourself the second time “what do I need to acquire, stop or improve on”? in an effort to better your approval chances.

If you want to get back on your feet and on track as soon as possible, you need others. Canada immigration is not something you can do alone, you need professional advice that will guide you towards the right path. If you face any difficulty in your application, or have concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here for counsel. Once you're done crafting an world winning SOP/LOE, try to contact some of the knowledgeable gurus here to vet and make appropriate recommendations in the letter to be sure you've done something new and expecting a different result (approval).

I believe the time for approval rains would come in a short while from now.

Finally, do not underestimate the power and grace of God Almighty whenever you put in your application. He still remains the author and finisher and he has absolute control over the visa officers at the embassy.

Keep faith guys and remain positive.

As always, It will end in praise!

Sorry to ask, what if I want to come see my sick mum?
Naijaforeigner:

Don't be sorry for asking questions bro.

That's all lies. Many international students travel back to their country once they are done with their program. On completion of your program, PGWP application takes 3 -4 months. So many students spend that time in their country to chill and then come back to Canada close to when their PGWP will be ready and it has no -ve effect on your PR. The most important thing is for your visa to be valid upon return to Canada.

While having your programs, you are also allowed to travel. I travelled to USA last year and yes I will be in Nigeria towards the end of the year when it is very safe to travel. Lots of international students go to USA for summer/spring breaks.

However, don't leave Canada to Nigeria while still a student except you have a very good reason. Those immigration officials at POE will ask you funny questions when returning.

Hello Francejaik,

Your funds is insufficient. If you feel your aunty is more capable then go ahead to use her. However, if you desire, you can (indirectly) hint on her financial availability so people can easily advise you.

All the best
