What's the commonwealth part about? Perhaps we should create a new thread titled "Yorubas In Diaspora News Thread"?

Aareonakakanfo should be sleeping in his base now.

When he comes online, when he wakes up, he will change the title to whatever title you want.

We are ready to obey you Sir.

Thanks. May Edumare Bless You Sir.

Welcome idea.. Thank you & now that your attention has been caught, could you kindly enjoin one of your mods to make a post about how to avoid the bot & the words to avoid...

It is tiring to type epistle that has no cuss word, isn't insulting or castigating anyone & have the bot swallow it & ban the OP for good measures.... Not everyone likes creating multiple monikers.. Thank you for your co operation..

Good morning Aunty. Now that they have freed your moniker, please re-post the rejoinder you wanted to post.

Aku imura Odun, odun a ya abo ooooooo.

General Aareonakakanfo, please come and respond to Seun.

MayorofLagos:

Hello Shymmex,
First, what took Bini to Lagos, what was their business there? Bini itself did not have domain on the coast, it was an hinterland seat of political power. Lagos was under constant invasion by Dahomey and at a point the Idejo chiefs sent to Alaafin for protection against the raids from Dahomey. The Aworis did not have a constituted army or navy force and were not warriors. They did not wage war against other territories and neither was a war waged against them, but their land was blessed with agricultural produce. Since Dahomey was in constant war and battles attacking neighbouring states or defending against them, hardly any time was spent by these people growing food, so they raided for food and produce.

The defense of Lagos was impractical for Oyo because their horses were part of the army force and victory against an enemy depended on their health and well being. The risk of loosing the horses to sickness increases the farther they marched South and to the coast. Oyo turned the Idejo Chiefs to Bini for help.

Binis fought on foot and on waters but not at sea since they were not a sea people. Lagos is on the sea. Bini needed a sea force. This is where Ilaje came in.

Agba L'etu.

Omode L'awo.

Agba O Ni Tan L'orile

Thanks for the Lecture Sir.

Peeps let shame the omo ale by keeping the fire of this thread burning. And put him to the same disgrace he faced, when the secret of wanting to snatch one of his mods girlfriend was blown in the open.

Colonel is angry.

Ogagun, e ma bi'nu.

I hope he restores the thread to Politics Section, otherwise na GOODNIGHT sure pass.

Seun:
I've spent more time looking at this thread. It truly started out as a political thread, but then people decided to change it into a thread for all things Yoruba, thus turning it into something that rationally belongs to the culture section. Since people feel strongly about having this thread in the Politics section, I thing the best thing we can do is to refocus it on the original purpose.

My humble proposal is to rename this thread as "Yoruba Political News Thread", move it back to the politics section, and put it on the home page. What do you think?

Also we will offer amnesty to most of those who broke rule 2 and rule 20 over the moving of this thread, but further violations will not be tolerated. I take responsibility for the politics section situation since I have not said anything to the moderators.

General Seun, have you ever visited Anambra and other SE threads? You need to go there and see what they discuss. It has always been everything Igbo. I have visited the threads, so I know what I am saying. You can visit the threads and see for yourself.

If those threads could stay in Politics Section for years, how come ours that is only 5-week old must be moved to Culture Section?

If you noticed, none of us ever bothered to open a complaint thread in Politics Section to call you out. We believed it's unnecessary. People have decided to say GOODNIGHT yesterday, your mods have been banning us and hiding names of Successful Yoruba's that we post. We have always repeated such post, we have been through a lot in the hands of your Igbo mods but we decided it's unnecessary to open a complaint thread.

Anyway, you are still the Conmmander-In-Chief. So, General Seun, whatever you wish is okay by us. We are at your mercy, if this thread is moved back to Politics Section, then we shall all abide by your rules and good to go.

If it remains in Culture Section, then we can say GOODNIGHT.

You are a Yoruba. You are supposed to be one of us. Everyone is surprised that we have to beg you to have mercy on us, your kinsmen.

It is well.

Thanks and Edumare Bless You.

I think Shym3xx mentioned the option of another platform.

It really needs to be looked into. Besides, Nairaland lacks a proper competitor/competition though.

Yeah, it's high time we explored that option.

We shouldn't allow Mr Traffic to kill the fire. I am still surprised.

A Yoruba working against Yoruba's interest. Wonder shall never ends.

How did that Akintoshitt got his Prof?

The idiatu deserves to be shot in the head. The bastard should keep his rotten mouth shot and stop causing confusion.

We are talking about security of lives and properties, the goat is talking about hijab.

Is hijab more important than life?

Some Yoruba people dey fall my hand, some idiots should stop talking.

I'm sick of religion brouhaha in this country, some religions should be scrapped. All they do is causing confusion. Nansense.
