I believe he was just being biblical. Every sane mind who's highly educated knows that there's no heaven or hell - if anything, both exist on this planet. The good and bad times.

Heaven and hell were just created to scare folks to embrace religion during the medieval ages. However, there might be afterlife cos all ancient cultures did allude to that and that has absolutely nothing to do with judgement day or the biblical heaven and hell.

There's no "good" or "bad" in life - everything just depends on ya mentality and what governs ya conscience. Let's leave religious folks alone to do their thing. If religion guides them to be righteous and embrace humanity, who are we to critique their choice? It's all about loving humanity.

I'm not an atheist - I do believe in the most high, supreme being, and the maker. But I believe we all should just allow everyone do whatever they want to do, if enhancing humanity is the nucleus of their beliefs.

If Pastor Adeboye saw she had fulfilled those tenets as laid out in the Scriptures, would he be so wrong as to say she was in heaven, if he was convinced she had met the scriptural qualifications to gain access into that realm?? Even Jesus Christ told one of the thieves that was crucified along with him: "Today, thou shalt be with me in Paradise." Would you say He had no right to do so?

I do not want to start quoting scriptures, as this thread is not a platform for such things. But please be rest assured that the Bible is clear on what an individual needs to do, to enter heaven. If any individual meets the criteria, what would hinder him from gaining entry into the place??

Why the hate?? There are certain things that parishioners discuss with their pastors or vicars, in confidence. She wanted to become 'born-again', or needed an assurance of God's salvation, in order to be able to cross through the portals of eternity, with peace of mind. She must have felt the end was near, and wanted to prepare her mind, for the great beyond.

He must have led her in prayers and confession of sins, so that she could feel some reassurance about her relationship with God. Well, these are just my own thoughts. The relationship between man and God is an intensely personal one. It cannot be lived through others. However, a spiritual leader can help guide a person along the spiritual path.

Yet, it's wrong for PastorPrenuer Adeboye to bullshit us that he was sure Mama HID was in heaven. He is not God nah, so how could he have known when he's not God. Don't tell me it was a revelation from God oooooo.

Adeboye: I Am Sure HID Awolowo Is In Heaven


The General Overseer, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said he has no doubt in his mind that the late matriarch of the Awolowo family, Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, is resting with the Lord.

He said this on Tuesday while holding a private prayer session with the family at their Ikenne residence.

The cleric, who arrived the Awolowo home at 1pm, headed straight to the Efunyela Hall, where the prayer session was held with family members, relations, friends and other well wishers in attendance.

He said, “By the special grace of God and because of my interaction with Mama, I have no doubt at all that she is in heaven now.”

Adeboye, who shared his experience with the audience on how he was privileged to confirm that Mama was resting in heaven, explained that he had a personal encounter with her two weeks before her death.

He said, “Before Mama passed on, she was making a request and I was contacted. I won’t go into details about the request but I was abroad and when I came back I saw her and we had a little discussion before she passed away. As a result of that, I have no doubt that Mama is resting with the Lord.”
