MayorofLagos: Okay Sir. I believe it's wrong for the Biafrans to protest in Lagos. I believe they are only looking for trouble, they want to involve us in their agitation which I believe does not concern us. I don't know where I got it wrong. Thanks. |

Musiwa419: Protest is not a problem if it's approved by the police. But this their Biafra protest in Lagos, in my opinion, may cause problem. They should have done their protest in SE or SS. Police should not have approved the protest, it's wrong. They'll be chanting songs to bash Yoruba during the protest which may lead to confrontation. If 'awon boys' attack them in Lagos, they would attack our people in SE then we would descend heavily on their people in SW. It looks like a setup to me, we shouldn't fall for the bait. They are hell bent on involving us in their Biafra wahala, we should ensure we don't involve ourselves whatsoever. I wish them luck in their agitation, yet I believe it's none of our business. God Bless Yorubaland. 1 Like |

9jacrip: Ase wa. E ku ile la n ki ara ile, e ku ona la n ki ero ona. Mo ki gbogbo ile, oni a dara fun wa ooooooo. Good morning Brother Mii. I have some questions again, hin dabo hin mo bi'nu si mi gbain. Is it true that Oduduwa came with the Are Crown from Heaven/Saudi Arabia where he came from or the Are Crown had been worn by the King in Ife before the arrival of Oduduwa. Who was the King? Was he Lamurudu or not? This one is controversial. Please help me out. Did Oduduwa really come down from Heaven or he came from Saudi Arabia? I only know he arrived with chains, the chains are still in a fenced compound(I think it's called Ile Oduduwa) beside Olomowewe Maternity Hospital Enuwa. The machine(I think it's payloader) that some Oyinbos wanted to use to dig out the chains is still there rotten in the compound. Legend has it that some white men went to Ile-Ife many years ago to dig out the chains and take to their country but the machine stopped working and white men were bitten by bees. Please respond. 9jacrip: Thanks Bawse. Agba O Ni Tan Lor'ile. When I saw picture of New Ooni coming out of a forest, I thought to myself, could it be Igbo Itapa where the coronation rites was performed. But I never asked you because I know it's an Asiri, I'm not an Initiate and we are on internet. Traditional religion is really interesting. I grew up watching Olojo Festival on Ilare. I was so glad the day I touched late Ooni inside Olodo Compound. I touched his right arm, I was glad and told everyone. That should be early 90s. I remember Edi festival and various festivals. Isese Lagba. Tradition is Supreme. O daaro. |

Musiwa419: What they do to themselves on their threads is terrible. They sometimes travel to one another states to go and take picture of ghettos and paste on nl. It's always been Imo vs Anambra or Abia vs Anambra or Enugu vs Anambra or Anambra vs Ebonyi. It's always been Anambra shaaa. And we all know the Anambra dude who promised to denounce Anambra if they cut off his Town(Uga) from the State. The dude can kill for his state. He's a clown and interesting dude, his problem is he doesn't stop whenever he starts bashing any SE state no matter the pleas from people. Those dudes are something else. They always claim superiority. Everybody is a boss. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Hahahahahahahaahah I spent years with those dudes on Ilare and Sabo. I've been eating suya at Sabo since 1988(my older brother took me there before I became chairman of suya joints in 90s). They are friendly if there's no crises but they lose their senses when crisis starts. From DHQ to where I'm working now, I've always been with them. Good guys only if there's no crisis, they show no mercy the moment they start the killings. Those dudes are something else. I was in Abuja in 2002 during the Miss World crisis, they destroyed many street light poles at Central Area and Wuse Zone 3 and 4. They burnt cars and injured many people. Melo melo ni fo se so nipa awon people yen. They always listen to BBC, the educated ones follow online while the poor ones listen to transistor radio. No matter how poor an Abok1 is, he must own a transistor radio. Those guys are current. The problem they have is bad leadership. Their leaders don't give a damn about them, they just want them to remain poor so that they will keep chanting rankadede alhaji on jumat days and earn peanut from alhajis. Their leaders really F them. God bless Pa Awolowo in HEAVEN(yeah, I'm sure) that he is today. If Papa Awolowo was a God or gods, I would have worhipped him. He and His Team Are The Best. modath: E se pupo. Do agric, it pays. Yes ooooooo. I didn't want to post the news here yet until it's confirmed by APC themselves that Abubakar Audu is an Arsenal Fan(A Gonner). Too bad if truly the dude had expired. The Igalas are gonna cry, I have interacted with some of them and they've all told me the same thing. "They are not going to let either a Yoruba or Ebira govern Kogi State and any party who fields a candidate that's not Igala has lost already". They want to rule that state forever even though the Igalas that had ruled the state so far have failed woefully. It will look as if it was arranged(a coup) for an Igala to emerge victorious in a gubernatorial election and an Okun to be sworn-on. Anyway sha, let's wait till we confirm whether he's dead or not. Left for me, that dude should have retired and be enjoying young punnies on Wellignton Beach. I'm going to enjoy life on various beaches across the world before I return to heaven or hell-fire. Life is good. |

IyaIode: Amen ooo Aunty. We would have had religion crisis in Osun if not for awareness and education. The Alfas have been brainwashing their followers yet the followers have not started attacking people up till now. I believe they find it hard to attack their own people. That is why I frowned at the strategy used by PDP and Omisore to wrestled power from Aregbesola. They called him Boko Haram and various derogatory names in his first tenure. During the campaign, Omisore said he was going to return public schools to the missionaries who built the schools. If the schools are returned to the missionaries, non-christian students may be discouraged from attending such public schools. If that should happen(God forbid), we would have Boko Haram Terrorists in Osun and South West in general in the next 10years. Those kids must never be discouraged from attending pulic schools. They learn a lot in 12years they spend in schools. Lord Have Mercy. 1 Like |

IyaIode: Whaooooo You remind me of Akindeko Mosque at FUTA. Would you believe if I told you they have weapons in the mosque? Some years ago(I think 2002) there was a jihad fight at FUTA between the Alfas and christian students. A preacher was preaching somewhere around Akindeko(not near the mosque ooo), an Alfa went to meet him and beat the preacher to stupor(All the Alfas are martial artist. By Alfa I mean the guys who wear three quarter, not muslims in general). People hear him shouting and went out to free him, they later descended on the Alfa and gave him the beating of his life. The Alfa's colleague called an emergency jihad prayer and started attacking after the prayer. Akindeko boys were waiting for them but when they finisheded prayer and brought about their weapons Akindeko boys ran. They ran to get weapons and launch return leg. They had upper hand because Akindeko boys are many than the Alfas. They have always had beef because the Alfas always complain whenever Akindeko boys are watching their Jogunomi(porn) in midnight(no pocketing). Mopol were invited to quell the fight, the authority later shut the school. The so-called preachers also have their own fault. They always disburb people with their preaching wahala. I remember a 500-L so-called pastor student was beaten by the security because he was preaching inside Big LT in 2004. It lead to crisis and authority shut the school. Infact, if I had my way, I would ban the two religions. Wahala esin mejeeji ti po ju. Kilode. 3 Likes 1 Share |

IyaIode: Good one ma'am. Even though religion discussion is sensitive and almost everyone shy away from involving in religion discussion yet we will have to talk about it at the appropriate time. Churches are creating nuisance, our pastors are turning themselves to demi-gods(they sometimes tell married women what to do contrary to what the husband wants), most of them are 19, infact the list is endless. I have been to various churches when I was in Ife. Here in Abuja, I have attended about 7 churches. I have seen things. Our Imams is another discussion entirely. We might have religion extremism in Osun in few years especially the oyo-speaking part of Osun state. There was an Islamic preacher that used to come to Osun to preach about Islam, his preaching was all about bashing Christianity and calling Jesus a thief He said Jesus commanded one of his boys to steal a donkey, I attended the so-called Ife-for-Islam program at Stadium some years ago. The dude stopped coming to Osun when issue of Boko Haram became rampant. Truth is, we have some radical Muslims in Osun, it's not been easy for their followers to attack people because we are interwoven. Lord deliver us from religious fanaticism. How I wish everyone could be like me. I attend church like twice in a month and I have stopped attending Padre-Hour at work. I believe there is God yet I don't allow a Pastor to tell me how to live my life. I'm Igboro bam bam(Ilare to the core), so I don't fall for their bullshitt easily. Lord Take Control. |

Mayor made a good point yet I think there's no crime in trying. We also have the talents. Boxing is another sport where I think our boys will do well if they have the facility to train and good boxing promoter. We have some good boxers. God this online............. Nigerian boxers lack supports that can make them world champion, says Ajose Former World Boxing Title Challenger, Olusegun Ajose, says Nigerians boxers lack the necessary support and adequate preparations that can make them world champions. The United Kingdom (UK) based-boxer told pressmen in Lagos on Thursday that these inadequacies were responsible for most of the country’s boxers’ dismal performance at the world championships. “Despite our passion for the country, there is little we can do at the world stage because without the necessary financial support and adequate preparations to win world championships. “The stake is very high at that level; it requires more than passion and love for the country’s boxers to win the world championship and make the nation proud,’’ Ajose said. He said that Nigeria had talents in various sports but lack financial resources to take on their counterparts from other countries at the international competitions. Ajose said that sports could be used to project the image of Nigeria within the international community. Ajose said that Nigeria has a long and proud history of boxing, “with the many benefits the sport can offer the country in terms of self-discipline and health for the youth. “It is hoped that President Muhammadu Buhari will support the initiative to deliver the country into a new era of World Champions,’’ Ajose said. He said that a detailed plan has been put together, which the boxers will deliver to the President. “The aim is to make Nigerian boxers World Champions in the next 18 months. “The specific aim is to ensure that the country’s world champions kick start a sporting legacy for the youth of Nigeria, which the whole country can be proud of. “It will engender national unity and bring sporting glory to the country, whilst also improving the country’s image internationally,’’ Ajose said. Another UK-based Nigerian boxer, Larry Ekundayo, said that lack of support had led to most Nigerian athletes not doing well at home. The two boxers were in the country to take part in the 2015 Diaspora Day in Abuja. The boxer’s manager, Ben Gray, said if the two boxers were British, they could have been world champions by now. “It’s a fact that these two fine Nigerians will have been world champions by now had they been Americans or Britons. “However, as they are Nigerians they have suffered lack of support from previous governments and faced horrendous racism overseas. “With the present administration, and the Nigerian Change Agenda in place, we hope we can deliver to the country great sporting success and deliver a plan for increased health and self-respect for Nigerian youths,’’ Gray said. Also, Bimbo Afolayan, the Special Adviser to the boxers, said that the boxers were invited to be part of this year’s Diaspora Day celebration and see how they can help Nigerian youths in the field of sports. “They are two individuals that make Nigeria proud in UK, and we know that they can be sources of motivation for home-based boxers. “The challenge now is how they can work with the media and governments toward progressing in their chosen career,’’ Afolayan said. Meanwhile, the duo of Ajose and Ekundayo said that they would visiting the national camp to motivate the boxers preparing for the forthcoming 11th All Africa Games. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/nigerian-boxers-lack-supports-that-can-make-them-world-champion-says-ajose/ |
