I am not sure politician.

Try to understand what I am saying. I did not use the word propaganda to debunk the report.

I am only telling you that the politicians are majorly responsible for the over bloated recurrent expenditure, which is not a true reflection of the actual recurrent expenditure.

You are right Bro. That's what they do.

Cursed be the day people voted Aregbesola in Osun State.

Woe betides the judge who pronounced AregbeUseless as the authentic winner of the 2007 gubernatorial election.

If Osun people had known AregbeUseless would ruin Osun State completely, we wouldn't have voted for the Oloriburuku Somebody in 2007.

We made a mistake voting the clueless as our governor.

The pics attached were taken in Oct. 2010 when AregbeUseless was declared winner of the 2007 gubernatorial election by the Unfortunate Judge who put us in this mess.

am glad our eyes are now being opened to the havoc being caused by our southwest leaders. am happy we can now see that they have started mortgaging the future of our unborn kids with debts. we need a new set of leaders and we need it fast. we need technorats, visionaries , people with sound mind people who can see the future and prepare us for upcoming events. this set we have now are just there. they have no idea what leadership is all about. during fashion's' screening , I watched as he tried to defend his huge debt in Lagos saying big economies are always indebted. and I was the really ashamed because of all the over 100 senators we had, no one was intelligent enough to counter fashola and tell him debt is not always the way. mehn this country is messed up. I told my friend last week the there is a woman somewhere pregnant with tomiwa. tomiwa does not know what's happening but tomiwa is already in debt......future unborn generations have been put in debt by the reckless attitude of our so called leaders now what will the future hold for someone that is yet to be born but already in debt...like I said earlier, we need a new crop of leaders and we need them fast.

I saw the Oloriburuku Somebody too, I felt like breaking the screen of the tv in my office when the goat started blabbing. And the brainless senators could not counter him, they made him look like a star.

Fashola is nothing but an over-rated average achiever. I can say it anywhere. There are lot of Yoruba people who can do better.

We are in trouble. Southwest is in deep trouble. These goats are ready to burrow more. Before the Oloriburuku Somebodies are voted out in 2018/2019, they would have incurred debts in trillions of naira.

We don enter one chance. PDP is not a way out either.

I think a new political party is what we need. Otherwise, I fear for the future of our unborn children.

Sad.

The onus lies on us to start the campaign against this fraudulent people, that plunged our states into irredeemable debt.

They stole the money for their great grand children and they expect the children of.others to repay it.

Osun remains the worst. There is no value for money in anyway. There is no correlation between the indebtedness and the infrastructure on ground at all.

Egbon, I have given up on that BASTARD called AregbeUseless.

That's exactly when I'm scared for Fashola for taking two massive portfolios. Anyone who followed his tenure in Lagos closely - without the world class branding, publicity, and media campaign - would know that Fashola is overrated. Then again Lagos is overpopulated and effective governance is impossible in that state. Anyway, that's his problem - it won't be long before those singing his praise start cursing him out. Like a wise man once said, "the mouth they praise you with would be the one they'll curse you with".

I believe that's why these folks want the huge and unnecessary population in Lagos to mask their incompetence. With all the assets in the state, you don't need that huge population for maximise IGR, if well managed. But Lagos is out of it cos they can always tout the IGR vis-a-vis the debts to save face. But the debt is just too freaking much.

As for the rest of the SW - they have finished Yorubaland. So these mofos are running the states on a deficit from recurrent expenditure alone? They all need to be stripped nak3d and whipped like the Ondo youths did the fraudulent Eze. Tinubu and his minions have finished Yorubaland. Who'll pay back all these debts?

There are no welfare programmes in these states, so why is the recurrent expenditure that enormous?

Well said Duke.

Shymm3x:

That's why I don't post to these accursed political jobbers - they're selling away their own future and the future of their kids for a plate of porridge. The Passingshiit of this world and his amala brain and ar3sa the heifer stuck on Tinubu's balls like pubic hair. I despise these vacuous miscreants.
They have destroyed Yorubaland. I honestly don't know how these states can be salvaged with how they have mismanaged everything. I've never seen a case where recurrent expenditure alone is higher than revenue - never!
It's just basically earning £2000 monthly, and spending £3000 - what type of fvcked up life is that? Who does that?

I hate political praise-singers with passion. They are nothing but saboteurs. They will never say the truth laye.

The question is, HOW DO WE GET OUT OF THIS MESS? HOW DO WE PAY THE DEBTS?

I'm tired mehn. O sun mi.

From the table above it can be deduced that Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Katsina and Enugu are the top 5 states with the highest leftover cash even after meeting monthly obligations; while Osun, Plateau, Ogun, Nasarawa and Oyo are the bottom 5 states as well as the states with the greatest inability to meet monthly payments without having to borrow.
Perhaps interesting to note, is the fact that Osun state's monthly shortfall is larger than the monthly shortfalls of Ekiti, Bauchi, Abia, Kaduna, Zamfara, Imo and Gombe, combined.

On a region-by-region basis, it can also be deduced that:

1. In the South-South, all other states are green except Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom.

2. In the South-East, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra are able to meet recurrent obligations, but Imo and Abia are unable to.

3. In the South-West, Lagos is the only state currently meeting its recurrent obligations while all other sister states, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun and Osun, are unable to.

4. Taraba and Yobe are the only North-Eastern states without monthly shortfalls

5. Niger, Benue and Kogi are the only North-Central states currently without shortfalls.

6. Zamfara and Kaduna are the only North-West states with shortfalls.

SOUTH WEST GOVERNORS HAVE FAILED US. INCLUDING THE USELESS Tinubu.

THEY ARE NOTHING BUT FAILURES.

The debts are a big problem. SS states are rich states and they have the luxury to acquire debts. These Yoruba states don't get that much, what are they doing with such debts, when they have nothing to show for it?

Anyway, the biggest problem there is the ability of states to meet recurrent expenditure. All Yoruba states, except Lagos, are being run on budget deficit, with recurrent expenditure alone - and that's without capital expenditure. So how are these states thriving then?

These folks are the biggest rogues ever. We need new leaders and a new party. Why some of them haven't made the forbes list is a mystery to me.

You've said it all Duke.

Our SW governors are useless and shameless. Fashola kept borrowing till he left office, yet most of the capital projects which he borrowed for were not completed. Truth is, the IGR and allocation from FG are not in proportion with what is on ground.

The useless Tinubu did not help matter either, he never cautioned the useless governors to stop borrowing so far they are paying their monthly dues. The bastards have mortgaged the future of SW states with debts.

Fashola as far as I'm concerned is an over-hyped achiever. He left hundreds of billions of debt for the Clueless Fat Boy. It's quite unfortunate we find ourselves in this mess.

All the states in SW are owing. Imagine osun state owing 52bn.

Yeah I took the school uniform brouhaha personal because it was not right for any religion to impose itself on a system that belongs to all of us.

I took on one of Aregbe's lawyer on my position of argument and demanding answers from him. They had to agree that the position is right and that was demonstrated by the judgement in Lagos.

Your right stops when you start infringing on the rights of others. Nobody was forced to go to school. When you decided to go to school, you have actually agreed to set your right aside and follow the rules and regulations that governs that controlled environment.

I could not stand him throwing my peaceful town into chaos despite th fact that the town has decades of history of good working relationships among the religions.

Islam is very strong there. Baptist is very strong too, likewise egungun festival. The whole community contributed towards Bowen University, irrespective of the religion.

It wa very personal to me. It was Aregbe's mad policy carried too far for me.

Religion was one of the reasons why Omisore lost the election to AregbeUseless.

During his campaign, Omisore said he was going to return public schools to the missionaries. Even if he was going to do that, he should have done that after he must have emerged victorious.

I wouldn't have made such costly mistake in a state like Osun where about 60% of the populace are muslems.

Also, prior to the election, PDP made some mistakes. They demonize AregbeUseless. They called him Boko Haram. They said he was going to impose Islam religion on people in Osun State. The dude said his sister is a christian, if he couldn't forced his sister to remain in Islam how would he impose Islam on Osun people when his Ijesha kinsmen are mostly christians.

They also accused of attempting to carve Osun State out of Nigeria, the accusation was baseless.

The final blow was to field Omisore as the gubernatorial candidate against the wish of major stakeholders in the party.

Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke could have won if PDP fielded him against AregbeUseless. Serubawon was embarrassed and forced out of PDP. The dude decamped to APC and later got senatorial ticket.

I believe they have learnt their lessons.

It's quite unfortunate PDP couldn't put their house in order, that goat would have been sent back to Lagos.

Only God knows when we are going to get out of this financial mess caused by OyinUseless and AregbeUseless.

They've both brought the state to its knees. O sun mi.

Also, they need to encourage investors to invest in private rail lines.

Lagos-Abuja, Lagos-Calabar, Lagos-Jos(through Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Anambra, Enugu, Kogi, Benue, Plateau), Abuja-Kano, Abuja-Sokoto, Abuja-Calabar, Abuja-PHC. NorthEast is a no go area for now.

There are lots of Trillionares in this country who do not know what to do with their wealth.

Government only need to create an enabling environment, there is no need to be afraid of sabotage from cabals because most of the cabals are going to show interest and invest into the private rail lines.

Like I'd earlier said, the most important factor is the Political Will. If we are willing, everything is possible.

In my own opinion, states do not have the fund to generate sufficient electricity for the populace.

What I think FG should do is to scrap the old privatization and issue licenses to IPP firms for various states.

Each IPP company should focus on a state for electricity generation, transmission and distribution.

Firms may merge to cater for a state.

FG must ensure the power firms produce stable electricity, pre-paid meter and utility cards.

Fashola would only supervise the whole process, tell me how he won't succeed if he has the support of Presidency.

Cabals will have no option than to invest into power sector and make more legit money.

The most important thing is political will. If we are willing, we can make it happen. It's not a further maths for crying out loud.
