Besides making agriculture better, the other goal is to feed, not kill.
If you want to see those who kill, its here

Look my friend, you cannot use your hydroponic mumbojumbo to feed about 35 Million people with voracious appetite. Don't promise what you cannot deliver. If you are travelling to some far away planet and you need to grow your own food, I would say maybe.
But, Okoros will simply go bunkers if your hydropo doesn't deliever garri.
lol
Igbos will feed themselves using conventional agriculture+hydroponics+aeroponics+rack farming+other new technologies that innovators like me will see thru before the time they are needed (that is, after we have milked your land dry)lol

ekpeye people have the stronger identity crisis than any other igbo tribe,i have never met an ekpeye person who would accept the igbo tag,the easiest way to get lynched is to tell them they are igbo, the least they can accept is igboid, the educated ones among them will easily tell you that igboid=ekpeye+igbo.I think their problem is inferiority complex.
I met one of them in a bank in okigwe,he was making a call, and he was speaking a language i was sure is igbo but i could only understand 3% of what he was saying,he was having problem with the bank security man who was insisting he should off his phone, out of curiousity i decided to check out his withdrawal booklet,i saw that his first name sounds non igbo but the surname was AGUIYI,when asked if he was igbo, the dude got so explosive and made it clear that he is ekpeye and cannot be igbo.
There is one of them here in nland who wil not hesitate to derail this thread if he sees bayelsa in this thread, bottomline, akwa ibom can be included but not bayelsa
I guess it depends on whom you meet. I know Ekpeye people who readily agree that they are Igbo.

This thread is about agriculture. If you want Igbos in hard-core science, we still pass una there. It is only in babalawo-ing that we cannot compete.

In the West, Igbos take charge
In the East Yorubas cannot take charge, why is that so?

Okigbo was a colossus while at IITA. The greatest agriculturalist produced by Nigeria.

Professor Bede N. Okigbo is the renowned agronomist and retired Director of  the World Agricultural Institute in Japan, former Director of the United Nations Institute for Agricultural Research in Africa, Accra, Ghana, and the former Deputy Director-General of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan, Nigeria. He is widely regarded as Africa’s leading Agricultural scientist.

Hydroponic ko, hydrochloric ni! You are a very amusing fellow.
You wait until we begin to feed you, both by our ''hydroponics innovation'' and by our scientists at your backyard (IITA) grin grin grin

Akobundu wrote the only book considered as the bible of weed science for the tropics. If you did not read that book, you had not studied weed science in college.lol

.     .     .   like Emeagwali being the greatest scientist ever?

Ibo people and their loud mouth. If we check now, the guy might be nothing more than a janitor, yet he is proclaimed as the greatest weed scientist by his people.
Lonk on Akobundu, though quite old news.

The man is now somewhere here in the US as a distinguished professor of weed science. Or he could be retired now, not sure.

If any iboman is waiting for your hydroponic nonsense, he will simply starve to death.
Ouchh. The realization that Yoruba feeding themselves will depend on Igbo scientists at IITA must have hurt. Pele. No be our fault.

So if you are depending on IITA to feed yourselves, you will most certainly be depending on an Igbo man

I'd rather have a premier African/International agric institute in my zone than a poorly funded local one that cannot even afford to maintain its website  tongue

Maybe I should chip in $15 to pay their internet fees for the month grin
While it is in your zone, is it being funded by your zone? No. Also it is located elsewhere within Nigeria and its research is widespread far beyond your zone
Be it known to you that IITA has some financial crisis that may lead to its closure (from Nigeria); when that happens you are finished.

Oh!! Was it for IITA Eko Ile was bragging about how you guys will feed yourselves? That is a non-starter. IITA has been there since the 1960s/70s and you still import from the North. lol
