NewsenseNG:
🚨 “PRODUCE MY HUSBAND” — WIFE CRIES OUT 16 MONTHS AFTER GLOBACOM WORKER’S ALLEGED ABDUCTION

Mrs. Fumi Adetona has appealed for help in locating her husband, Mr. Olaoluwa Adetona, a rollout manager with Globacom Nigeria, who she says was allegedly abducted in Imo State on May 6, 2025.

According to Fumi, her husband was on a site-acquisition assignment with two expatriates when they were reportedly kidnapped. She said the two expatriates were later released, while her husband remained missing.

She alleged that the family was not promptly informed by the company and that, despite repeated visits to Lagos and Imo State, meetings with company officials, police intervention and several letters from lawyers, the family has yet to receive a satisfactory explanation about his whereabouts.

She also said the family was initially told ransom payments had been made and that her husband would be released, but he never returned.

“My children are not seeing their daddy and they keep asking me every day, ‘Where is their dad?’” she said.

The distraught wife also disclosed that her husband’s father died earlier this year, which she said was linked to the emotional burden of the situation, while his mother is reportedly seriously ill.

Rejecting suggestions that her husband may have been killed, Fumi said the family had not been presented with evidence confirming his death.

“There is no proof that he is dead. They should produce my husband,” she said.

She is now appealing to the Federal Government, security agencies, Globacom and the public to help unravel what happened to her husband and ensure that he is accounted for.

Something doesn't sound right here. Expatriates were released after ransom was paid but the guy was probably killed or sold off to another group because he's a Nigerian. I pray the guy is returned back to his family but am afraid that may not happen. Another question is who actually kidnapp them, is it herdmen or unknown gunmen, because if it's the latter then the guy is gone for good.

When the first report about Gentle's capture broke the internet, I wrote here on Nairaland that there was no evidence to that. Gentle d Yahoo can only be captured by local forces and people from his community not by external forces. The blood sucking vampire was a member of ESN before being appointed the commander of a unit in Biafra Liberation Army. This was an armed militia setup by Simon Ekpa to kick out the Nigerian Army from the southeast. Since they had no access to technology and advanced weapons, they decided to deploy demons and vampires for the operation. To be a commander in this group, you must be a high class deadly killer. Your rank is determined by the number of Nigerian soldiers that you have neutralized. Gentle d Yahoo is the owner of the Facebook page 'Biafra or Biafra'. During his rumored capture, the page was still active and he was uploading videos to the page. Last year, he tagged the Army's official Facebook page to a post where he shared graphic images showing the dead bodies of about 70 Nigerian soldiers killed in one attempt to penetrate his camp. This guy is the new Derico of the southeast. Those who where born during the days of Derico knew that he was never captured by the military or police. The people who banned Bakassi did the southeast dirty. They could have restructured it instead. In my next article, I will be writing on why such operations to capture Gentle is not meant for the military and police
You have a point but I don't completely agree with you. The Nigerian army will get in before the year runs out. NA has the personnel, intelligence and the necessary backing to get him apprehended. This guy has step in some very important people and the case is closed.

Atiku' s idea is laughable, and the notion he's implying of trump's approval is significant in our national economic decision is frankly ridiculous. All these BS is making Tinubu a genius in the face of decision taking while Atiku who is suppose to be a potential strong opposition to the president seems clueless. Why the man is sucking up to Trump who may be facing impeachment by next year January is beyond me. Tinubu has taken some drastic economic decisions which is affecting the livelihood of Nigerians, that alone is a factor to convince us to rethink reelecting Tinubu, but if he will be running to Trump for advice of how to run the country, then it's better for him to stay at Adamawa.

In the estate where I live, there is no power because the whole of the area is on Band E, and I'm the only tenant who uses Band A electricity. Having no power, in order for us to pump water, each tenant, including myself, takes turns buying 4L of fuel and handing it to the caretaker, who uses his generator to pump the water. We pump water 15 times a month during the rainy seasons and 20 times a month during the dry seasons, averaging around #11k per tenant a month just to pump water. And it has been like this for over 2 years.

But last week I felt fed up, threw caution to the wind and used the electricity in my apartment to pump the water. I was surprised the whole 3 tanks were filled in 1 hour and 27 minutes at a total cost of #310. I told the caretaker that henceforth I will be pumping the water for each tenant at a cost of #2600 per month per tenant as long as there is power in my apartment I'm. His response was I can use my electricity to pump it when it gets to my turn. But I'm considering telling my co-tenants, even though something is telling me to mind my business and let it slide.
U can tell them if you have enough money to rent around apartment Incase you're serve a quit notice, if not, face front.

TEACHER FAKES DEATH TO AVOID REPAYING LOAN

This man is a primary school teacher at Kasungu in Malawi. He has been arrested for allegedly forging official documents of his death, in an attempt to have his outstanding bank loan cancelled.

According to reports, the bank sympathised with his family and cancelled the loan after the death documents were sent to them.

However, four years later, the teacher went back to the same financial institution to apply for another loan, only for his application to trigger an alert in the bank's system showing him as deceased.

This discovery raised suspicion which led to hie arrest.

Twelve Challenges That Disappeared From Nigeria Under Tinubu

ASUU Strike
Non-payment of salaries
Half salary (Hafusa)
Fuel scarcity
Crude oil theft
Niger-Delta militancy
Ogoni agitation
Economic recession
Dollar and FX scarcity
Executive/Legislative face-off
Budget padding
Boko Haram attacks on Abuja
Southern Kaduna impunity
Police station attacks and closures in the SE

Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu is making steady progress in all spheres, but the opposition and their paid propagandists in the media will Arise to project only negative things to give you the impression that it is all doom and gloom.

But Nigeria just enjoyed a 4.43% GDP growth, which is double the global average. We also have the most profitable stock market on the planet, bar none, according to Bloomberg. The inflation rate, which was hovering at 30% on May 29, 2023, has halved, and our foreign reserves are now at an 18-year high of $54 billion.

Nigeria's GDP has added $67 billion in just two years, and we have moved from being the top petrol importer in Africa in 2023 to the number one fuel exporter in West Africa in 2026. This has enabled us to overtake South Africa to become the second-largest manufacturing capacity in Africa, with Egypt only slightly ahead of us.

As of the first half of 2026, Nigeria has experienced 23 consecutive quarters of uninterrupted GDP growth, and we are poised to have the strongest gains in the Naira since 2018, according to Bloomberg.

As a result of these economic strides, the IMF listed Nigeria as the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025, a fact celebrated by Elon Musk, the world's richest man.

Much still needs to be done, and it is being done. However, progress is evident, whether it is 1 million university undergraduates enjoying the NELFUND Student Loans or the expansion of the Nigerian Army from eight to twelve Divisions. The additional 4 divisions will increase Nigerian Army personnel by 28,000 troops.

The President also plans for Nigeria to recruit between 2,000 and 5,000 forest guards per state, depending on the state's landmass.

Nigeria will not overcome her challenges overnight. But under President Tinubu, we are overwhelming our issues over time.

Bemigho Reno Omokri

Ambassador Designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
Sincerely Reno didn't make my day with all these nonsense he posted. Tinubu administration has caused more harm than good to the economy of the country and should be voted out. Mr president seems to patronize our foreign reserve than the livelihood of the masses. Inasmuch as I agree with some of his policies, he shows his lack of understanding of how key policies will affect the lives of the people. An economy that an adverse balance of trade and heavily politically monetized will not survive such rigorous turture masqueraded as economic policies.

The only issue I have is how to sell it and whom to sell to. I doubt restaurant, lounches will accept it because it is not branded or NAFDAC approved.

I need advice on how to sell and whom should be my target audience.

I look forward to your kind advice
Your first step is getting NAFDAC approval . Nigeria is a big market and blacks generally where here or the Americas are the largest consumers of alcohol. Register your business, get your approval from NAFDAC, get your patent and probably your trademark and make your self and family very rich

My Son was attending St. Peter Catholic Private College Olomore in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. From day I noticed so many administrative irregularities and endless complaints from the Parents but I was patient hoping the school will improve.

The school did the worst to my son by recklessly registering another name for him on his junior WAEC exam, I complained for months but correction was done by the school, the school keeps making endless promises, then some other parents informed me that same error happened to thier children and no correction was done.

Unfortunately I made next term school fee payment of 92,000 before I was informed by some parents that they also suffered same problems regularly. The school fee was paid upfront before the school resumes for new term but my son didn't attend the school classes for the new term at all.

In order not to allow the school ruin my son's academic career and future, I changed his school and requested for correction on waec results and refund of ninety-two thousand naira school fee paid, but the school continue to make endless promises to refund, I was kater secretly i formed that management took advantage of my absence and applied for the fund from Catholic School directorate of education they withdrawn the money on my name but the money didn't get to ne till now.

Someone secretly informed me of the dirty deal from the Catholic School staff, and I applied for refund again through a written letter, the principal Mr. Ugwu with gsm number 08138310327 and the Bursar with gsm number 07087475511 promised to refund ninety two thousand but that I should not escalation the matter.

Since 18/12/2025 till now the school has not refunded the embezzled money and no correction was done on the boy's waec result. How do we explain this kind of atrocity and recklessness from Catholic school? I have made several attempts to recover the money and correct the names o the boy's waec all to no vail.

I am calling on Catholic Nigeria directorate of education to investigate this matter and take necessary steps, I resulted to putting the online after waiting for several months. Catholic schools as respected religious academic entity should not be found in this kind of mess. If the school did not the needful in reasonable time, I will sue Catholic School and claim reasonable damages.

School name: St. Peter Catholic Private College Olomoore, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
Principal: Mr. Ugwu.
08138310327.
Bursar: 07087475511
Why not write catholic Nigeria directorate of education rather than pitting this on social media. Putting their respective phone numbers online is wrong and against their right to privacy. Isasnuch as I condemn the school act, then putting such vital information especially their names and phone number will reduce your chances in court when you eventually try to sue them.

Parents and guardians in Lagos State have been given an important new requirement to take note of ahead of the 2026/2027 academic session.

The Lagos State Government has directed all public and private schools to make valid LASRRA registration a compulsory requirement for the admission and enrolment of learners.

The new directive takes effect from Monday, September 14, 2026.

Schools have also been directed to obtain and document learners’ valid LASRRA registration details as part of the admission process.

This means parents whose children or wards have not completed the registration may need to take action before the new requirement takes effect.

What exactly has the Lagos State Government directed schools to do, and what should parents know about the new requirement?

A renewed debate has emerged over historical United States law-enforcement records involving Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the release of portions of an FBI sworn declaration submitted to a U.S. federal court.

Von Batten-Montague-York, who shared excerpts of the documents on social media, said the records were part of a large volume of materials received and are currently being reviewed and redacted where necessary.

According to the post, the FBI's declaration, submitted to the court on August 28, 2026, referred to records connected to an investigation involving multiple individuals and alleged drug-trafficking activities.
