A thought came to my mind after reading Freeglobes post above.

I think Obiano should groom Bianca to become the next governor of anambra state, on completion of his 8yr tenure.She has the class and intellectual ability. With political experience and the right grooming,she can become the undisputed Igbo leader, just like her late husband.

She seems to understand Ojukwus vision and its quite evident from her speeches.

One good thing about Anambra is that after elections, party faithfuls shelve their sword and work towards the advancement of the state. They only start attacking each other during elections. Thats one reason why i respect peter Obi. Peter encouraged this habit of brotherhood and Obiano is threading that footstep. Good one

Imagine getting to Rojenny hoping to watch d match last sunday only to be told d match will be played @Gabros PLAY GROUND!!!!!! I almost shed tears 'cos I came with some of my friends to show case my club! @Nnewi d playground was an eye-sore especially standing for 90mins to watch d match. D turnout was impressive and I see Gabros fan base in no distant time competing with those of Kano pillArs and enyimba!!!

But if the management continues to use d Nnewi play ground d following will be some of disadvantages;

1. Most fans won't be motivated enough to maintain consistency with attendance despite d massive turnout for match day1
2. No opportunity for T.V rights bonuses and broadcast as DSTV won't show matches from there!
3. D club will lose money from ticketing as fans patronage will definitely drop

I just pray and hope they do d needful since Ifeanyi Uba had promised to biuld a befiting stadium for d team, shouldn't this be d major excuse of moving d team to Rojenny rather than this mediocrity!

Ifeanyi Uba proved to doubting Thomas-es that he meant business as he Donated TWO NEW 30 seater INNOSSON configured Airconditioned BUSES for the team. Like odenigbo aroli said, the league is still just starting, so its very early to say anything now. I just hope they will maintain the tempo so as to clinch a continental ticket. Giwa fc of jos started very well last season too but couldn't get a continental ticket due to certain events that played out towards the end of the season. I just hope they continue this way.

Standard facility guarantees no continuity. Continuity happens when there is a willing govt to carry on whatever programme a predecessor left. The mini stadia Obi constructed are being put to use almost on daily basis.

Quick questions: Assume Anambra just completed a FIFA standard stadium, who in your opinion will be responsible for its upkeep/maintenance? What events in the last one year could it have hosted and how often will the stadium be used for events befitting its status? If leased to a sports team, which team do you think has the capacity to maintain the stadium.

Let's not overflog this issue nwanne. We Ndi Anambra have got to stop labelling certain projects and facilities that make a city world class as white elephant projects. We don't have an airport but prefer using that of Enugu or Asaba and we don't see anything wrong in it. No stadium worthy of hosting an ordinary league match and you are not bothered. It's shameful brother and peter obi is to blame cos he was in position to do that but didn't.
About maintenance, what's the big deal in maintaining a stadium? How do other states with sports stadia in Nigeria maintain theirs? Must a stadium host a major FIFA competition before you consider it being put to good use? Is a sports stadium used only for football matches?

As at last month it was over 1billion and it is expected to rise to over 3billion in the next 1year. So borrowing in itself is not bad but the capacity to repay and with the rising Anambra IGR the state is good to go. Obiano is focused and committed to deliver and he is delivering already.
