You're partially wrong, ppl use vray for character rendering. its jst mainly used for arcitechtural rendering.

I have never
heard that vray was available in Maya

What is the composition settings used in creating videos for TV commercials

PAL D1/DV (720x576) 0r (768x576). So far the aspect ratio remains 4:3

Lastly if you know of any good site for After effcts tutorials please post.

Introduction

This is the second in the series of 3d challenges. Get lost in it!

This challenges will be WIP (Work In Progress) based to ensure everyone can learn from each other, offer feedback and critiques, each challenger is required to post work in progress images from model wireframes to textures, shader setups, lighting/rendering and final image. I really hope it will be fun and educative.

Theme

For this challenge, we're going strictly ORGANIC on our president (not OBJ o!) the new guy. The result should be a portrait of PRESIDENT  UMARU YAR-ADUA. you don't have to exactly match any reference image just be creative and free.

  1. Pre-fabricated models cannot be used.
  2. You can't enter more than two entries.
  3. Any image deemed to be the same or similar to one currently published will be disqualified.
  4. No entries will be accepted after the deadline.
  5. Only one final image will be acceptable from each challenger.
  6. Use whatever software you can.

After over stretching the deadline, it has finally come to an end. Well, the overall response has cool apart from the fact that you guys refused to vote . Anyway, according to the few votes we have, Wilsonhaze is the winner of this challenge (Wilson, hope you know what to do with your prize ).
