Hi, Its been a while, Check out the first episode of our animated series. The idea is to pick an issue bothering this country and satirize it, hoping you get entertained. Let me know what you think. Thanks. <<---------------------------------------------------------------------------->> [flash=550,430] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNAdpjJSdE8[/flash] |
I'm loving this topic. Can i smell change ? ![]() After reading this thread, I've noticed that the main reason synergy won't work yet is because of the lack of finance, So that means if investors don't come to our rescue this industry will remain where it is? |
Synergy, Definitely, but how do we first overcome these stumbling blocks,1. We need a very strong CG community, forum or an annual meeting or something. I know a small group started in Abuja some time back but i don't think it's active any more. 2. We need to change our mindset. We can't do it all alone and for those that think they can become the best by keeping knowledge, it won't work. |
I totally agree, synergy is the way forward. my question is this,Most of us are still on the learning curve and don't feel comfortable working in teams, i think. is it the cash factor?YES. I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to work without pay, But really, if you believe in this growing 3d industry, you won't completely be locked on the money so soon. I really wonder when i find some cg artists hiding information from other artists. i really think its a lame idea. And by the way do you think you can do all by yourself. Anyway, mr. OKX, anytime you've got a solid idea, please let me know. |
Good beginning. some areas need more light, especially the shadowed area. |
Nairaland server went down so i guess they couldn't recover some of their data |
@NWFX Nice. i like your interpretation of the contest. The animation on the t-rex threw me off, the t-rex appears to be weightless. Generally, it's nice. I also like the camera work. Keep it up. |
The Men Who Stare at Goats(imagine George Clooney was in d movie) |
Facebook link nt working. |
@Kemjisuper Thanks mehn. Happy you like it ![]() |
@AnthonyAk Thanks. Maya, premiere pro & aftereffects. This was an in-house thing so we never showed it to unilever. i guess i should give it a try, i might squeeze some cash out of them ![]() |
@xothermik Am loving your walk. I feel bad i dnt have enough time to work. |
@aphek Nice one. I think the dude is walking too fast. |
@dblock You simply place a vray rect light at the window with high enough intensity. You can also consider changing the color of the light depending on the time of the day you're planning to simulate. Hope this helps. |
@dammiesobo Thanks. Saw your blog, keep it up. |
@OKX It's looking good. I like your character's swag. I finally had time to start something. This is my first pass. All I've was set all my extreme keys and the breakdowns, no fine tuning has been done yet.The way i tackle walkcycles is, I set keys for a basic walk-cycle first, from there i started adding the kind of attitude i want for my character. |
@xothermik Wow, i'm inspired. Nice work in a short period. Critics
[li]I think you should work on the arms, add some overlapping. it's looking stiff at the moment.[/li] [li]I noticed a little bit of knee popping that's kind of distracting. i know that would be fixed for the final.[/li]
I must start soon. If it requires for my office work to suffer abit. ![]() |
@OKX Nice start. Critiques
[li]The hip movement appears to be too much. [/li] [li]The character appears to be weightless, that's because of the knee remains bent throughout the cycle.[/li]
I know this i just the starting stage. |
I hope i'll be able to finish, well, let me see hw far i can go. I will start the planning stage today. |
2weeks! Personally, 2weeks is short considering those with a full time job. Anyways, i will be using the Moon Rig for maya. |
ok. |
you can send the password here coolzpixel@gmail.com Kemjisuper:I think we should be allowed to have sfx. I plan to if the time permits. Who are the judges? or how do we plan to pick a winner? |
@OKX Nice idea. i have no addition or subtraction. ![]() |
@aphek Not exactly, send me your email address coolzpixel@gmail.com I personally think we shouldn't involve rigging, since its an animation challenge i dont see any reason we should rig. Besides, there are very wonderful rigs online that we can download for this purpose. If you feel like rigging yourself fine. But i dont think time should be allocated for that during the challenge. For those interested, check out this sites for fun rigs. http://www.animationbuffet..com/ http://www.11secondclub.com/resources/ http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downloads/character-rigs/c/ mr. OKX, please come up with something. NOTIME. |
start from here http://www.zbrushcentral.com |
^^for real |
Nice idea. I'am in. i think we should start with small actions involving one character then work up to dialogue/acting animation involving multiple characters. |
Behind bobo:I disagree. |
