To those who have become INEC chairmen on Nairaland.

Dear Social Media Activist,
It will be on Monday, or Tuesday. That is when
violence will erupt on the streets, if there will be
violence. If there will be violence? Do you set
your roof on fire and expect it not to burn?
It is natural, in the case of post-electoral
.violence, that many will curse the crude street
mobs doing the actual sport of hacking off heads
from shoulders. You, the Facebook and Twitter
typist, you will blame everyone else but yourself.
But the blood is on you. The blood of many who
will lose their lives because you were exuberantly
stupid, will be on your head.
Because, you "delivered your ward" to your party;
because Mr. this and that lost his ward to your
party; because your friend also delivered his own
ward - in an election of, say, 2 million voters in a
State, your party won by 150-90 votes in your
ward, you therefore claim categorically that your
party is "coasting home to victory"! "They'd
better not rig it overnight", you warn. You've
seen victory, judging by the trend of winning
running in your head. Anything contrary to that
reality, is rigging. Chai! But it's somehow good
to realize that blind religion is not the monopolist
of stupidity in the world. It shares that shame
with politics, nay, Nigerian politics.
Can you please be patient and wait for collation
of results to be concluded? Your result is out,
and your victory rice already cooking, when
results are yet to be collated in many states. You
say you are a member of an intelligent, order-
seeking generation, against the backdrop of an
old, lying, deceitful generation whose ass is the
target of your kicks. Can you please calm down,
and tilt your head up, down, left, right, so that all
the bolts can be shuffled back to their right
places?
Do you not realize that some ordinary people out
there are already celebrating in their homes,
because they "heard" on Facebook that this or
that party is already leading? Do you not realize
that the charge of rigging, and possible violence,
may be their later resort when that legitimate
organ in this enterprise, INEC, announces a final
result that contradicts your posts?
You claim there's no way your candidate can
lose. Because you supplied the material from
which the minds of over 60 million voters were
made, you are so certain how those people will
vote. When you see that your party is losing, you
begin to discredit the whole electoral process,
citing irregularities here and there. Ok, if after
discrediting the election your party wins, does
that mean you'll reject the victory?
So, dear Friend, if, by Monday or Tuesday, some
people who have digested your concoctions take
to violence, and possibly kill others, don't come
making updates about some amorphous culprit
out there. You are the killer!
Ok, ok, we know we need to keep tabs on the
process because we don't trust the politicians.
But we should keep tabs with our heads properly
screwed on our necks. Some blogs already have
final results, with percentage allocations! That's
keeping tabs for witchcraft. Calm down and wait
for authentic results, state by state, before you
turn up your music. Even credible media houses
are not yet saying anything on 'early lead'. Many
times in Nigeria, results have shown that
electoral victories on the social media are figures
of speech, meaning the opposite of what they
say!
Regards,
A Concerned Nigerian.

It's easy to commission structures. Has he ever visited the soldiers at the war front to encourage them even once? It's good to remember the dead but it's also important to remember the living, to boost their morale.
Many ppl are just so daft. Just because you want to join d train of GEJ critics doesn't make u lose your sense of reasoning... How can he visit soldiers at war front?? WAR FRONThuh abeg read what you type before posting it here...

Firstly I dedicate my account to "TherealStan"

Well I think the problem of Nigeria is clear to most Nigerians,

The Most Corrupt people are the "Civil Servants / Public Servants, where corruption is a "Norm" to them.
"So soldier go, soldier come, "Barrack" remains".

Our Judiciary is the Bedrock of corruption, If for instance we have an autonomous Judiciary, I'm sure 90% of our problems would be solved, Because I can confidently Sue PHCN or Kaduna or Portharcourt Electricity distribution company whenever they fail to perform their duties and this is also related to other aspects.

No matter How good the Head is, If the Legs are rotten, it cannot take the Head to where it wants to go!!!

N.B - No system is completely efficient, but we can improve greatly.

For Instance

Muhammed said the N9.2billion inclusive of Value Added Tax was approved for the procurement of 750,000 units of clean cook stove and 18,000 wonder bags.

He said the stoves are expected to be delivered by Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited within a period of 12 weeks.

Same company !!!

The Federal Government and Messrs Signature Value Homes Ltd., on Tuesday signed over 80 million dollars Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 1,672 houses in the FCT.

Where are our Journalists?
So guy u don't know what Messrs mean? who told you those companies are same thing? Smh...

Someone who has managed a state as Rivers successfully for eight years cannot be said to be lacking in competency as a Petroleum minister.
The office of Rivers state no doubt is quite bigger than that of a petroleum minister but they are definitely different things entirely....

Be it Osinbajo, Oshiomole or Amaechi, it's a sure success.

Modified*

Congrats to you GMB for sticking with someone from the SW where the election will be decided.

In 2011, Buhari did not have the support of Tinubu, Fashola and all other APC politicians which he now enjoys. I am very sure that Osinbajo was nominated by Tinubu after Buhari rejected him for the slot. So, Tinubu and the rest APC governors will surely deliver the votes.

Going SS would have been much more difficult to sell to the Yorubas because the ticket does not guarantee them the presidency even in the next eight years especially when they have been marginalized by GEJ for the past six years. So, how do you convince them to troop out on election day? Besides, nothing you can give the SS/SE now, not even the presidential slot, that will make them vote against "their son".

Once the election is won, Amaechi and other SS's APC guys will have their own dues?

An Amaechi as the Petroleum Minister won't be a bad idea for example

All in all, I see this choice as the best option to defeat PDP.

PDP/GEJ now be like " ... shitting in their pants"
Its unfortunate that most Nigerians have no idea of this country's problems...so if them leave you, you go appoint Amaechi as the Petroleum Minister because he successfully campaigned for Buhari?? does he even have the technical know-how??
