I have been using WPTangerine.com too for a while now and I am EXTREMELY happy with the professionalism, knowledge and QUICK response they exude. Their service is truly helpful and goes above and beyond what I expected and far exceeds past WordPress support services I have used. |
I support Ben Murray-Bruce for President (of Nigeria). Senator Ben is 1,000,000,000,000,000 times better than the incumbent discombobulated lunkhead. I'm talking about Dictator Mumuhammadu Buhari in case you want to know. The dictator promised to equal the Naira value to dollar, but see what we are getting today: a totally downward reverse. Not just that, the numskulled and vacuous Buhari has obliterated Nigeria in all ramifications. |
This year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will begin on February 29, the authorities of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have announced.SOURCE: http://www.punchng.com/jamb-begins-utme-feb-29/ Mods, You might want to help NLers who are JAMB candidates here. Most of them are still thinking that the reprinting of slips will start on Feb 22 as earlier speculated and that the exam will last till March 14. But there are actually new dates and new scheduling which mean candidates would have to study/act/prepare earlier than they may have planned. Just suggesting... |

Mehnnn, this is craaazzyyyy. I think it's high time they moved the official interbank rate to something around #250 - #300 per $1. Otherwise, the future of the Nigerian economy may be out on a limb. |
The Supreme Court on Monday adduced reasons for affirming Udom Emmanuel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as validly elected governor of Akwa Ibom.http://saharareporters.com/2016/02/15/supreme-court-gives-reasons-affirming-akwa-ibom-delta-oyo-yobe-guber-elections |

Lionel Messi netted his 500th career goal on Wednesday night, as Barcelona humiliated Valencia 7-0 at the Nou Camp, in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final. This tally includes 433 with Barcelona, 49 with Argentina’s national team, and 16 with his country’s youth teams. The Argentine captain grabbed his 499th goal for club and country before half time, before scoring two more to complete his hat-trick in the second half. Luis Suarez also scored four times, as Barca inflicted more misery on Gary Neville’s team.

The victory over Niger and a draw
recorded against Tunisia in the African
Nations Championships, by the home-
based Super Eagles, have helped
improve the fortunes of Nigeria on the
monthly rankings released on Thursday
by the world football governing body,
FIFA. The Super Eagles, who were ranked 66th in January, have now slightly improved to 63rd position in the February rankings just released. The home-based Eagles, who were tipped to go all the way in the CHAN tournament, failed to go beyond the first round and will now have to buckle up for the crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Egypt coming up next month first in Kaduna and then Cairo. On the continent, Ivory Coast remains the best ranked, and are at number 28 in the world. Cape Verde is second after gaining six positions while Algeria and Ghana slot in at numbers three and four in the continent and 36 and 41 in the world. Senegal is the fifth best team in Africa and number 45 in the world. With the current 20 best-ranked teams yet to play an A-game in 2016, the top 18 positions remain unchanged for the February edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. Belgium, Argentina and Spain hold their increasingly familiar top three slots while Hungary (19, plus 1) and Turkey (20, plus 1) enter the top 20 thanks to Côte d’Ivoire’s exit (28, minus 9). FIFA gave a special mention to CHAN hosts, Rwanda, who moved up six places to 85 in the latest ranking. The Wasps won three of their six matches played since early January, while also closing out 2015 with a shock-upset over African heavyweights Côte d’Ivoire in an international friendly played on 16 December 2015. The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 3 March 2016. |

– Akwa Ibom APC gubernatorial candidate in April 2015 polls, Mr. Umana Umana, lambastes legal system for alleged election irregularities – Urges Akwa Ibom people to continue to pray for much-desired change in the state and nation Mr. Umana Umana, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom has revealed that Udom Emmanuel’s victory in the last gubernatorial elections of April, 2015 is questionable but he trusts in God to provide solace and comfort for the people marginalized by the Nigerian legal system. Umana held that the Supreme Court judgment which presented Udom Emmanuel as a rightfully elected governor of the state in the April, 11, 2015 polls “calls for very serious soul- searching by our nation”. In a press statement on Thursday, February 4, Mr. Umana said the Court of Appeal issued an indicting statement in respect to the Akwa Ibom governorship election petition, a statement that must not be overlooked. Quoting the appeal court statement in respect to Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s election, Mr. Umana said: “May this country never again experience the violence and thuggery found to have taken place in Akwa Ibom State during the Governorship elections held on 11th April 2015. Mr. Umana added that following the incidence of election irregularity in the governorship poll, the people went to court for justice but were let down by an unfair legal system. He said: “As law-abiding citizens we went to court to seek justice after the disputed elections, as advised by many people and election monitors, including the United States Embassy and the European Union, which had reached independent conclusions that the elections were marred by widespread irregularities. “Our hope was that the judiciary would heal the wounds and provide succour for our people who were traumatised and brutalised during the elections, especially the families who lost their loved ones. But that was not to be.” Mr. Umana expressed confidence in the people particularly the supporters of the APC in Akwa Ibom saying even though the movement for change had been impeded in the state, it will eventually come. He was optimistic, adding that “no one can stop the march of an idea that has been embraced by the mass of the people”. He urged the people of Akwa Ibom to remain peaceful and prayerful for the progress of the state and the nation in general. He added: “We trust God, who is the God of justice, to provide solace and comfort for those who could not get justice within the framework of our legal system. “Ultimately we would all be accountable to God for our actions.” |
