Printing of call up letters was supposed to start yesterday yet no info pertaining to that on nysc portal, not even an opology to douse the tension of expectant graduates. One would think that digitalizing the whole process should have allowed for a seamless registration and mobilization but thats is obviously not the case as no info was sent to students concerning thier mobilization status as promised and now no explanation for the delay in the availabilty of the call up letters. #Smh for nysc. |
Young03:how you could wish to see clearly the picture of the injured privates of a 10yr old beats my imagination. Something so grossly inhumane! |
Dannyset:Chai!!! you are a certified clown!!! ROTFL |
Wow! Tinubu just got elected for the 5th time. |
daniel9202:so you my friend will want him voted out on the basis that he built a mosque in Imo despite him being a good leader? I can deduce that you didnt want Buhari because he is not a christian. As blessed as Nigeria is, religion and tribe will forever remain a curse that will stiffle our progress. Believe it or not Rochas is one of the best leaders in the south east. |
Quite a long letter but worth reading. It is a shame and disappointment that perons who the masses look up to, to understand thier pains and challenges, are the same persons that will turn a blind eye when the are in the position to put a smile on the face of the masses. If all he wrote in that letter is true, then its a a dissapointment that RMD is just like most Nigerian 'polithiefians' who will always siphon funds meant for the public. |
Less than 24hrs ago some haters on this page were wishing him failure. Happy for you Desmond. Let haters continue hating, thats thier job and we understand!!! |
Jwonder4eva:Fashola may not be said to be lying considering the fact that lagos in 2013 contributed 384 billion naira to the federation account. Consider the difference between the contribution and the allocation and you will agree that the statement made by Fashola could be considered truth. Lagos does not need the federal government to survive. |
italo:There you go again my friend. Would you leave Nigeria for Kenya or cotedevoire if not for an opportunity of a better Living? Or would a sensible Nigerian go to Kenya to earn a meagre living if he has the opportunity of being a millionaire in Nigeria? The term 'greener pasture is subjective and not universal, meaning I might see the opportunity of making millions in Somalia wich is one of the poorest countries in the world, the opportunity is my greener pasture. Your analogy of Nigerian /Kenya does not hold water except you want us to believe that the igbo man can have as much opportunity(Greener pasture) in his village as in Lagos or any other south Western state. |
Op, Srsly? 1. Baggy: doesnt work for me. Guys nowadays wear fitting clothes, how much more women. Except you are a nun, pls show us those curves. 2. No make up: that should be titled moderate make up and not none at all. 3. Unkept hair: nne do want to look like a mad woman? And hw could you forget something as important as the almighty UKWU!!! As weired as it might sound, it is an ego booster walking with ur babe and the guys on your street cant help but shout ''uru dia'' Any man that has mounted a well rounded ukwu cant help but be amazed by the way the water riples as you drop the stick in it. |
italo:No my friend, it is a testament of the benovalence of the yoruba man. The igbos cant get from thier land what the get in the yoruba mans land hence thier migration to these places. You may want to live in denial but the truth remains that man is always in search for greener pasture and it is obvious that the yoruba mans land supports greener pasture than the igbo mans land. Case closed!!! |
ArodeTsolaye:Oya clap for yourself for such a sensible post. Go to the thick forest of Ise-ekiti bodering ekiti and Ondo state, you will find several over forty year old Ibo born and brought up there with some even having a cocoa and palm plantation of thier own. This Ise-ekiti story is replicated is several southwestern states. Am not a southwesterner but I will say that the yorubas are the most accomodating and peace loving set of Nigerians i have met so far. So long as you are hardworking you can stay in any part of the south west make money and acquire properties of your choice. I am not sure a yoruba man can have a plantation in Ibo land. My 1 cent. |
Psalmwise:It's 'as a student' not 'has a student'. |
We realy need an english police here. Op correct your spelling and please get rid of the 'H' factor. |
Op, where is ? Last i checked, it still ranks an the no1 job website in Nigeria. |
Quite impressive i must say.... but why tagging her as Malala? Can't she have her unique identity? |
Somone whth the username johnokonkwo posted this thread stil in the trending section https://www.nairaland.com/1906849/white-demon-worshippers-trying-spread 4chan is an English-language image board website. Users generally post anonymously, with the most recent posts appearing above the rest. 4chan is split into various boards with their own specific content and guidelines. Registration is not required, nor is it possible (except for staff). 4chan has been instrumental in hijacking Internet destinations for pranks, so that, for example, images of Rick Astleyappeared instead of the page that was searched for; the coordination of attacks against other websites and Internet users; and reactions to threats of violence that have been posted on the site. The Guardian once summarized the 4chan community as "lunatic, juvenile... brilliant, ridiculous and alarming. 4chan are attempting to propagate another tasteless meme: She’s called Ebola-chan, and she’s some cross between a prank, a witless joke and a truly vile strain of racism. “Have you welcomed her into your heart yet?” Asks one post on 4chan’s “politically incorrect” message board,. “I’m talking, of course, about Ebola-Chan. The viral goddess of love and Afrocide … Our shrines and incantations give her strength.” Ebola-Chan is not, needless to say, a goddess anywhere outside of 4chan’s diseased imagination: The character is a invention, a cartoon mascot for the virus that could infect half a million people within the next four months. In fan art — of which there is, surprisingly, quite a lot — she’s depicted as a pointy-chinned, wide-eyed anime character with pink pigtails that curl into the shape of the virus. Wherever she’s posted, users are expected to replywith choruses of “I love you, Ebola-Chan” or “thank you, Ebola-Chan.” But of course, they reply with all kinds of stomach-turning stuff, as well: hopes for Ebola to wipe out all of Africa, to strike other continents or demographics, and to otherwise “remove … [the] subhumans,” as one particularly racist post put it. It’s hard to tell how much of the chatter is genuine: 4chan, with its reputation for both ammorality and mischief, has always attracted a crowd of lolz-seekers along with the sincere racists, misogynists and homophobes. But regardless of whether the fine people of 4chan actually hope Ebola kills more people, some seem bent on helping it do just that. ON SUNDAY, AN ANONYMOUS 4CHAN USER TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR A SERIES OF FAKE POSTS about Ebola-Chan on the NIGERIAN WEBSITE, NAIRALAND, which claimed, among other things, that Ebola was a demon sent by a “new racist cult in Europe and in the USA.” The posts also claimed that some Western Ebola doctors belonged to the cult. While the “rumors” were reported by outlets like Vocativand the International Business Times, Nairaland users promptly called out the trolling — much to the prankster’s disappointment. 4chan pranks usually unfold in predictable stages: an inside joke of some kind is born on the boards, its participants invent fake handles on forums or social networks to propagate it elsewhere, and everybody dances in the resulting confusion. (“It made it into the news in my country,” one man wrote of a Swiss article on Ebola-Chan. “Pretty funny.”) It stops being funny, of course, the instant that anyone misses the “joke” and takes it seriously. In January, 4chan’s bikini bridge “joke” went viral within the Internet’s pro-anorexia and -bulimia communities, to the enormous alarm of the National Eating Disorder Association. In Africa, where misinformation and superstition about Ebola flourish, that risk could be particularly high: As Reuters reported in late June, suspicion and fear of doctors has already undermined efforts to fight the disease — and that’s without rumors that said doctors belong to some Ebola-worshipping death cult. *I am of the opinion that mods should screen all threads and their op thoroughly before aproval. Johnokonkwo should be banned and the post taken down.
