I think the guy is right. There's something wrong with Android's core architecture that makes it require 4gb kf ram and octacore to stabilize. I'm sure before the end of this year will will see a 5gb of ram phone with decacore. If u ask me this is madness for s handheld. The os needs to be optimized so it can run efficiently. U need to give credit to apple for creating an os so efficient. IPhone 4s has 512mb of RAM, that is a 2012 flagship and it ran good, its still running good. Iphone 6 is running on 1gb of RAM and dual core and it is being put against galaxy s6 with 3gb of RAM and octacore. Galaxy note 5 with 4gb of ram may be faster than iPhone 6 with just 1gb in benchmarks, but in real life usage u can't notice it. Ios is very efficient and I think Google should start making Android efficient or we might soon see an Android phone with 10gb of RAM.

ya.. That's why I'm saying that while the software isn't optimized, high ram numbers will fix it. Obviously android architecture has a flaw and as you said, we already have decacore processors. They'll keep doing that b4 Google optimizes android.

But ios still have more premium exclusive apps than android, especially those acccesory apps, u know iPhone got way more accessories than android.

also when you talk of their core apps. Why wouldn't apple make them available for Android? If you want to communicate with someone through FaceTime, that person has to have an idevice. But you have Skype and hangouts which could give you access to other devices irrespective of which device they use. So i see no reason for making it i-exclusive

What's a hand held device doing with 4gb ram and octa core processors? Flac videos with complex audio codecs still trouble many flagship androids yet a 2gb windows laptop will carry Corel and complex multimedia.

The climb in hardware is to stabilise the OS which is fundamentally flawed in its core architecture. Google knows this. Samsung are only too aware hence they attempted to drop the OS for a homegrown one but lacked enough R & D and technical muscle to build and ecosystem.

you complained of the software and so the high ram numbers is the solution.

obviously, you are saying apple doesn't support upcoming developers and it also shows apple are mostly concerned about money else they wouldn't bring apple music to android.

They are confused cos they don't set their priorities right...the issues they are ment to have fixed in windows phone is pending, meanwhile there are busy adding features upon features..


And it took them more than a year to release a new flagship and drop new updates, meanwhile the updates were not too far. How do they want to catch up that way?

Microsoft isn't loosing any money. They get money from a lot of sources. A Surface phone is expected to come this year. Probably a phone that can run fallout4. I don't think they are confused. I just think they are working on something big.

Meego was nokia future, meego had fans! Nokia had followers. N9 was a great phone. Nokia would had been like apple now, assuming they continued like that after the N9, developed meego, and just do "a iphone" meego phone. A iphone as in, the way we see iphones now. Microsoft is the primary cause of all nokia problems.

Microsoft is very innovative and I'm a big fan of them. I'm sure they'll fix Nokia right.

not my opinion, fact. Some Infinix phones ran out of stock minutes after their launch. But tecno didn't. So clearly last year was favorable to infinix than tecno.

well.. That's true. They wouldn't top the chart forever but it'll take a long time because some people are just addicted to iPhone because it makes them feel like someone belonging to a high social class and not for anything.

The news of Google's project ara has been around since last year but i just felt like writing about it since you might not have heard about it.
Google's project ara involves the development of a modular smartphone. If you know fairphone 2, you'd know what i mean and if you don't, it is a phone in which every component can be independently upgraded and changed i.e the camera, speakers and so on.
Google's project ara is to be launched this year and this phone allows you to customize your phone the way you want. It comes basically with a frame with a motherboard in which you can add the components (bloks) to it. You select the screen you want, the battery, the camera, the speakers, you could put a fingerprint scanner if you want, a heart rate sensor and many other components you want. So if you want full hd, you can buy it, if you want a large screen, you can change it and so on. You can give your phone most of the specs you want and not restricted. This sounds like hardware rooting to me. So all of you that like complaining about phones not meeting your standard can simply buy the frame and put whatever you want. So put that 400mp camera you want, that 200000mah battery, that 16k resolution screen and whatever. At least you wouldn't blame the manufacturer for price.
Lest i forget, in terms of repairability, this phone will definitely be given a 10/10 by ifixit. Because any part that is spoilt will be replaced easily. So no need to carry it to Carlcare.

You could buy an activator disc. By the way, nothing will happen if it's not activated. Only that you can't personalise it i.e change profile picture, start screen bg and the rest.
