Pls I need ur help.
I slept off while using my laptop 2 weeks ago & it remained on till morning say about 4-6hrs duration.
Since. then, d LCD screen has refused to come on. The laptop gets powered, d DVD drive rotates but nothing shows on d screen.
I have tried recovery /new. OS installation bt d screen remains blank.
Pls I need honest & kind opinion of the gurus in d house or anyone dat has had similar experience.

I will advice you contact a laptop engineer to help you out. There are many reasons for that problem and it will not be wise to tell you to do this or that here because that may affect the laptop more.

ur laptop is in good condition d problem could b d module or Flex of d laptop. Ur location ?

whats the laptop model ?
Put ur hand near the vent to check if the fan is working ....
Does it display to d bios level?

The fan should be working cos there is sound.
No display at all.

I finally got someone to look at it.
He said the problem is the processor.
INTEL core 2 duo processor.
And he couldn't get it in the whole northern state am in.
Pls gurus in d house,
Where can I get it and how much?
I can ask my cousin in Lagos to go get it there.

if your screen is displaying underneath the black screen your screen module has been damaged. see an engineer.

Another engineer said its a problem with d board and argues dat if d processor was bad, d DVD drive would not open & close.

D problem is not the processor but the video chip.It fails after sometime due to heat.it needs to be reflowed.go to youtube and see videos on waht i am talking about.

Kenntech is right. Do u know any local method of reflowing, these heat guns they talk about are not easily accessible.
