I am a fresh graduate with a second class lower in Boichemistry from a Federal University.Since I have been unable to secure a job after my service, I am presently contemplating to enrol for an MSc in the same discipline. My fear is that, what if I get a job during the course of the programme knowing fully I would have paid for the tuition fee and other expenses.Shud I go ahead with the programme or take up the job that comes.Pls advice me

Pursue both. If the MSc comes 1st, do it full time. Its just 18months. Gd luck

I suggest you do your MSc before getting a job because it will increase your bargaining power for a better pay when seeking employment. Btw what area of biochemistry are you good at? Career wise, what do you want to achieve? Its better you focus on one thing. The situation in nigeria now favours biochemists with extra certificates rather than just bsc.

@ Sinister

Actually I have always had the passion for research and end up in the academia. But as this saying goes, rome wasnt built in a day and that is why I am contempting about gettin a job just to raise funds for the area I intend to specialize on, cause I cannot continue to depend on my aged parents for money.
