Chinese Government Sends Congratulatory Message To Only Gold Medalists. by ochallo: 1:11pm On Aug 02, 2012
This is really shocking and quite revealing, the chinese government has come under fire for their win at all cost sport program. This program trains athletes from the early stages of their life away from family and friends, just to ensure they win the gold. And of course the medal table is there to show and you would recall that some badminton players were ban because they were supposedly trying to lose a game to get better placements.

the most recent one is that a young gold medalist in Diving (Wu Minxia) has just been told by her father, that her grandparents died a year ago and her mother is soon to follow due to cancer, this was hidden from her to ensure that she is not distracted until she gets the gold.

Now the chinese government send congratulory message to only Gold medalists. What do you think about this system, and do you think we should have such in Nigeria, not just for sports, but for academics , health etc.
