Have you ever told yourself or someone else, "i am healthy, i eat well and hardly fall sick so i don't need supplements and check up?" if yes , then humbly accept it that you do not appreciate the world and trouble you are in. you may wish to wave this off,but you are not living in a perfect world. this is a world full of pollutants and free radicals. health has been defined as consistent energy, mental clarity, resistance to stress, freedom from infection....absence of illness, so many issues are involve in achieving the good health. Man begins the process of losing life immediately he receives it. oxygen is undoubtedly the most important gift of life,the most important nutrient we consume.however, most recent studies have shown that it is also the most damaging gift and most toxic nutrient we consume. O2 itself can destabilize many biological processes and systems in the body by stimulating the production of free radicals. there are about 73 trillion cells in the body, these free radicals can attack lipids in membranes and storage site,damage protein, carbohydrate and DNA in the cells and cause the body to be its worst enemy. Fortunately, the human body utilises mechanisms for defence against these free radicals in the form of antioxidants which can limit and disarm free radicals depending on the amount available when needed. one line of defence is a system of enzymes. nutrients such as the mineral selenium, copper, and zinc play a vital role in maintaining the effectiveness of the antioxidant defence mechanism.other protectors nutrients(antioxidant) are available to the body mainly through the fruit and vegetable in the diet. the most important of these are VIT C & E, caroteniod and flavonoid(in green tea). these ensure that free radicals dont damage your cells, unfortunately, you can get enough from food alone , so we have to supplement below are list of FOOds and its benefits ORANGES AND GRAPES the juice is very improtant in times of fever to help relieve and quench the fever's fire and eliminate poison through the skin and kidney. grapes are rich in iron, potassium, vit C and calcium. it contains an antioxidant D-glycaric acid Tomatoes it help to prevent heart disease, to slow the development of age related vision problem, it is a great anti-cancer food. the red pigments contained in tomatoe is called lycopene and beta carotene, these act as antioxidant that inhibit cancer development,it has a lot of fibre hence good for constipation. Garllic and onoins specific whole foods of the allium family i.e garlic and onoins have a long history of being associated with cardiovascular benefits. garlic is an excellent source of vit B6, C, selenium, manganese and variety of sulphur containing compounds. it has a lot of therapeutic benefits. it helps lower blood pressure, prevent diabetic heart disease, washes away bad choslesterol and stroke. its VIT B6 helps lower the level of homocysteine. its selenium helps prevent and protects against cancer and heavy metal toxicity. it is a potent antibiotic, even against strains that have been resisitant to many drugs. the allicin in garlic can stop the growth of cancer cells once they develop. it helps against colon cancer. ajoene, an organosulphur found in garlic is also useful in the treatment of skin cancer. Experience , of course, as a general rule, it should not be consume on an empty stomach because it can lead to indigestion, in the course of ripening, the small quantity of starch is converted to sugar. the malic acid in it help the bowel, liver and brain, and also neutralises uric acid poisoning. afresh apple contains about 191 unknown chemical compounds. as you eat, 1300 chemical reactions occur to break it down into its component molecules since 1950 , reports have it that the incidence of cancer is up to 44%, breast cancer is up to 60%, and prostate cancer is up to 100%, let it be understood that it is the improperly repaired DNA cells damaged by free radicals that end up becoming cancer cells. if the body were properly equipped with the right amounts of nutrients or raw material for healin itself, cancer will not have the opportunity to manifest.
