dplordx: [b]Akpabio might be a hardworking governor, but his statement is entire insincere and a total move to ingratiate himself with the president. If GEJ has his type of mindset, Nigeria wont be where it is today. What do u guys want? U are just as clueless as the GEJ u call clueless! When u ve toothache; ur toe will soar as bad as the tooth itself, so will ur head, then ur left hand as well as ur right thumb! Thats the situation with GEJ! If ur tooth can allow u bite hard on a bone, play with ur friends in a football march etc even while it hurts; then GEJ can build the nigeria of our dream, stampout corruption, fight terrorists, give us steady power and even pay clueless fools like u pocket money! Ur entire body is been paralysed just because of one tooth; its the situation with GEJ's Government as well! Things we say cluelessly are the ideal things GEJ's enemies wanted us to say, with the impression of insecurity, and "the-not-qualified" status they ve tagged on Mr. GEJ! So just shut-up and grow a brain! |

freshout1: pls, i wnt to knw why OBJ,BABAGIDA,BUHARI Nd liks r quiet on bokoram issues.aint they elderstatemen. What is all the bullshit about them quiet ? Are they the other presidents we elected in 2011. By the way, when OBJ went to meet one of the Bokoharam relative, who was killed days after, do you know, he could have being killed? I know Buhari and Babangida have spoken out against Boko Haram , you only shut your ears and close your eyes when they do, so that you can continue to feel good saying the nonsense you wrote above. Google is your friend, ok? |

Whilst it is argued that Mr President has not done anythimng to warrant impeachment, the fact remains that his office has fallen of its duties by failing to exhibit adequate competence. I think Mr President should have a careful review of his office and appoint people who have a track record of achievements as opposed to appointing persons with paper qualifications and selfish interests. |

dedeike: You are an ignoramus !, half of what you have up there are contracts awarded. Awarding contracts is one of the easiest thing to do, Infact the FEC meeting should be turned to Contract awarding meeting. What awaits the contract awarded is what a sensible nigerian should await. the past governments have awarded massive contracts, the results are there for you. |

Pukkah: Did they really "prefer" him? Me thinks they were working on self preservation. As the prez was the incumbent, they were more interested in seeking either second terms or election into offices. I think now that that battle is over, they can do as they please. GEJ is slow and outright silly but it's his good nature that has been his undoing. If OBJ or Yar'adua was on seat, the north would have witnessed a taste of what Biafra witnessed in the late 60s with jets staffing and bombing their positions and we would see if the bastard called Shekau and his sponsors wouldn't be assassinated quietly. In Nigeria, you need to be firm and mean sometimes to rule and GEJ has NONE of those qualities. |

josh4ever: They voted him. Unless you are going to confirm that he was rigged in in the North. He is slow and outright silly but it's his good nature that has been his undoing? Really? Not the part of him that you consider slow and outright silly? |

God bless u Akpabio. Very matured in his utterances. What has GEJ done 2 b impeached. Despite some of his mistakes, we should criticize him positively, proffer solutions and support him to succeed. |

i used to respect akpabio until now. will all nigerians die before he believe that jonathan is not a worthy president? ok, can akpabio say the same nonsense if his wife and children all die in the hands of boko haram? jonathan swore to protect our lives and properties but he is not doing that. the security of nigerians and what they have is supposed to be the primary assignment of our c in c but he has failed and deserve nothing but a kick. |

Sheer unpatriotism wouldn't do us any good, you see how wicked ur blind hatred for this administration has made you?it's a pity wishing the country bad. |

Re: GEJ Has Done Nothing To Warrant His Impeachment - Akpabio by Nobody: 9:12am On Aug 13, 2012 |
Kobojunkie: You conveniently left out the part I said they did so on self -preservation... Yes they voted him because they needed to have presidential backing for their own elections... What do u determine as being slow? A good natured man would NOT want to step on toes and offend his friends thus he would slow down certain actions that would result to such. Once upon a time, he was slapped as a deputy gov by a commissioner who was Alams cousin and he did NOTHING!!! All cos he didn't want to offend oga... It was a certain Patience who ran amok on hearing the news and dashed to the commissioners office to tear his shirt and dash him some slaps... So we are saying the same thing... He needs the kind of OBJ mentality...damn friends when push comes to shove |

Pukkah: Of course!!! They did! Even though he lost in some areas of the north, if my memory serves me well, it was the total votes collated that made him win. So technically, he lost in the north but still had enough votes to pull through because the margins were not too wide like in the south where he literally whooped GMB's butt! However, that doesn't explain or excuse the current stand of things today |

Northern Christians Calls For Jonathan's Resignation Over Boko Haram Statement Christians in the North have asked President Goodluck Jonathan to resign over his comment on Boko Haram. Jonathan was quoted to have said he could not crush the Islamic sect because “they are our siblings and you cannot set the army to wipe out your family”. In a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Sunday Oibe, the Northern Christian Association of Nigeria said the comments credited to Jonathan was an indication that the country was in a helpless situation as the President “does notseem to understand the aim of the sect to destabilise his administration. ” According to the CAN, it is shocking for the President to say he will not deploy the military to deal with terrorist who have been killing other Nigerians and threatening the corporate existence of the country. The body argued that it was clear that the President has been shielding the group at the expense of the lives of innocent people, urging Nigerians to have arethink on the type of president that is governing the country at the moment. The statement read in part, “What he is telling us now is that there is nothing he can do about it, but we know that the Federal Government has the capacity to stop the madness being unleashed on Nigerians. However, it is now obvious that the President will rather shield criminals. “Every Nigerian can recall how former President Olusegun Obasanjo reacted when the Niger Delta militants attacked soldiers in Udi. Even though the militants were asking for their legitimate right, Obasanjo dealt with them squarely for resorting to criminality in agitating for their right. No country in theworld will allow its soldiers, trained to defend the territorial integrity of the nation to be killed by a gang of criminals and get away with it. “Nigerians can also recall that in Zaki – Biam, Benue state, the same Obasanjo as President sent troops to deal ruthlessly with the people there for allegedly killing soldiers. “Now on a daily basis soldiers, police and other security personnel are being killed by Boko Haram members and the President has the effrontery to tell us that these murderers are members of the family and he cannot mobilise the army to deal with them. “Jonathan has failed us Christians, he has failed Nigerians and he should resign because by this statement, it is very clear that he is not capable of handling the danger pose by the Boko Haram insurgency.” Also, the Anglican Communion, Kaduna Diocese said illiteracy, unemployment and poverty in the North were not responsible for various crises in the region. In a 10-point – communiqué issued at the end of the 1st session of the 19th Synod of the Diocese and signed by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev Josiah Idowu –Fearon, insisted that illiteracy, poverty and unemployment were never the cause of the sundry crises in the region as many were wont to believe |

Nigerians are too cheap and gullible. How has All the previous investments affected the life of a common man. You can only jubilate if you're a scam or fraudster planning to devour. The so-called investments are conduits of looting, doesn't translate into ordinary Nigerian's life with 70% of them are living below $2/day. |
