Ondo 2013: Ranti Fawehinmi goes to court
Ranti Fawehinmi the flag bearer of African Rennaisance Party in the forth coming governorship election in Ondo State was yesterday the 17th of August denied the opportunity of obtaining candidate nomination forms at the state office of Inec barely 72hrs to the deadline for the submission of candidate list . The excuse was that the resident electoral commissioner was off duty on a working day. Similarly other principal officers that work with REC were also said not to be at work.
The submission of form closes on Monday the 20th of August. When contacted, the national exco of ARP has demanded that Inec should issue the forms to them with a provision of extension of time for its submission. However , on the part of the party's flag bearer, ranti Fawehinmi ,he has vowed to turn to litigations to redress the matter if he's disenfranchised of the right to vote and to be voted for as enshrined in the constitution having met all preliminary requirements.
