Relixy2k: Pls and pls, people that know about this mtn customer care job, answer my questions below: Does mtn invite evrybody that passed in the interview for the training at once or it is done in batches? Secondly, should people that are yet to be contacted for the 2nd interview be hopeful if it is in batches. Thirdly, what is the duration of the training? Thanks

Abule oshi: In all this plenty talk,i didnt see anybody complain of CNSSL or the fact of MTN use people for slave labour. Guess you guys are all excited to leave the unemployment market. Is it not the same CNSSL/MTN nairalanders blasted for using people for cheap labour? Just one person asked about salary, mayb some of you are so excited and be willingly to work for free. Make una no come hear to open thread to cry and vent una anger wen your expectations are not bin met. Cos i know it will take 6 months of budding nd all that before you start smelling the 80k base salary for CCR,80k base if you just work your regular shift,no overtime atall!

You guys should note that the whole recruitment process might not be as fast as you think. I wrote aptitude test in Ilorin in September 2011 and did two other stages of interview within the following two weeks. Eventually we were called around may 2012, so it might not be as fast as you think except CNSSL has changed.

Budding is a process where you learn your work applications in groups with someone who is more experienced on the job. For the training, you are taken through courses like GSM Architecture, Quality Assurance, MTN products & services, customer service series and so on. You will write 3 assessments during the training and your average score should not be less than 80, but its easy sha.

Gaggi: My neighbour used to work there but she threw in d towel recently. It's an ok job if u are not d ambitious type.
Pay is between 80k to 100 k mnthly, depending on ur overtime. Overtime includes night shift and working on days dat fall on public holidays.

U don't get promotion. U can keep answering calls for 10yrs. U don't get bonuses like the real staff. U get bag of rice and oil at Christmas though. They also sometimes give out mtn branded items to their CC staff. I heard they recently just started giving some few days of paid leave. Before if u take leave then it is without pay. Like i said, u will enjoy it if u are not ambitious. Most times people say they just want to work for a few mnths and leave. A few mnths rapidly turns into years.
