What Would You Do Differently As Ribadu's Replacement? by BigB11(m): 11:00pm On Dec 31, 2007
What would you do differently as Ribadu's replacement?

Mr. Ribadu did it all from great jobs to poor jobs. In fact, during the first stage of his tenure Ribadu was described as MAGNIFICENT by many, but toward the end something went drastically wrong; he became unpopular and an easy target for many in Nigeria.

What are his incredible jobs, what went wrong and how would you perform this duty differently if you were to be his replacement?

FYI: Up to 5 individuals are currently being considered to replace Mr. Ribadu; one of these folks could be any of us!

Seconded too (the secret to staying longer than Ribadu is taking orders from Ibori, otherwise you go for unsolicited study leave)

BigB1

Your thoery of Ribadu being unpopular is unfounded.

If there was anything like free and fair elections in Nigeria and Ribadu stands against Yaradua, Micheal Aondoaka and Okiro. Ribadu will poll more votes than a synergy of the later three

Not too sure whether to say sorry or congratulations to whoever is Titus Lamorde. The guy will just go on training from nowhere. All because the NPF is trying to cover up its illicit act and cladenstine motive against the EFCC. grin grin grin grin grin grin Nigeria we hail theeeeeeeeee.

The idea of this topic is not to stay longer, but to perform better than Ribadu.

Why are we missing the point?

I predict that his replacement will be better and Ribadu will be forgoten in a matter of 3 months.

Secret to performing better:
You must never, never be selective under every circumstance
You must understand the basic logic of politics
You must respect the constitution of Nigeria.
Protecting pride/ image of Nigeria must be at the top of your priority list
You must have self respect and respect for all Nigerian citizens regardless of the circumstance
You must treat EFCC as an organization not  your home based business.
You must regulate your emotion at all time (The money stolen belong to Nigeria, not your father)
You must not rush into anything (your home work must be properly done before making a move)
And finally, you must stand upright and be firmed like a real man, not a boy scout or a political fighting tool.

I'm not trying to say you guys are nobody; We are all brothers and sisters and also equal on nairaland forum.

I truly feel that the Ribadu's followers are all ordinary Nigerians; it is known all over the world that to win an election you need much more than ordinary citizens.
All things being equal in Nigeria, trust me, the total number of votes for Ribadu as president will not exceed 15%.

I dont know how u made your classifications

But most of those who are against Ribadu are those who stole Nigeria's money and their relatives and this group of people are in the minority

Absolutely incorrect!

You should try "those who are against Ribadu are those that understand real meaning of mission accomplished, have respect for the constitution of Nigeria, have solid facts regarding EFCC and selectivity operations, and refuse to settle for absolutely nothing"

In addition,
- must be less arrogant
- less visible
- be apolitical
- must not be all-knowing
- work as a team leader - not the only team player

Big B,
All your points are well noted. One can even apply it to all daily interactions at your workplace. Good points. And Ndubest, that's surely the way to go fighting corruption in Nigeria! Oldie gave us some ''words of elders''. He who has an ear, let him hear what the elders are saying.

The man was not allowed to do his job and go after everybody, he was being constantly undermined by the FG.
