Don't Hoist Biafran Flag, Police Warn MASSOB

The Abia State Police Command has warned members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to desist from hoisting their flags in the area, saying that since government does not recognise the organisation, it should not be allowed to operate.

The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Ambrose Aisabor, who made this known in Aba, the commercial hub of the state, while addressing officers and men of Ndiegoro Division of the Nigeria Police during his maiden visit to the area, stated that no Nigerian law supported the existence of such group.

Aisabor stated that as far as he remained the commissioner of police, Abia State Command, it would always be unlawful for the group to organise any form of activity and that they would not be allowed to operate in the state in whatever form.

He said: “The activities of MASSOB are no longer welcomed in the state. It is an outlawed organisation. Government does not want them and police should not allow their members to be hoisting their flags in public places in the state.”

It is their right. There God given right to hoist or fly whatever flag they wish. Nigerian police are waste of money. Go fight Boko Haram? Maba. Go fight robbers? Maba. Go fight Kidnappers? Maba. Go fight rapist? Maba. Go fight gang members in college? Maba. Go and fight any criminal that have the power to fight back? Maba but are very quick to fight groups that are either peaceful or groups they easily defeat. I do not know why they continue to pay Nigerians cops, it's probably the easiest job in the world. Massob to me are just dumb. Pick up a gun and the police would leave una alone.

@one naira: is Maba MASSOB's code Language? But seriously, we don't need secession. State flags can be pardoned but Regional flag is an indication of Secession and must be rejected by well meaning nigerians.

A word is enough for the wise... Because as far as i'm concerned MASSOB is the only group the authorities knw how to arrest, na like chicken them dey arrest them...

Why should they be warned?
No need wasting precious resources on failed States.

The Biafran flag carries different meaning and has different memories for non-Igbos than it does for Ndigbos. Some people dont wnt to relive the memories of what that flag, in its Alaigbo design orother varieties, stand for.
The commissioner's name sound Urhobo or Edo, the group impacted most adversely by the message of Biafran march and mission under the banner of that flag.
