Miracles are still happening o! After reading this post you'ld believe! Twenty one year old Adora Ugwu is one lucky girl! She was planning to become a soldier, whilst also trying to secure an admission into one of the countrys tertiary instutions as she was a candidate in the last UTME.
It so happened that two daysafter the examination which she took in Benue state, Adaora was heading home for Enugu for recruitment into the Nigerian Army when the vehicle she was travelling had a head-on collision with another minibus.
The result was her death and that of 25 others which included four discharged members of batch B National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).Twenty of them including Adora reportedly died on thespot in headon collision involving two 15 passengers’ capacity buses,each, belonging separately to Peace Mass Transit Limited and the Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRACO). The buses had registration number BENUE -XB 504 TKP,ENUGU - XL 812UWN respectively.
The ghastly crash occurred along Enugu- Markudi express road, at Amoka in Udi, Enugu State on June 20th. Immediately after the crash which was promptly reported to the Enugu State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) byits Delta State Sector Commander Lukas Ikpi who met the accident while travelling on the road, the dead including Adora were evacuated to Our Saviour Hospital morgue at 9th mile.
It was reported that two days after she had been confined to the mortuary. Sadly enough, the family hadalready prepared to bury her two day-old corpse, andeven had the attendants prepare it for mortification when suddenly she was a sneeze. It was surprising to them that the body being prepared for claim by the relatives had just sneezed. Thus they reasoned. Adora, whose body was being prepared, is not dead after all. . . .. To cut a long story short, ADAORA has currently regained consciousness, andin her own words: “I thought we were all sleeping". . . . This is the kind of good news we need to hear this new month!. .
