how do i upload my site images to
show on my public_html folder? I
uploaded them and the images are not
showing on my website.Pleaaseeee i

this /siteimges/showcase-200x160.jpg should be one of your img sc but there isn't any picture found on www.artspiremultimedia.com/siteimges/showcase-200x160.jpg just double check to make sure there isn't any error b/w your link source & the actual folder it is on your web server

Let's start with the above image and do some reverse engineering, shall we?

1) What does the above tag mean? Thanks for asking: It means that the image will be in the "siteimages" folder, relative to where you are on the site. Since I got that tag from the home page, it means that it will be in the /siteimages/public_html/ folder. Do you see what is wrong with the way you have it here? I surely hope so.

2) I also tried removing the ".." so that the image would be "absolute" referenced from the server, regardless of where you are but alas! Your "siteimages" folder either doesn't exist or it does but not directly under "public_html"

3) Finally, I modified the tag like so:

<img width="129" height="100" border="2" alt="Web Design Nigeria" src="img1.jpg">

Voila! The image showed up. This tells me that you uploaded all your images to the root (public_html) of your server...Not a good judgement call.

Suggestions:
1) If "siteimages" folder doesn't exist, create it and move all your images there. Then, reference your images like so:

<img width="129" height="100" border="2" alt="Web Design Nigeria" src="/siteimges/img1.jpg">

This is just the "ABC" of folder organization. If I were teaching a class, I would have an intermediate section where I would teach you stuff like why it is a good thing to group similar images in different folders. For now, what I am saying here will suffice.

2) If you are not using them currently, I strongly suggest you start using firefox and its firebug extension.

go back to your folder where you have the website create a folder and name it images then move all your images to the folder.Go back to your local server insert the images from the folder to the website save and upload again.whenever you insert images to the website on a local server the directory will be <img width="129" height="100" src="imges/naira.jpg"> depending on the name of the image and sizes which is to be determine by you/
