Autocrat!

Yes, I am of the opinion that what Nigeria needs at this time is a well-intentioned, strong-willed, powerful autocrat. In an autocratic system, provided the leader is well-intentioned, intelligent and have the political zeal, he can turn things around. The problem with Nigerian democracy is that even if the leader is of good reputation, too many people in the government could spoil his good plans because of their selfish interests, and trying them could be problematic because of their "power" and some imperfection of the legal system.

If, for example, the president wanted to upgrade our electricity to optimal specification, strong cabals that benefited from the electricity failure could sabotage the good plan. However, if he were autocratic and wanted the electricity fixed, no man could stand on his way.

Assuming our democracy is not working, what do you think is the way forward?

U re absolutely wrong,

The problem of Nigeria has always been Autocracy i.e Military Intervention into our Democracy in the first,second and third republic.

What do I mean,

Nigerian as a system should be left to determine her way forward just like forces of demand and supply determine price(Bingo)....

The people shall determine there Government one day...for instance now,Nigerians are scared of protesting civilian Govt's policies simply because the Military Govt has created so much fear in us......
See,
when it comes to subsidy removal .....Nigerians came out and protest(cuz they ve been pushed to the wall)......

Imagine a Nigeria without Military Era, things would have changed for better cuz Nigerians would have revolutionise Nigeria for Good .......Not the Military revolutionisin the country for the people.....

Thats why till today our constitution is still autocratic(concentrates too much resources/responsibilities @ d central in a federal system) .....and that very documents is our problem untill Amended to the people's choice....
One day Nigerians shall revolutionise Nigeria for better......the indices re building up:
Increasing food prices;
increasin fuel prices;
Non-satisfactory salary that commensurate with level of various increments;
infastructural/social amenities probs;
Fear of ethnic domination;
Govt's Irresponsiveness/Irresponsible,
CABALS,

worst,More idle youths:
Those seeking admissions and those seeking for Jobs......tis all gonnna be YOUTH's DAY!!!!!! Supported by there daddy and mummygringringrin
