We Nigerians and our leaders are behaving as if we never had a First Lady. If successive Nigerian leaders have been breaking the law by running their wives' offices with public funds that were not provided for in the Constitution, then the affairs of their wives cannot be treated as the private affairs of the presidents; they have become public property.
So, why would President Jonathan be pretending that the fate and welfare of Dame Patience Jonathan is his private affair and that the nation is not entitled to know her state and whereabouts? For the very last time, President Jonathan, where is our First Lady?
