Santa maria college is a private school located at Ibusa Delta state in Nigeria. The school was a very popular and standard school. S.M.C operates a boarding and day facility for students afar off and those closer to the school respectively. The school was a grand and excellent school until disaster struck arising from a dispute between the family owners of the school. Due to this disaster or dispute it was divided, and the college and primary was divided under separate leadership and management.
Under a new leadership S.M.C , was headed for doom as the new principal Mrs Chinelo took office, while the director took leave to the U.S.A . Just as the saying goes "divided we fall", how can Santa Maria stand when it is divided against itself? The students at S.M.C were severely warned not to for any reason go to the primary quarters or talk to any of their staff! and this was proposed by the principal Mrs Chinelo.
Now this terms academics session which is the first term september 2012, say S.M.C in the shadow of its former self. With rapid decrease in the number of students, leaving the compound scanty and boring. Teachers were sacked undully while some resigned due to the the rude and unrully behaviour of the principal, and each left with a bad comment about her and the school. Some list we managed to gather of sacked or resigned teachers are Mr Famous-Agric teacher , Mr Ndubuisi-Physics teacher Mr Ifeanyi maths teacher and so many others.
The public is now waiting for the management to take a meaningful step towards the betterment of Santa Maria College before "leaking boat sinks finally into the muddy river"
