Got a text from BATN concerning a test schedule for the recently advertised graduate programme.

I also got the text message, they said they will get back tomorrow for the online test.

When did u get the text? And what's the date scheduled for it?

@Dee60 no be fight o, but we are in Nigeria, 60% of people who get work nowadays is not on merit, so I don't understand what you are saying, so what is bad there in putting heads together and solving a problem, abeg Bleep off.

do u mean u now work at BAT? My sis did dat of last year, it was SHL but she cudn't make BAT. She eventually got herself a place at Etisalat

I hear you. The cost at the end of the day is enormous. There are too many opportunities these days that Nigerians are excluded from simply because they think that Nigerians cheat. These tests are common any way and they are not checking your level of intelligence. They just want to see if you have the right logic for the job. 'Putting heads together' does not improve your chances. You just need to concentrate, have the right focus, read instructions well and answer as much as you can within the time-frame. you can practice logic questions to get yourself ready. There are sample questions free on the net.

You can get it on merit. Why on earth do you doubt yourself?

I also got the text. I have some which i used for PriceWaterHouseCoopers recruitment and it helped me cos i passed all test and believe me am not so good with maths just that i practiced really hard. I got to the last stage of the recruitment and even passed their interview but a mere personality test threw me out at the very last stage. So please read SHL and personality test just incase they try to pull that kind of stunt.

Since test like these are graded on percentile, I do not know if 'working together' will benefit all(hopefully this 'working together' is not some code name for cheating')....if the company needs 10 ppl to advance to the next round, they will simply pick the top 10 scorers...if 20 ppl worked together, it will pollute the pond and you might in the process give someone an undue edge over yourself...my advice, inquire about the examine and nature of the materials, study hard and bring in your best game...do not collude rather be competitive.....

This situation does not exist in national exams like JAMB, GCE, etc because the pool is very large...but here we are talking of a single company that will only employ a few into their graduate program.

categories (verbal, numerical and
abstracts).
g'luck. keep calm and eat cake. :-D
for reals though, shl tests are much easier than gmat. just practise.
